Lithuanian BLACK SPIKES Sign with Napalm Records, to Release “Ydos” Album on August 28th

Combing through the shadows, Napalm Records found another gem in BLACK SPIKES—the Lithuanian modern progressive band has signed their first record deal with the Austrian metal flagbearers. The quintet brings the darkness right along with them on its new album, Ydos, scheduled for August 28, 2026. The release comes shortly after BLACK SPIKES’ double nomination at their home country’s Grammy-comparable M.A.M.A. Music Awards and their tour with juggernauts Infected Rain. Ydos deals with the eponymous flaws of humanity, each explored in their own song, conceptually interwoven with sophisticated metal with a twist, serving as a complex mirror for us all.

BLACK SPIKES about the signing:
“The funny thing is that while celebrating the release of our single ‘Imperatore’, we were actually discussing and even researching what it takes for a band to be signed by Napalm Records. Coming from a small country with a tiny metal scene and performing in our native language, we concluded we didn’t stand a chance and decided not to bother reaching out. A week later we were contacted by Napalm Records ourselves—and at first, we honestly thought it was a scam. But here we are, incredibly excited and looking forward to where this beautiful cooperation will take us.”

Napalm Records Junior A&R Christian Hollik about the signing:
“When I first heard BLACK SPIKES, I was overwhelmed by their sound. For me, it’s a unique songwriting style that combines progressive influences with electronic beats. Agni’s vocals, delivered in their native language, make it something truly special. The upcoming album marks a new era of uniqueness. This band has a great future ahead, and we are excited to embark on this journey together.”

Along with the album announcement comes the first single: “AUREA” shows BLACK SPIKES’ cinematic approach in its depiction of pride. The song unleashes a relentless storm of rapacious riffs and galloping drums, its grimness frequently broken up by halcyon parts whose cleverly placed tranquility conveys comfort in seemingly hopeless hazes. If you want to see BLACK SPIKES and their new song live, now is your chance: The band is currently on tour with INFECTED RAIN—see below for all the dates.

BLACK SPIKES about “AUREA”:
“AUREA is the name we chose for the vice of pride. It grows within us when we are young and beautiful but becomes painful when time passes and that beauty fades. The song is released together with a music video filmed in the stunning Lithuanian Museum of Ethnocosmology.”

The depth of its concept is reflected in every note of Ydos, from every heavy riff to every proggy twist. Leaning into electronic music while holding on firmly to their metal roots, the Lithuanian band creates a distinctive sound, alluringly dark and captivatingly heavy. BLACK SPIKES venture into gloominess, filling the void with spine-tingling philosophical thoughts and posing as Janus-faced companions on a fateful journey into the self in which every step should be taken with caution because a trap just might snap …

BLACK SPIKES about Ydos:
“Ydos is a conceptual album—a dark fairytale about human vices. The idea was there from the very beginning and guided the entire songwriting process. Each vice has its own name and story, and many songs will be brought to life through music videos where these vices take shape. It was our first time creating a conceptual album, and we really enjoyed starting with an idea and expressing it through music.”

Get Your Copy Of Ydos NOW

Initiating the story of Ydos is the eerie “PASAKA” (engl. fairy tale), an intro setting the mood with menacing ticking sounds growing into orchestrals and singer Agni’s high vocals layered with screams. A calming lullaby exploding into growls, thunderous blast beats, and elaborate guitar riffs, “MOTINA” (engl. mother) describes the birth of humankind’s vices and therefore serves as an exposition for the storytelling aspect. Throughout the ten songs of their second album, BLACK SPIKES explore the relationships with flaws we all carry within, devoting a song to each of them. “MELAS” (engl. lie) introduces trap beats and rap to the mix, all with an approach clearly rooted in modern metal with sophisticated progressive elements. “MARA”, investigating excessive curiosity, beautifully contrasts calmness and calamity, with the quintet allowing their different elements to breathe while still entwisting them persuasively. Following, “ZELVAR”, which features the album’s only English lyrics, and “REVANA” add endearing, highly recognizable riffs to Ydos, further opening the gates to the hauntingly beautiful realms BLACK SPIKES are unfolding as they delve into greed and revenge, respectively, the concepts personified in the form of demons. The raw rage evolves into carefully structured “APATIJA” (engl. apathy), whose futuristic intermezzi make for especially interesting headbanging rhythms throughout which Agni’s voice acts as a gentle guide. “AUREA” continues BLACK SPIKES’ cinematic approach in its depiction of pride, unleashing a storm of rapacious riffs and galloping drums, frequently broken up by halcyon parts, their cleverly placed tranquility conveying comfort in seemingly hopeless hazes. With pressing “SENAS DEMONAS” (engl. old demon), BLACK SPIKES free yet another hellish entity, before “DULKĖS” (engl. dust) picks up on the melodized cinematography, wrapping up this bleak exploration of what it means to be human.

