Chilean female fronted speed metal act SENTINELS are set to release European CD version of their debut album, “Trasciende”, on November 19, 2021, on Iron Oxide Records.

The album has originally been released digitally in 2020, and features Jacqueline Jara on vocals. Most recently SENTINELS anounced working on new material, with several different vocalists. The band was formed in 2017 as SENTINEL, and under that name released demo and an EP. In 2020, already as SENTINELS, the band released 3-track EP and few months later, debut studio album entitled “Trasciende”.

SENTINELS plays uncompromising Speed Metal, influenced by early AGENT STEEL, MESSIAH FORCE or the German speed metal act WARRANT.

THE RASMUS & APOCALYPTICA have released a new single “Venomous Moon”, out today on Playground Music.

“Venomous Moon is about isolation and being separated from the world, but I wrote it before the virus came along. I must have caught a glimpse of the future, which then added a whole new layer of melancholy to the song,” explains singer Lauri.

WATCH & LISTEN

Venomous Moon is the second single from The Rasmus coming album, recorded during the pandemic, with the band members being stranded in Hawaii, Helsinki and Sydney and with the producer Joshua in England. It is co-produced by Martin Hansen, who has worked with The Rasmus on four albums, including their breakthrough single In the Shadows. He has also worked with Apocalyptica before, who are contributing to the track with intense cello riffs of the kind that is their trademark. The Rasmus’ singer Lauri Ylönen and Apocalyptica have joined forces earlier, on the songs Bittersweet and Life Burns.

The music video is directed by Vertti Virkajärvi and produced by No Office. Both bands are performing in the video, which is inspired by the “Stranger Things” TV series and features spooky creatures stemming from the same deep forests as the Groke in the Moomin stories.

The Rasmus will embark on a World Tour in the fall of 2022. Tour Dates can be found listed below.

Morten Veland (SIRENIA, MORTEMIA and founder of TRISTANIA) is about to release the fourth Mortemia single from ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’. The song features Liv Kristine on guest vocals, and is due for release on the 10th of September 2021 via all digital platforms. The track is entitled ‘Decadence Deepens Within’.

After 11 years of silence Norwegian multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist Morten Veland is once more active with his solo project Mortemia, this time with a brand new concept. ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’ is a series of singles  released on a monthly basis, each song featuring a well known and highly profiled singer in metal. Madeleine Liljestam (Eleine), Marcela Bovio (Stream of Passion, Ayreon, MaYaN, The Gentle Storm, Dark Horse White Horse) and Alessia Scolletti (Temperance) were the three first special guests on this project. And now for the fourth single Morten has teamed up with Liv Kristine. Liv Kristine has achieved huge success with her former bands Theatre of Tragedy and Leaves Eyes in the past, and is now focusing on her solo career.

Pre-save HERE.

Here follow quotes from Morten and Liv Kristine:

Morten Veland:

I am proud and honored to introduce my long time friend and fellow Norwegian Liv Kristine as my special guest for ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’. The fourth song is entitled ‘Decadence Deepens Within’, and will be available on all digital platforms on the 10th of September 2021. Liv Kristine is truly one of the pioneers of the genre, and she certainly has paved the way and opened many doors for many bands that emerged in the late nineties and after. This song is really inspired by the nineties era, and I could not think of a more fitting singer than Liv Kristine to sing this song. The song really takes me back in time and gives me a good dose of that nineties nostalgia. Working on this project so far has been an amazing journey for me, and I feel truly privileged to have Liv Kristine onboard this project. I am really looking forward to sharing this song with you all.

Liv Kristine:

After more than two decades, each one of us composing, recording and touring (even sharing stage and tour bus) the world with our music, Morten reached out to me for a collaboration. As soon as I heard the track on my headphones I thought “it was worth waiting”. The Mortemia song ‘Decadence deepens within“ is a brilliant piece of music and it feels like it has been made for me.” Now it’s time to let the world hear it. It’s Norwegian magic.

A SECRET REVEALED Unleash First Single ‘As I Watch You Perish’ Feat. Nicolas Ziskate

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 4, 2021
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: A SECRET REVEALED. Leave a comment

Hailing from southern Germany, A SECRET REVEALED mostly play with groups that display a comparable mindset and similar sound – the likes of Ancst, King Apathy, Downfall of Gaia and Der Weg Einer Freiheit. The musicality of the quintet, active since 2012, is forward-looking and organic. Their third album “When The Day Yearns For Light” is again characterized by gloomy, oppressive walls-of-sounds that reveal a post-character and create intense style combinations between various metal styles and the undeniable hardcore roots of the musicians.

SINGLE NOW AVAILABLE ON ALL DIGITAL PLATFORMS

As on their debut “The Bleakness” (2015) and the 2019 LIFEFORCE RECORDS debut “Sacrifices”, A SECRET REVEALED’s playing is characterized by furious uncompromisingness, but also the ability to look inward. The title of the third album sets the direction: at first, “When The Day Yearns For Light” seems to be power-sapping and destructive on its own. On closer listening, however, the cathartic nature of the album, which deals with existential feelings, is soon revealed. In view of this, it is no wonder that A SECRET REVEALED play so intense and emotionally dense.

Behemoth released their latest full-length, I Loved You At Your Darkest, in 2018 to critical acclaim. I Loved You At Your Darkest marked a milestone in the history of the band, being not only their most successful album, but also an audiovisual masterpiece: from its detailed, blasphemous artwork, to the highly vicious and at the same time deeply emotional tracks, Behemoth once again played with fire – and ignited a wildfire burning the narrowminded bigotry of Christianity down to the ground.
