Norway’s masters of death metal BLOOD RED THRONE have released a cataclysmic new single today, titled ‘6:7’. The song is featured on the band’s upcoming, 10th album, “Imperial Congregation”, that’s due out October 8th from Nuclear Blast.
Founding guitarist Daniel Olaisen comments on the song: “‘6:7’ has one of the most epic solos in BRT history. A super heavy riff and some real kick ass headbanging parts throughout the whole song!”
“Imperial Congregation” Tracklisting: 1. Imperial Congregation 2. Itika 3. Conquered Malevolence 4. Transparent Existence 5. Inferior Elegance 6. We All Bleed 7. 6:7 9. Consumed Illusion 10. Hero-Antics 11. Zarathurstra
With over 25 years and 10 albums soon to be under their belt, BLOOD RED THRONE is dedicated to the continual delivery of straight forward, exceptional death metal with “Imperial Congregation” being no exception. “This time around we’ve made something new and fresh in our sound. We felt it from the very first song that was written; this will take us to a whole different level in terms of arrangements, riffs, vocals… everything. We are super-excited to share this with our fans, and in cooperation with the greatest label ever,” says Olaisen.
“Imperial Congregation” delivers quality, old school sound while reflecting in part upon the self righteous nature of humanity and its incessant need to destroy itself through power, ignorance and religion. “We live outside this system,” explains Olaisen. “We don’t join in on the sheep mentality. Create your own possibilities, be responsible for your own misery or success!”
The haunting, organic album artwork was designed by the infamous Marcelo Vasco. The image displays a flock of old, religious men as they meet in secrecy to design the laws of lower society. “Many of our lyrics deal with our skepticism of religion, and of mankind in general. Be free or be dead,” says Olaisen. “Two gigantic skeletons tower over the men of worship as they dictate human fate by candlelight.”
Death metal power trio INHUMAN CONDITION have recently announced their first tour, dubbed the Tourantula, which will be a two-week run on the East Coast of the USA, kicking off in Orlando at Will’s Pub on tomorrow September 4th.
Today, the group reveals that Florida death metal multi-instrumentalist Lee Harrison (MONSTROSITY/TERRORIZER) will play drums with the group on their debut tour. Support on the tour will come from Chicago-based death metal/black metal band CRUSADIST.
Harrison said: “Going to be hitting the road with the Inhuman Condition boys. Should be a ripper. I’ve known Jeramie for a while, locally, here in Tampa. We did some wild bus rides down in Guatemala and El Salvador (when Terrorizer and Venom Inc did some shows together in Central America). So, it is good to be jamming together in this project. Of course, I jammed with Terry Butler several times in Obituary back in 2012, and again in 2018, when I filled in with those guys. So always a good jam with him. First time jamming with Taylor and he has made it smooth and easy. Looking forward to hitting the road on this East Coast run and getting back out even during these turbulent times. I hope to see you all out there and expect some hard-hitting shows.”
Tourantula East Coast Tour dates: Sept 4 – Orlando, FL – Will’s Pub Sept 5 – Chapel Hill, NC – Local 506 Sept 7 – Chesapeake, VA – Riffhouse Sept 8 – Wilmington, DE – Bar XIII Sept 9 – Baltimore, MD – Shamrock Inn Sept 10 – Clifton, NJ – Dingbatz Sept 11 – Staten Island, NY – Mother Pugs Sept 12 – Albany, NY – Empire Sept 13 – Providence, RI – Alchemy Sept 14 – Turtle Creek, PA – Sub Alpine Sept 15 – Canton, OH – Buzzbin Sept 16 – Knoxville, TN – Open Chord Sept 17 – Atlanta, GA – Vision Studios Sept 18 – Gainesville, FL – High Dive Sept 19 – Tampa, FL – Brass Mug
INHUMAN CONDITION showed up on the scene earlier this year, releasing 4 singles between the end of April and the album’s release date on June 4th on Listenable Insanity Records. The music for Rat°God was written by Taylor Nordberg (Guitars, THE ABSENCE, FORE) and Jeramie Kling (Vocals, Drums – VENOM INC, THE ABSENCE, FORE) in the fall of 2019 for what was to be the new MASSACRE album, whom both were members of. After their departure from the group the following year they teamed up with fellow former MASSACRE, and current OBITUARY member Terry Butler (Bass) and formed INHUMAN CONDITION.

CYNIC are now sharing a touching tribute to late bassist Sean Malone, who died on December 7, 2020. To commemorate Malone’s legacy, CYNIC has released a never-before-heard recorded performance of the song “Integral,” in which Malone performs fretless bass. “Integral” was originally released as a solo guitar and vocal track on Cynic’s ‘Re-Traced’ EP. The emotional tribute can be found at THIS LOCATION.
In addition, CYNIC founding member and guitarist Paul Masvidal has shared the following statement:
On the passing of Sean Malone: Since my friend and Cynic bandmate Sean Malone’s passing in late 2020, many people have publicly speculated about, and privately reached out to me regarding, the circumstances of his death. I have kept my silence as I have worked through my grief and out of respect for Malone’s privacy. Questions and rumors have persisted, so I want to share what I can with the many fans whose lives he touched so deeply and who are seeking closure.
On December 7, 2020, Malone was found dead by suicide in Largo, Florida, where his mother had lived. She had been ailing for some time before her death in 2018; Malone had been her sole caregiver during her difficult final year. Then, in January 2020, we suddenly lost our bandmate Sean Reinert. Combined with his mother’s loss, it was an emotional double whammy that hit Malone hard.
