LUCIFER Release New Single & Video for “Crucifix (I Burn For You)”

LUCIFER – one of the hardest working and incendiary acts in rock music today, has unveiled yet another new offering from their upcoming new studio album. The band is thrilled to share the third single from their soon-to-be-released LP, LUCIFER IV. The new single, “Crucifix (I Burn For You)”, is out now and available on all major streaming platforms. Watch and listen to the single  HERE.

Speaking about the music video for the new track, vocalist Johanna Platow Andersson shares:

“We are thrilled to release the music video for our new single ‘Crucifix (I Burn For You)’.

The sequel to our last video ‘Bring Me His Head’ was shot in one take with a vintage 70s tube camera just like its predecessor by photographer Crille Forsberg and directed by Amir Chamdin. It has been a true honor to work with them, especially considering the astonishing portfolios they have under their belt. They’ve literally worked with anyone from The Hellacopters to Adele, from Ghost to Pharrell Williams. Very notable for me personally was Crille shooting David Bowie’s very last video ‘Lazarus’, that shook me to the bone. Well, and now they’ve worked with Lucifer. And what a bloody workday it was!”

‘LUCIFER IV’ will see an October 29th, 2021 release via Century Media, and is available in various formats.

JACK FROST’s BROTHERS IN ARMS Release Lyric Video for ‘The City Never Sleeps’ Feat. FM Vocalist STEVE OVERLAND

BROTHERS IN ARMS is the brainchild of guitarist/composer Jack Frost (Savatage, Seven Witches, Lizzy Borden, etc…), who along with several recruited iconic rock brothers, has made it his mission to prove rock music will never die. The guys unified to take a stand against the doubters and cynics who have claimed that it’s simply not possible to resurrect this celebrated music in which so many lasting and fond memories were built around. Banding together, Jack & the Brothers forged ahead with one main goal: To make quality music that would both represent and immortalize the days of the sold-out legendary rock venues, to show the world that rock is not just a thing of the past.

Brothers In Arms just released a lyric video for “The City Never Sleeps” and features Jack along with vocalist Steve Overland (FM), drummer Karl Wilcox (Diamond Head), and bassist Alex Jansen (Hardline). Jack had this to say about working with Steve, “Wow City Wow. Being a child of Arena Rock I always lent my ear to bands like Kansas, Styx, Journey, REO, Shadow King, yes Shadow King, and then I saw a video for “That Girl” from this U.K. band FM, and I was blown away by a Steve’s vocal range, melodic feel and his choice for notes on guitar. I always wanted to do a track with all those elements and when Steve agreed to writing the track with me, all my prayers were answered. I love this tune, totally takes me back to a time of when Miami Vice was on TV and when Arenas around the world where packed singing each phrase of the songs. Please do yourself a favor check out Steve’s work he’s a master and a great guy. He just nailed it on this song. What a pro and such a nice guy to work with.”

“Meaty guitar riffage leads the charge on “Last to Know.” Andrew Freeman (Last in Line) handles the vocals here with his signature soulful tone. Guitarist Jack Frost tears it up like days of old during the solo break…While all the vocalists involved are great in the own way, Steve Overland is on another level, and listeners will take notice.” –  Metal Express Radio

Brothers In Arms also features Andrew Freeman (Last In Line, Lynch Mob), Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot), Steve Overland (FM, Overland), Nick Walsh (Moxy, Slik Toxik), Jesse Damon (Silent Rage), Todd Poole (Roxy Blue, Saliva), plus special guests Dave Amato (REO Speedwagon), Charlie Calv (Angel), and Mick Mahan (Pat Benatar). PRP is a prog rock project of the Finnish prog/art rock collective Grus Paridae’s Petteri Kurki and Rami Turtiainen. Their debut album “No Pristine Rubbery Perception” will be released on November 12th 2021. First single “No” in now available on music services.

PRP saw the daylight when Rami and Petteri had couple of songs in their hands which were originally written to Grus Paridae but turned out to be more rock than the musical line GP was heading with it’s more classical influences. Guys anyway decided to release the songs as a double-single without much thinking whether the project will continue or not. This good feedback led Petteri and Rami to pick up couple of older songs to be finalized as well as to make totally new music for PRP. It also turned out that some kind of loose concept album was on it’s way to be released.

PRP was very lucky to be able to co-operate with three talented creative persons during the process and would like to thank photographer Mikko Huotari, graphic designer and illustrator Johanna Luoma-Tuominen and the Finnish National Theatre and it’s producer Jukka Vuokko.

