Swedish Death Metallers DESOLATOR are proud to finally unveil the music video for “Creatures of Habit”, taken from their debut album ‘Sermon Of Apathy’!
A lot of work went into the making of this video, and the band would like to thank everyone involved in the making of it. Special thanks to the guys at NRDFLX Visuals who really went the extra mile in helping the band realising their vision! Check out the video below.
British rock legends THUNDER have shared a new live video for their track ‘Destruction’, recorded as part of their Thunder TV special which streamed earlier this year, which features as part of the upcoming expanded edition of their most recent album ‘All The Right Noises’ out on 24th September 2021 on BMG.
Filmed at Siyan Studios in High Wycombe, the webcast of this unique performance was streamed for 48 hours on the weekend of the album’s release. The show was comprised of a set list of almost all the tunes from the new album, plus some of their biggest hits, a Zoom Q&A with fan club members, and set changes from plugged in electric to sit down acoustic. The 90 minute set was a runaway hit with Thunder fans all over the globe. Classic Rock said of it ‘Thunder are in prime form, obviously loving performing again, and throughout they accentuate the special in this TV special’.
Thunder founders Danny Bowes and Luke Morley will also embark on a UK Tour in November 2021. The shows will be based around the bandmates’ new book ‘Danny & Luke – The First 50 Years (1971-2021)’, which is released in September, and tell their story from when they first met at secondary school to achieving success with Thunder, and right up to present day.
Thunder will play 2 festive Xmas shows at KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton on December 17th & 18th.
The Thunder arena shows will begin in May 2022, culminating on May 28th at the SSE Wembley Arena in London.

San Diego quintet AS I LAY DYING announce “Two Decades Of Destruction” European 2022 Tour. The 29-date tour kicks off in Germany with stops in France, Sweden, and Italy before returning to Germany for the Impericon Festivals. Joining the band on the trek are DYING FETUS and EMMURE with select dates including FIT FOR A KING.
Tim Lambesis states, “I’m incredibly grateful to have a chance to go back out on tour and for the tremendous support we‘ve had on the ‘Shaped By Fire’ touring cycle so far. When I started AS I LAY DYING I never imagined we’d have a chance to travel the world as we have, and now we’ll be going back to places that feel like a second home at times. The band has been such an important part of my life personally, so it is very meaningful to see our music connect with so many other people as well.”
“It’s a huge milestone for the band to reach the 20-year mark, something which couldn’t have been done without the support and encouragement from our fans” comments Phil Sgrosso. “We feel that it is our responsibility to them to keep pushing ourselves in providing better music and a better live show. That is why we are looking to go bigger than we ever have before with our stage production as well as curating a live setlist that will span and highlight pinnacle moments from the band’s career. We are excited to return to the stage to celebrate this monumental occasion and hope to see many familiar faces in the crowd. Big thanks to Impericon for having us as this year’s festival headliner as well as DYING FETUS and EMMURE for joining us on the trek.“

The American frontier: Where lost highways stretch into darkness and undisturbed deserts speak a language as ominous as it is otherworldly. This is the tableau of SpiritWorld.
Self-described as DEATH WESTERN, SpiritWorld is also the aural vision quest of Stu Folsom, a Las Vegas native who has taken the intensity of that blasted desert heat and given it voice on the band’s debut, “Pagan Rhythms” for their new label home, Century Media.
To celebrate the new partnership, SpiritWorld release a brand-new video for the song “Comancheria”, which perfectly underlines the artistic statement of Stu Folsom’s music.
It was that purity of Folsom’s vision that immediately won SpiritWorldinternational acclaim on the limited 2020 self-release of “Pagan Rhythms” via Safe Inside Records.
Daniel Carter, influential BBC 1 DJ and curator of The Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter gave the record almost immediate attention.
Metal Sucks premiered the record with an immediate rave:
“SpiritWorld makes the kind of metallic hardcore that sounds like it might actually summon Satan from the lowest depths of Hell.”