After his mother’s death, we spoke often, having long chats about grief, loss, and the future of Cynic. I urged Sean to move out to California and live with me so he could get back on his feet and start fresh, and he did. I noticed a newfound vigor in Malone I hadn’t seen before. He was excited to be in the world again, we were working on new music, and he even began teaching bass privately. Then came the pandemic. Everything shut down and so did Malone. His pain and suffering re-emerged and his light began to dim.
Matters took an unexpected turn. Late one early summer night, he disappeared. I called him, left messages, texted, emailed, contacted missing persons and everyone we had in common, but no one had heard anything. There was no response. He quit the world. My hope that he was regrouping in private and would turn up safely turned to heartache on December 7th.
As I share this sad news about his death, I want to celebrate his life by sharing one of his most beautiful and lyrical moments ever recorded, and one which his fans have not yet heard. A few years after the release of Cynic’s ‘Re-Traced’ EP, Sean Malone recorded fretless bass on this solo guitar and vocal track titled “Integral.” Here’s a video celebrating his playing, and a full transcription in his honor along with the song file for download.
I am grateful to be able to share this video with you now, and I will share details about new music in the coming weeks. Please celebrate the genius and transcendent talent that was Sean Malone. Read more about his fascinating life, unique passions and accomplishments at his Wikipedia page.
As an act of support, and in honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, I invite you to donate as you wish for the “Integral” song download which comes with a guitar/bass transcription of the song and an instrumental (no bass mix) for fellow musicians to play along with. 50 percent of proceeds will be shared with suicide prevention organizations To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA), and The Trevor Project. The remaining will go towards funding a documentary about the lives and artistry of Malone and Reinert.
With love and courage, Paul Masvidal

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA have released their newalbum “Aeromantic II” today! The new album ofSweden’s most famous cabin crew is another thrilling journey to the band’s core and their passion for traveling and being in motion – accompanied by the balance act of bittersweet sadness and pure joy of life.
But before heading off to your next destination, please take some time to listen to the pilot’s announcement: “Aeromantic II is another triumphant return from classic rock heavy-weight contenders The Night Flight Orchestra. At least they don’t seem to plan on throwing in the towel anytime soon. A celebration of life with that constant undercurrent of Swedish melancholy, Aeromantic II is the golden glitter that you don’t want to get rid of, even if it gets stuck everywhere. It’s every memory you didn’t know you had, and every future you didn’t know that you were wishing for. It’s the fork in the road, the light in the tunnel and the unexpected fudge in the unassuming loaf of bread that is life. Bear with The Night Flight Orchestra, and they will teleport you into the neverending sinful, neon-lit night by pure Swedish willpower. Those men and women won’t back down, but you know that they love you, even though they might come across as a tad too much at times.”
Here‘s your gateway to all possibilities of listening and buying “Aeromantic II”.
Together with this epic ride of an album, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA releases a stunning video for their song “Change”. Tune in for the video premiere and join the band for a glass of Champagne and a nice chat in our virtual open sky lounge. Boarding starts 16:00 CET. Here’s to the check-in:
The band continues: “Are you looking for a shiny surface? Are you looking for depth? Are you looking for the emerald arch that bridges the opposites? Look no further. The Night Flight Orchestra has landed once again, albeit briefly, to provide you with another slice of the meaning of life. Aeromantic II will leave you shaken and stirred, but at the same time euphoric and enlightened. The Swedish rogues will bring the disco to the wastelands, the sweltering sun to the ghostly marshes and the fairy dust to the seemingly hopeless. There is always a pulsating hedonistic heart in the middle of everyhing, and The Night Flight Orchestra gives you another roadmap full of clues and obscene illustrations, before taking off again on that journey that never ends, and that seems to be taking them nowhere and everywhere at the same time. But that’s also exactly why, on that journey, everything seems to be possible”
The countdown has started! With a big bang, Metal heroes BEAST IN BLACK start the preorder for their´cyberpunk time travel “Dark Connection” that will see the light of the day on October 29th.
Together with this announcement, the band releases their first appetizer of “Dark Connection”. Close your eyes, get a little cosier and let BEAST IN BLACK invite you to a “Moonlight Rendezvous”. Watch the video here:
Guitarist Anton Kabanen states, ”Moonlight Rendezvous is a massive dark cyberpunk love story that marks a brave new turn in Beast In Black’s journey. It felt like a mission impossible to capsulize a story worth a full length feature film into six minutes without making it feel like a trailer, and still make total sense when you put all the pieces together. But as always, the bigger the challenge the more it feeds our ambition and excitement, hence we knew we must do this! That’s the way of the Beast. And we all can easily agree that no one was as driven as our multi-talented director Katri Ilona Koppanen, who didn’t only make an extraordinary video for Beast In Black which we couldn’t be more proud of, but also her brilliant debut as a director.”
The track list for “Dark Connection” reads as follows: 1. Blade Runner 2. Bella Donna 3. Highway To Mars 4. Hardcore 5. One Night In Tokyo 6. Moonlight Rendezvous 7. Revengeance Machine 8. Dark New World 9. To The Last Drop Of Blood 10. Broken Survivors 11. My Dystopia 12. Battle Hymn (MANOWAR Cover) 13. They Don’t Care About Us (MICHAEL JACKSON Cover)