SEVEN METAL SINS Unveil First Single ‘Wolves Of The Last Dawn’ from Upcoming Album “Legacy Of Chaos”

Seven Metal Sins unveil “Wolves Of The Last Dawn”, the first single taken from their forthcoming full-length album “Legacy Of Chaos“, set for release on June 5th, 2026, via Rockshots Records.

Listen (Spotify): https://lnk.to/ybAMOx

Formed in 2024 by former Manigance members Stéphane Lacoude (bass) and Patrick Soria (drums), Seven Metal Sins quickly evolved into a fully realized band with the addition of guitarist Antton Iriart, vocalist Claw-G., and guitarist Frédéric Auclerc. Built on experience but driven by a renewed artistic vision, the band channels a direct and uncompromising approach to heavy metal.

“Wolves Of The Last Dawn” stands as a clear introduction to the band’s identity: a high-energy track rooted in classic heavy and power metal, defined by sharp riffing, galloping rhythms, and a commanding vocal performance. The song combines intensity and melodic clarity, delivering an immediate impact while maintaining a strong structural focus.

Lyrically, the track reflects the thematic core of “Legacy Of Chaos“, exploring a world shaped by tension, collapse, and resistance. Through dystopian imagery, the band addresses contemporary issues such as environmental decline, social instability, and the consequences of unchecked power, translating these elements into a direct and evocative narrative.

As the band explains, “This song captures the urgency and tension that run through the entire album. It’s about standing at the edge of collapse and choosing whether to resist or surrender. The imagery of the ‘last dawn’ represents that fragile moment before everything changes.”

Musically, Seven Metal Sins draws from the foundations of classic heavy metal while incorporating the speed and precision of modern power metal. Their sound is built on tight, riff-driven songwriting, dynamic rhythmic shifts, and a balance between aggression and melody, positioning the band within a contemporary yet tradition-aware metal framework.

The single anticipates the release of “Legacy Of Chaos“, an eleven-track debut that delivers a cohesive and high-impact listening experience, combining intensity, structure, and thematic depth. Mixed by Jérémie Garat (Reseda Prod) and mastered by Simon Capony (Basalte Studio), the album presents a powerful and well-defined production that enhances the band’s sonic identity.

With “Wolves Of The Last Dawn”, Seven Metal Sins set the tone for a debut album that does not look back with nostalgia but rather reaffirms the relevance of heavy metal through clarity, energy, and purpose.

VOMITORY Present New Video/Single ‘Wrath Unbound’ from Upcoming Full-Length Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 26, 2026

“Wrath Unbound” is the latest single from Swedish death metal institution VOMITORY. The brutal new track comes by way of the band’s In Death Throes full-length, set for release on April 10th via Metal Blade Records.

Comments drummer Tobias Gustafsson, “‘Wrath Unbound’ is inspired by dark powers and built for headbanging! This is probably the heaviest song on the album. The catchy melody combined with lots of double bass drums will roll over you like a tank. Musically it’s influenced by British giants like Iron Maiden, Bolt Thrower, and Carcass. Lyrically, I don’t really know where [vocalist/bassist] Erik [Rundqvist] found the inspiration. Probably somewhere far, far away…“

Watch VOMITORY‘s previously released video for first single, “For Gore And Country,” HERE.

In any serious conversation about death metal, VOMITORY‘s name is a must-mention. Formed in 1989, the Swedish band unleashed eight blistering albums between 1996 and 2011, cementing their status as genre titans before parting ways in 2013. However, their retirement was short-lived, as they returned to the stage in 2019 to mark their 30th anniversary. Now, three years after the release of their critically acclaimed 2023 comeback album All Heads Are Gonna Roll, VOMITORY are back with their latest beast, In Death Throes.

The band didn’t miss a beat in getting back to writing. According to drummer Tobias Gustafsson, while the unmistakable VOMITORY sound remains, the new album cranks up the intensity. “In Death Throes picks up where All Heads Are Gonna Roll left off, but we’ve turned the intensity up a notch. [New guitarist] Christian [Fredriksson] quickly found his place and even contributed music to four killer tracks. These additions bring a bit of diversity to our sound without straying too far from the formula.”

