AN AUTUMN FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN Release New Single ‘Melancholia’

AN AUTUMN FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN have today released Melancholia, the second single to be taken from from their upcoming ninth studio album, As The Morning Dawns We Close Our Eyes – due for release via Prosthetic Records on May 21. The Netherlands based black metal-meets-shoegaze outfit premiered the track yesterday via Roadburn Redux, with an accompanying visual which you can watch here.

Listen to Melancholia on Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

Pre-order As The Morning Dawns We Close Our Eyes here.

Speaking on Melancholia, the band comments: “Melancholia: A persevering feeling running through all of our lives on a daily basis, and we are sure in other peoples lives too. Combined with a longing for times gone by and people we miss, it can all be overwhelming sometimes. But still most of us soldier on. In a way the song is about this, but also that it’s a crucial part of being human and being alive.”

Recorded, mixed and mastered within the confines of the band, AN AUTUMN FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN remains a project shrouded in mystery and the band is yet to perform live. Their reclusive nature doesn’t detract from the alluring nature of their output – if anything the anonymity adds to the mystery and intrigue. Inspired by the originators of black metal and the gothic doom of the 1990s, AAFCC have created something that pays homage to its roots but remains forward thinking. For fans of Deafheaven and Alcest, there’s plenty to uncover with As The Morning Dawns…

Traversing familiar topics such as love, life, death and eternal existential quandaries, AAFCC combine bleakness and hope, love and death – creating an unforgettable, majestic collection of songs. Recorded over a longer period of time than usual, each track got individual attention and was crafted as a stand alone element of the greater whole. They might not give away much about themselves, but they leave their mark on every one of these eight tracks.

As The Morning Dawns We Close Our Eyes track list:
1. Carefully Breathing
2. Of Your Light
3. In Winter
4. Splendour Unnoticed
5. As The Morning Dawns, We Close Our Eyes
6. Hearts Closed
7. Melancholia
8. Last Night I Believed In You

Greece’s beguiling quintet ΛΔΛΜ (ADAM) have streamed their new single/video ‘Super Silver Haze’, and announced the physical release date of their brilliant LP, Sun.

ΛΔΛΜ are an esoteric and captivating group, straddling the worlds of grunge, post-rock, alternative metal, psychedelic and stoner rock. They return with Sun, originally released 21 August 2020 but now seeing a physical re-release 4th June 2021 via famed local label Venerate Industries.

Watch ‘Super Silver Haze’ here:

Pre-order here: https://adamwolfpack.bandcamp.com/album/sun
Digital Downloads/Streaming: https://smarturl.it/ubdjzt

Sun is an ode to our star as a grey line on the horizon, the hope and anticipation for better days that may never even come and the spiritual liberation through a psychedelic journey between the macrocosm and the microcosm.

A concept album, Sun’s theme of fatal hope can be heard throughout, not least on the apocalyptically weighty, monolithic closer, ‘Phase #3: Eclipse’, the conclusion of a mighty 3-song saga detailing a psychedelic trip. The protagonist of the LP begins the saga in another plane of consciousness, overviewing all the problems in his life, before moving to ‘Phase #2’, defeat with hope and finally returning to earth with ‘Phase #3’.

This trilogy is an encapsulation of ΛΔΛΜ’s approach – wide-ranging, ambitious, unearthly and grounded all at once; the culmination of seven years of writing.

Bearing elements as disparate as Dopelord, Deftones, Kyuss, Paradise Lost, A Perfect Circle, and Soundgarden,  ΛΔΛΜ’s new LP was self-produced with Stelios Efendakis (Gardenbox), recorded at the Haus of ΛΔΛΜ, and mixed and mastered at Ritual Studios, Athens. Since Sun’s digital release it has amassed over 300,000 streams worldwide, and will see further success with its physical re-release.

TRACKLISTING:
1: …And then there was Light
2: Super Silver Haze
3: Never Say Never
4: Enter: Oblivion
5: MONOLITH Phase #1: As Above
6: MONOLITH Phase #2: So Below
7: MONOLITH Phase #3: Eclipse

ΛΔΛΜ are:
Panagiotis “Takis” Chaloulakos: Vocals / Guitars
Giannis Fourikis: Guitars / Backing Vocals
Thanos Micropoulos: Keyboards / Slide Guitar / Percussions
Giorgos Eginitis: Bass
Dimitris Eginitis: Drums

ELDER’s Nick DiSalvo shares New Details + First Video From Upcoming DELVING Solo Album “Hirschbrunnen”

For many who lived through it, 2020 will forever be the year that time stopped. Especially for those who thrive in packed, sweaty environment – musicians, concertgoers, even humble record label operators – this led to some pretty fundamental changes in the way we spent our time. Like Nick DiSalvo did, best known as the frontman of Elder and one half of Gold & Silver: long in the making but finally taking off in this dreaded year where creativity was relegated exclusively to one’s own domain, DiSalvo has announced the release of his upcoming DELVING solo debut, entitled Hirschbrunnen, which will be out on June 11, 2021 through Stickman Records.

