LIGHT THE TORCH have announced a full-length performance airing on album release day — Friday, June 25 at 7pm ET. The set will include several songs from “You Will Be the Death of Me”, which have never been performed live before. It will also include a VIP Zoom hang out with the band beforehand. Tickets for the performance are just $12 and are available here: http://www.shopbenchmark.com/lightthetorch

Today, the band has also dropped the music video for “Let Me Fall Apart.” Watch it here:

“I loved this song as soon as I heard it,” says Jones. “The music stuck in my head, so I knew I had to work on it right from the beginning of writing the new album. [Guitarist] Francesco [Artusato] wrote a huge chorus so I did my best to match that energy. We are thrilled for this to finally see the light of day.”

Artusato also weighs in on the track, saying, “The initial idea for this song was to combine an ‘old school’ type of guitar riff and vibe — because I love to hear Howard sing over that style — with a more ‘contemporary’ type of arrangement and chorus. I remember writing and arranging the chorus, and feeling that it had the potential to become great knowing what Howard could do with it. And of course he delivered once again. This was one of the first songs that we worked on during pre-production and it felt really good right away. It was definitely one of the songs that helped shape the sound for the rest of the record.”

The video was directed by Ramon Boutviseth, who also lensed the video for first single “Wilting in the Light.”Revolver called the song a “powerhouse,” while Loudwire applauded the track for its “spacious guitar playing and textured atmosphere” and noted that “Jones delivers a remarkable hook over the chorus and although the song sounds overtly uplifting, the singer’s lyrics channel a different energy entirely, setting up a wondrous juxtaposition.”

LIGHT THE TORCH also shared the track “More Than Dreaming,” which Metal Injection pointed to as a sign of the album’s sonic diversity.

SABATON Release Full Album Experience Video for “The Art Of War”

It’s been more than thirteen years since SABATON set sail to pursue a way that significantly shaped their career as one of the most successful and popular Swedish heavy metal exports.
On May 30 2008, the band from Falun released their fourth studio album “The Art Of War” – an album made of thirteen tracks, inspired by the thirteen chapters on Sun Tzu’s book “Art Of War”. It was SABATON’s first concept album to that date.

Celebrating the magical 13th anniversary of this milestone, SABATON has just released an extensive video featuring all songs from “The Art Of War”, allowing fans to experience the album in the way it was meant to be.

Watch “The Art Of War – Full Album Experience” here:

The band states:
“We released our album “The Art of War” on May 30, 2008.
Now, you will be able to experience the album just as it was meant to be heard. From start to end. These days most people listen to a few songs only, and miss a lot of good ones.
We now challenge you to break the norm, and take the time to enjoy this album. And perhaps you will learn something new!”

“The Art Of War” is the fourth studio album by SABATON, based on the writings of General Sun Tzu, the celebrated military tactician from ancient China. Just as Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” book has 13 chapters, each dealing with a different aspect of warfare, the album has 13 tracks – each telling of a different historical battle. It was produced at the Abyss Studios by Peter and Tommy Tägtgren and was highly lauded by fans and press. German metal magazine metal.de praised SABATON for “compositionally surpassing themselves”. Some of SABATON’s most popular anthems, such as Ghost Division and 40:1, are found on this album. “The Art of War” was SABATON’s first true concept album and set the creative direction their future works would come to follow.

The countdown to July 18, the 40th-anniversary of thrash/metal legends ANTHRAX, is well underway and heading towards the big finale. A special worldwide Livestream event, presented by Danny Wimmer Presents and originating from Los Angeles, will kick off in North America on Friday, July 16, beginning at 4 PM PT and 7 PM ET, and in the UK on Saturday, July 17, starting at Midnight BST. Livestream event tickets and special 40th-anniversary ticket bundles – one including a live video chat with the members of Anthrax – are on sale now. Special 40th-anniversary artwork was created by Brian Ewing and Stephen Thompson for limited-edition t-shirts, commemorative tickets, and an anniversary poster. In addition to the Livestream and merchandise bundles, fans will be able to buy a digital ticket to relive the past 40 years with exclusive interviews, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes stories of the band’s legendary career. All purchasing details are accessible at http://www.anthraxlive.com

The Global Livestream event, debuting July 16/17 (depending on your global location), will remain available to fans worldwide to tune in through July 25 at 11:59 PM ET via video on demand. The band – Joey Belladonna/vocalist, Scott Ian/rhythm guitar, Frank Bello/bass, Charlie Benante/drums, and Jon Donais/guitar – will perform an extensive set of hits and deep cuts that will pull from the band’s entire catalog.

The countdown to July 18 began on May 3 with the ongoing, 11-week, online video docu-series presented on Anthrax‘s social media accounts. Posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, in the album catalog’s chronological order, each episode focuses on a particular album, with past and present band members, fellow musicians, colleagues, and industry veterans sharing behind-the-scenes stories of their interactions. Those contributing their personal memories include Kerry King, Robert Trujillo, Dave Grohl, Dave Mustaine, Gene Simmons, Henry Rollins, John Carpenter, Norman Reedus, Rob Zombie, Slash, Tom Morello, Mike Patton, Nergal, Darryl McDaniels (Run DMC), Michael Paulson, and Roger Miret.

“I was a 17-year-old metal-head kid from Queens when I started this band,” said Scott Ian.“I am a 57-year-old metal-head kid from Queens about to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this band. That means for 40 years, I’ve gotten to do exactly what I’ve wanted to do – and getting to do what I love and being a part of something so much bigger than myself has made the time, the unbelievable weight of 40 seems so light. It’s been an amazing story so far, and I see 40 as a milestone that absolutely should be recognized and celebrated. Congratulations to us! I also see 40 as a stepping stone to the next chapter of Anthrax – we still have a lot to say and some killer riffs to unleash. I’m not going to say, “Here’s to 40 more” because nobody wants to see that (I’d be 97). How about, “Here’s to at least ten more, and we’ll go from there! Thank you for enabling me, my friends.”