Even the likes of Exodus/Slayer guitarist Gary Holt and Former Sepultura/current Soulfly leader Max Cavalera raved about the album on social media.
Not surprisingly, SpiritWorld, was quick to gain the attention of Century Media who saw Stu’s vision and inked the band.
Says Century Media Vice President of A&R, Mike Gitter:
“SpiritWorld is sonic worldbuilding in the boldest way. It’s a vision of the American West as somewhere south of heaven that’s equal parts Slayer, Louis Lamour and Sam Peckinpah – full of dust, dirt and blood.”
Conceived entirely by Folsom and produced by Sam Pura (The Story So Far, Self Defense Family), songs like “Comancheria” or the blast-beat propelled “Unholy Passages”, courtesy of drummer Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta/Trash Talk) who plays on half the album with ex-Apiary skins-man Adam Elliot playing on the other.
SpiritWorld will begin their long ride this Fall, playing one of their inaugural performances for “Pagan Rhythms” at Decibel Magazine’s Metal & Beer Fest, being held in Los Angeles, December 10-11.
“It’s about trying to write killer songs and craft a classic record,” says Stu, whose love for the likes of George Jones or the legendary L.A. punk band X runs as deep as his metallic roots. “With ‘Pagan Rhythms’, I set out to distill my love of thrash, old school death metal, and hardcore into something new that would hit like a tomahawk right in the face. When I first started telling people about this idea, I had to merge Western imagery, horror fiction and heavy metal into an all-out sonic assault, it seemed ridiculous, but I truly believe that if you make great records people are a lot more willing to embrace your weirdness and come along for the ride.”
The debut album “Pagan Rhythms” will be re-released on November 5th via Century Media Records and is now available (physical) for the first time outside of North America.
The album is up for streaming on your platform of choice and available in various formats for PRE-ORDER
MITOCHONDRIAL SUN, the ever-changing solo-project by Niklas Sundin — best known as a founding member and guitarist of Swedish metal icons Dark Tranquillity — is gearing up for the release of his brand new EP entitled Bodies And Gold!
After 15 albums as a metal guitarist, with MITOCHONDRIAL SUN Sundin started his first public forays into different musical realms, and he doesn’t show any signs of slowing down anytime soon: Following his 2020- solo debut and the critically acclaimed Sju Pulsarer not even a year later, the multi-instrumentalist is about to release his new EPin a couple of days through Argonauta Records.
The Bodies and Gold EP features six tracks of dystopian electronic music in a wide variety of moods and will be released on September 10 on all digital formats. The already sold-out limited edition vinyl version is (as those who pre-ordered it already know) somewhat delayed due to the supply chain problems that the whole vinyl pressing industry are experiencing. But to shorten the wait for Sundin’s upcoming magnum opus, today MITOCHONDRIAL SUN shared an epic video clip for the EP title track! Says Sundin:“The title track of the EP is probably among the shortest and catchiest songs that I’ve ever written, and therefore stands in stark contrast to some of the other material on the record. It’s based on a minor chord sequence that progressively takes on a more colourful feel. As for the video, I once again went for something symbolic and open for interpretation rather than weaving a complex narrative with an obvious storyline. Make of it what you will.”
Dive deep into the sound world of MITOCHONDRIAL SUN and watch the new clip right here:
MITOCHONDRIAL SUN’s core of the music is an electronic and instrumental affair, that ranges from quiet meditations on space and time to relentless cosmic storms; from a sonic journey into fast, urgent and chaotic songs of the bleakest black metal sound, yet MITOCHONDRIAL SUN is full of emotionally charged melodies and atmospheric soundscapes lurking beneath the surface. Falling somewhere in between the contemplative and moody debut album and the intense Sju Pulsarer successor, each song – from the cinematic and slow moving opener to the industrial full-throttle closing track – differs a lot from each other in style, but share the same vibe: Dystopian and cold, yet organic and occasionally hopeful.