Hirschbrunnen is a collection of songs that display a wide range of influences from psychedelic rock, early electronic music, 70’s prog as well as jazz and even ambient sounds – yet all with a distinct songwriting style that DiSalvo has come to be known for. His upcoming delving album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Richard Behrens and Emanuele Baratto at Big Snuff Studio.

“I’m an almost obsessive songwriter, working on music every day and amassing a huge collection of song fragments and ideas that often don’t get the attention I’d like because of the time I spend with my main band.” DiSalvo recently explained.“‘Thanks’ to this pandemic, I’ve had plenty of time to pick up some of the songs I’ve written over the past years and finally make an album that I’ve been telling myself forever I’d do.

From my earliest moments as a musician, I have been obsessed with home recordings, begging my parents for a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder for Christmas when I was 12 and making my own albums. delving is a continuation of this creative spirit: experimenting all on my own, forgetting bands, fans and expectations and making whatever music I want to.”

Today, the multi- instrumentalist has shared a first single and trippy music clip for “The Reflecting Pool”. Dive into the cosmic soundsphere of Delving and watch the new video right here:

“Hirschbrunnen – “stag fountain” – is the colloquial name of a large fountain that presides over a large green area near where I live.“ DiSalvo continues.“For me, it’s been strange to see my world, which normally consists of a fair amount of travel and external stimuli, reduced to one city, one district, one block for so long. Frustrating as that is, you might start to find inspiration and surprising beauty in your everyday surroundings that you otherwise would have ignored. Just as all the music I make is influenced by my experiences, Hirschbrunnen is a product of this unique and strange time in which we all have been forced to delve more deeply into our own thoughts.”

Hirschbrunnen Tracklist:

1. Ultramarine
2. Delving
3. The Reflecting Pool
4. Wait And See
5. Hirschbrunnen
6. Vast

delving‘s Hirschbrunnen will be out on June 11, 2021 and available as a 2LP, CD and in Digital formats through Stickman Records. The album pre-sale has just started at THIS LOCATION!

Purchase and stream Mount Carcass in its entirety at: metalblade.com/endseeker

To celebrate Mount Carcass‘ release, Endseeker will host a record release livestream show on Sunday, April 18th at 10AM PST//1PM EST//7PM CET. Streamed live from Knust, Hamburg, reserve your ticket now at: eu.kingsroadmerch.com/endseeker
*Tickets are available only as bundles with purchase of CD or vinyl (shirt optional) via Kings Road.

Endseeker comments: “We took all the frustration and despair over the cancelled shows and the whole misery Covid has brought upon us all and forged it into a bunch of straight forward, powerful songs that accompanied us through 2020 and will now be shared with the rest of the world. ‘Mount Carcass‘ is definitely our most focused – in a way, even the angriest – record so far, and ‘Unholy Rites’, with its uplifting zombie-vibe, is the perfect opener for this new chapter in the history of Endseeker. We’d of course love to start this new chapter with YOU, our fans. Sadly, there won’t be a sweaty sold-out release show like last time, however, we’re back at the Knust in Hamburg on April 18th for a special livestream event (more details to be revealed soon). Come and celebrate with us online until we see each other in the pit again!”

Having become one of the premier German death metal bands – and rapidly rising the ranks of the genre as a whole – Endseeker storm back into the fray with Mount Carcass. Building on the groundwork laid down on 2017’s Flesh Hammer Prophecy and having the difficult task of besting 2019’s stunning The Harvest, they have returned with a streamlined, powerful collection that further raises the bar.