MOTÖRHEAD’s Cover of David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ Surpasses 50 Million YouTube Views

MOTÖRHEAD, the loudest rock ‘n’ roll band known to humankind (and all other species), is once again in the news.

Their cover of the song “Heroes” has surpassed 50 million views on the band’s YouTube channel. We think our beloved Lemmy would agree that this is an impressive feat. The David Bowie song was one of his favorites.

And those 50 million viewers aren’t the only ones to put Lemmy on a pedestal. During an appearance on BBC Radio and transcribed by Ultimate Guitar, Ozzy Osbourne was asked to single out his rock god. “My rock god is Lemmy Kilmister. Lemmy was a guy – he shot from the hip every time.”

More big MOTÖRHEAD news: For release on October 29 – Everything Louder Forever. This collection is the definitive assembly of MOTÖRHEAD songs. It’s the first time all eras of the band’s recorded history have been represented in one place. During their entire 40 year career, the band released twenty two studio albums, amassing chart topping records worldwide, a Grammy award and racking up around 20 million sales. Their hit song “Ace Of Spades” became MOTÖRHEAD’s anthem, perfectly capturing their attitude for millions, and punching giant holes in stereos worldwide to this day. Deluxe 4 LP fold-out edition plus 2 LP and 2 CD formats available.

And speaking of “Ace Of Spades,” keep your ears open for “Ace Of Spades” in the new Addams Family movie.

A.D.2020 Release Animated Video for Single ‘Digital Overload’

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: A.D.2020. Leave a comment

Continuing with the animated versions of themselves first introduced in their August 2021 video for “Why Can’t We Be Friends?,” “Digital Overload” is a full length animated video featuring the musicians of A.D.2020 reacting to the influence of technology in all of our lives. “The song allows us to poke fun at ourselves and also our addictions to technology that we are all guilty of abusing”says Todd Thanhauser.

He continues, “The song was written last year during the pandemic and was inspired by an interaction I had with a phone app and a refrigerator and it got me thinking that maybe there is something else I should be doing besides waiting on text messages from my refrigerator to tell me the milk is spoiled? Maybe we all need to take time to catch our breath and unwind?”

Produced by Dan Reed and AD2020.
Recorded during the fall of 2020 in Prague, Czech Republic and New Jersey, Pennsylvania USA.
Mixing by Ron DiSilvestro of RDS Music and Media
Mastering by Simon Gibson, Abbey Road Studios, London UK

The band released their first single from the album, “Ricochet”, written by Mark McNelley, Dan Reed and Todd Thanhauser on June 29, 2021.

Todd adds, “Ricochet” was the first song we wrote together in June of 2020 and the first time I heard the demo that Dan Reed had sent to us I knew the song was going to be something special.”

In addition, A.D.2020 released a new video on Sunday August 1, 2021, for their cover of the song “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” by the band WAR. The track is also featured on their album Lockdown Diaries.

The video features the members of A.D.2020 playing the track in the studio and their home studios. The track is fresh and fun with each member taking a swing at lead vocals as well.

Recorded on two continents during the pandemic A.D.2020 is a collective studio project featuring in order of appearance in the video.

“We discussed doing a remake of this song early in the conversations that lead to the A.D.2020 project. I think the video is great because it shows us all during the lockdown playing and having fun and there are also some moments of humor and fantasy. It’s also a bit of a mantra we all live by “ Why Can’t We (All Just) Be Friends? “ the world would be a better place if we could all be friends.
Our version of the song is the only song I can think of that has 6 lead vocal parts which also makes it a really unique cover. We hope the guys in WAR like the cover of their great song” says Todd Thanhauser.

THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE return with new single ‘Sabbath’ and announce the release of their new self-titled album, out 28th January 2022 via new label Unique Leader.

TLTSOL now return to the fold in 2022 with a career defining self-titled album. Straddling the Nu Metal, Rock, Death Metal and Downtempo genres in equal measure, TLTSOL have created a magnum opus of a record that will appeal equally to fans of Korn & Slipknot as much as it will to fans of Alice in Chains or Pantera.

The band comment on the album: “The pinnacle of malevolence, crushing riffs, and unbound lyricism that listeners have come to love and identify with us. Unique Leader is the perfect home to release this monster and we are more than excited to work with the brand to deliver this album to the masses.”