Of the band’s first single, Metal Injection gushed, “If the previous record marked a triumphant resurrection, In Death Throes is the sound of a band tightening the screws. The track is pure forward momentum, weaponizing grind, D-beat chaos, and groove-laden breakdowns into a single, unrelenting charge.” MetalSucks agreed, “‘For Gore And Country’ is every bit as brutal and stomach-turning as you’d expect from a band that’s been doing this for three decades.”

The recording on In Death Throes took place across multiple studios in late 2025. Drums and vocals were recorded at Leon Music Studios in Karlstad, Sweden, with producer Rikard Löfgren, who previously worked on Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize, Carnage Euphoria, and Opus Mortis VIII, handling the engineering. Guitars and bass were tracked at Goff Studios in Karlstad, with Christian Fredriksson taking the reins as the engineer. For mixing and mastering, the band once again turned to Lawrence Mackrory (Paradise Lost, Bloodbath, Lik) at Rorysound Studios in Uppsala, Sweden, who delivered a crushingly heavy sound that still manages to breathe.

As with All Heads Are Gonna Roll, the album artwork was handled by Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design (Evergrey, Suffocation, The Crown), while Seiya Ogino of Ogino Design handled the layout. The result is an album that’s as ferocious as it is visually stunning.

ALESSANDRO DE FUSCO Releases New Video Single ‘Dreamtape’ Blending Hard Rock And Synthwave Atmospheres

Italian guitarist Alessandro De Fusco returns with a captivating new musical chapter. On March 20, 2026, his new single “Dreamtape” was released—an instrumental track that blends rock energy, nostalgia, and sonic imagination into an intense and evocative musical journey.

“Dreamtape” is much more than a simple guitar composition: it is a story told through strings. The track unfolds as an emotional path where melody takes center stage, guiding the listener through soundscapes that alternate between powerful rock moments and more atmospheric suggestions, influenced by retro-flavored synthwave.

The balance between clear, engaging melodic lines and more technical, virtuosic passages makes the piece dynamic and cinematic. De Fusco’s guitar moves naturally between melodic sensitivity and expressive freedom, once again showcasing his ability to transform the instrument into a true narrative voice.

The title “Dreamtape” comes from a simple yet meaningful memory. In the video accompanying the single, a familiar scene appears: an old cassette tape being rewound with a pen, just like in the days of cassette players. A nearly forgotten gesture that becomes a symbol of memory and nostalgia. Moments later, the tape is inserted into the player… and the music comes to life.

From that moment, the journey begins—a path through sounds, dreams, and memories, where past and present meet in a sonic atmosphere suspended between rock and imagination.

With “Dreamtape,” Alessandro De Fusco confirms his personal artistic approach, combining technique, melodic sensitivity, and a strong visual component to create an experience that goes beyond simple listening.

The single was released on March 20, 2026 and is available on all major digital platforms.

12 STONES Release New Single + Video ‘World So Cold’, Feat. Lyric Noel

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 25, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: 12 STONES. Leave a comment

Hard rock band 12 Stones have officially released their latest single “World So Cold,” featuring Lyric Noel, via Judge & Jury Records in partnership with SV Records. The track, produced by Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance, Skillet, Flyleaf), marks the band’s second release with the label.

Accompanying the release is an official music video, directed by Michael Levine of Levine Pictures, that vividly brings the song’s message to life. The visual narrative explores two contrasting sides of the main character. One side is consumed by anger and the other is weighed down by sadness and emotion.

Featuring Lyric Noel, “World So Cold” is a reignited version of the popular 12 Stones classic. Feeling that we had all lost our sense of humanity, Paul McCoy originally wrote the song in 2006 about the inconceivable tragedies of this world and, as he reflects now, the need for a song like this never truly went away. Almost 20 years later, this song is more relevant than ever.

The song is filled with candid lyrics, such as “What kind of world do we live in? // where love is divided by hate?” Heart-wrenching verses build up to explosive choruses, leaving behind a message that is certain to be remembered.

“’World So Cold’ is a song I wrote about my view of the world. I wrote this song almost 20 years ago about how messed up the world seemed to me. I can honestly say that I don’t feel like it’s gotten any better over the last 20 years. I remember sitting in the lounge of the music studio messing around with an acoustic guitar while the TV was on in the background. I saw a news story about another person on a shooting rampage, and in that moment, I just started singing the melody that became ‘World So Cold’. I realized that all humans can become a byproduct of their environments.  The song is about believing in hope in hopeless times,” says McCoy.