Like both of its predecessors, Mount Carcass was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Eike Freese at Chameleon Studios in Hamburg, Germany. Going into the record, Endseeker knew they wanted something rawer and more organic than The Harvest, and while Covid was causing global havoc, the band embraced the time they would have otherwise spent touring, using it to rehearse and discuss what they wanted the record to be. From this process they knew they wanted the songs to be quite straightforward and even have something of a “punkish / crust feel, so to speak. The songs are pretty reduced to the core with all the ballast removed. Every part and every riff has a meaning and isn’t just there for no other reason than extending the song. The album is also very melodic. There are a bunch of very strong guitar hooks and vocal compositions that really stick in your ears for days. It’s way simpler and probably more easy to listen to compared to ‘The Harvest‘ or ‘Flesh Hammer Prophecy‘, but at the same time, it has a very spontaneous and lively attitude with a big chunk of personality.” To keep the genre sounding fresh in 2021, they focused on the production, having just a touch of the old school vibe to remain rooted, and they did not limit themselves too hard to the Swedish death metal style of songwriting they previously embraced, but also let other influences into their songs. “You can hear all kinds of stuff that is inspired by bands like Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, Slayer, Dissection, Gorefest, etc. We listen to so many different bands, and somehow, a bit from all of this keeps adding to our music.”

Mount Carcass track-listing
1. Unholy Rites
2. Merciless Tide
3. Bloodline
4. Mount Carcass
5. Count the Dead
6. Cult
7. Moribund
8. Frantic Redemption
9. Escape from New York (John Carpenter cover)

TRUCKER DIABLO Release New Single + Video ‘Slow Dance’, New Album ‘Tail End Of A Hurricane’ Out May 7th

TRUCKER DIABLO have released their new single ‘Slow Dance’ from forthcoming album “Tail End of a Hurricane”. A song about undeniable attraction and the magnetic force of love and lust! The sun’s out, turn it up, share with friends and groups, buy the album… Drink Many Beers, Destroy.

Check out the video here:

“Tail End of a Hurricane” album takes a few diversions on the main road that the Big Truck normally drives on, the almost punk attitude and feel to ‘Insects’ with its social commentary on how we’re all just worker insects feeding everything to the corporate machine for them to steal our being. Closing track ‘Bury The Ocean’ was the last song written for the album, and its crushing guitar and build to an epic ending is a sitting reminder that while times are tough now, we will get out the other side of this situation!

Preorder the album here:
https://music.apple.com/gb/album/tail-end-of-a-hurricane/1560546367
http://bigtruckkeepsonrolling.com/shop/
https://truckerdiablo.bandcamp.com/

The one thing you do expect from Trucker is big riffs, big choruses and big performances, and this album doesn’t disappoint, from the sing along Rock Kids of the 80s, the energy of Insects, the short sharp punch of ‘Slow Dance’ or the laid back tale, ‘Woodstock to Vietnam‘, where 2 friends In the hippy movement of the 60s choose different pathways for their life, you’ll know you’ve opened your front door to see the Big Truck parked up outside, engine running, exhaust fumes pumping out the pipe, door laying open invitingly.

GO AHEAD AND DIE Release New Animated Music Video For “Toxic Freedom”

Arizona’s GO AHEAD AND DIE will release their self-titled debut album on June 11th via Nuclear Blast Records. GO AHEAD AND DIE is a raw, urgent, unrelenting, thrillingly shocking, and vibrant new band. Today the band releases the animated music video for the second single, “Toxic Freedom”.

Watch the video created by Costin Chioreanu here:

Max Cavalera comments, “‘Toxic Freedom’ is about police corruption, police brutality, and police racism. It can be seen and felt all around the world. It is about authority killing minorities.”

Igor Amadeus states, “Our leaders abuse their power while thousands are imprisoned and more are murdered every day. ‘Toxic Freedom’ is a protest for those that have suffered at the hands of wrongful police brutality.”

Born from the mind of creative writer and musician Igor Amadeus Cavalera of HEALING MAGIC and extreme metal icon, and SOULFLY leader Max Cavalera. GO AHEAD AND DIE’s tempos are wild, with a contempt for modern social ills palpable, its riffs monstrous and captivating. They make angry, spiteful, utterly engaging, spirited extreme music for increasingly extreme times.

The self-titled debut sees Max and Igor splitting guitar and vocal duties, with utter madman style drumming from Zach Coleman of the blistering BLACK CURSE and critically-acclaimed KHEMMIS. It sounds like a relic from the glory days of thrash, proto-death metal, and filthy rotten punk, the kind of band that would inspire a teenaged thrasher in 1987 to carve the G.A.A.D. logo into a school desk.

Pre-order your copy of GO AHEAD AND DIE’s self-titled album, here: http://www.nuclearblast.com/goaheadanddie