Lyric Noel adds, “I was incredibly honored that out of all the singers out there, they chose me to be part of the re-release of ‘World So Cold.’ It’s such a powerful song that already carries so much emotion and history, so getting the chance to lend my voice to it meant a lot to me. Filming the music video was an amazing experience, and the visuals really bring the story and atmosphere of the song to life in a beautiful way. Being part of this new chapter of ‘World So Cold’ alongside 12 Stones is something I’m truly grateful for.”

Founded by multi-platinum producer Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson (drummer and songwriter of Three Days Grace), Judge & Jury brings decades of success in the rock world, offering extensive promotional, production, and songwriting resources.

In addition, the band has announced tour dates this spring! Dates are listed below.

Paul McCoy is best known for his featured vocals on “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescence. He won a Grammy for his performance, and the song has been streamed over one billion times.

12 Stones formed in 2000 in the small town of Mandeville, LA. The original lineup consisted of Paul McCoy (vocals), Eric Weaver (guitar), Aaron Gainer (drums), and Kevin Dorr (bass). The band has released 5 full-length albums and 2 EPs and is currently set to release new music in 2026. 12 Stones takes pride in their live shows, bringing every ounce of their energy to their performances. They have spent the last 2 decades touring with legendary bands such as Creed, 3 Doors Down, Sevendust, and many more. After 25 years of being a band, 12 Stones still has the same fire for music as they did in the beginning. Make sure to catch them on the road and stay tuned for brand-new music.

INFERI Unleash Performance Video for Pummeling New Single ‘Godless Sky’

Extreme death metal masters INFERI are once again pummeling the masses with another brutalizing new track, “Godless Sky!” The face-melting new single can be found along with a ferocious performance video, which can be found at THIS LOCATION.

INFERI vocalist Stevie Boiser comments, “‘Godless Sky’ captures the descent into prophetic mania. A mind fractured by the crescendo of our seemingly inevitable race towards self annihilation. ‘In the absence of our deity we’ve penned a new end to the human odyssey.’ Its the torment of baring witness, and the dreadful revelation that you are hopeless to stop it.”

“Godless Sky” is taken from INFERI’s upcoming new full-length, ‘Heaven Wept,’ which is due on April 10, 2026 via The Artisan Era! The clip features a montage of the band’s live performances and candid behind-the-scenes footage, which were taken at various shows during INFERI‘s last few tours. ‘Heaven Wept’ can be pre-order and pre-saved HERE.

In addition, INFERI will be joining DEFEATED SANITY as direct support during the band’s upcoming North American spring tour. The run will feature additional support from New Zealand’s Organectomy on all dates while Excresence, Scasm, and Horrific Vision will appear on select stops. The full itinerary can be found below while tickets are available HERE.

INFERI will also be performing at producer Dave Otero’s inaugural Flatline Festival, which takes place June 13 – 14 at the Oriental Theater in Denver, CO. More info and passes can be found HERE.

Since the explosive success of Inferi’s critically-acclaimed and chart topping 2018 full-length, ‘Revenant,’ the death metal battalion has continued to relentlessly churn like a raging maelstrom, dominating everything in its wake with the band’s melodic and virtuosic approach to the genre. ‘Heaven Wept’ picks up where 2021’s ‘Vile Genesis’ left off, putting forth the same mind-bending compositions and other-worldly musicianship that has set the band apart from their contemporaries. Inferi has risen to become a dominant force among modern American death metal acts since their reunion in 2011. ‘Heaven Wept’ is a master class in progressive extremity and is certain to make its mark as one of the greatest death metal offerings of this decade.

The album artwork was created by Helge C. Balzer.

Formed in 2006, INFERI is an American technical melodic death metal band forged from the depths of Nashville, Tennessee. After reforming in 2011, INFERI emerged onto the global stage with ‘The Path of Apotheosis’ in 2014. Followed by the acclaimed 2018 release ‘Revenant,’ which landed at #26 Hard Rock albums and #28 on the Billboard’s Heatseekers charts, solidifying them as a household name in the underground technical death metal scene. Touring across the world with bands such Rivers of Nihil, Archspire, Shadow of Intent, Cryptopsy, Signs of the Swarm, Brand of Sacrifice, Deicide and Revocation allowed INFERI to continue on their upward trajectory. Creeping their way up the charts, and into the minds of new fans with ‘The End of an Era: Rebirth’ in 2019, their ‘Of Sunless Realms’ EP in 2020, and 2021’s ‘Vile Genesis.’ Now in 2026 INFERI stands ready to unleash their most devastating album to date, ‘Heaven Wept’.
