Finnish rock outfit HOKKA has joined forces with some of the scene’s most prominent faces for their latest anthem, ‘Vampire.’ Marking a powerful meeting of two generations of Finnish rock talent, the track features Samy Elbanna (Lost Society) delivering insane guitar solos and riffs that completely carry the song and vocals, alongside thunderous rhythms from legendary The 69 Eyes drummer, Jussi 69.

‘Vampire’ delivers an adrenaline-fueled, modern, and punishingly catchy sound. The high-octane single is accompanied by a spectacular music video that visually captures the track’s explosive energy.

New York’s legendary psychedelic explorers White Hills reveal the full details of their highly anticipated vinyl release, Collected Consciousness, arriving worldwide on October 30, 2026.

A unique journey through the band’s own sonic history, Collected Consciousness takes rare and long out of print material originally issued on tour only CDr releases and transforms it into a completely new listening experience. Rather than simply revisiting archival recordings, White Hills have reassembled alternative mixes into two expansive sonic phases, creating an immersive work designed to be experienced as a whole.

Inspired in part by the visionary studio experiments of legendary German producer Dieter Dierks and his Cosmic Jokers project, Collected Consciousness embraces the spirit of psychedelic improvisation, studio manipulation and radical sonic collage. Japanese composer Happy Sad unveils the official music video for “A Waltz for Fleeting Beauty of Nature,” a vibrant orchestral piece taken from the album The World Is Grand When We See, released via Epictronic.

The composition celebrates the energy and beauty of the natural world through dynamic classical writing, where movement and lightness drive the emotional core. Orchestral lines unfold with momentum and clarity, evoking landscapes in constant motion and the living rhythm of nature itself.

At the same time, the piece carries a quiet awareness beneath its energy: nothing stays fixed. Everything shifts, transforms, and dissolves into the next moment. Meaning is not found in permanence, but in transition itself.

About the Artist: The Architect of Sound

Happy Sad is the solo project of Hiroaki, a Japanese artist and sound professional based in the game industry. He began making music during his student years, playing café bar gigs and recording demos. His influences take in soul, British rock, folk, trip hop, neoclassical, world music, and film scores, alongside a strong connection to literature. His recordings balance live instrumentation with programmed elements. To date, Happy Sad has released seven albums and 19 EPs.

Outside of music, Hiroaki has around 14 years of experience as a Sound Designer and Sound Director in the games industry, having contributed to over 60 projects at companies including NetEase Games, FunPlus, NHN PlayArt, and Noisycroak Inc. His work spans music composition, sound design, audio direction, and promotional video production. In 2013, his track “Everyday” won the domestic DJ category and reached the finals of MTV and Lenovo’s CO:LAB contest.

In recent years, Hiroaki has travelled across ten countries in search of sounds and traditional instruments. Encounters along the way with displaced communities have shaped his approach to music as a form of shared human expression.

OF SPITE Release First Single & Video ‘Serpent Coil’ from Upcoming EP “Raisu”

Finnish metal band Of Spite returns with new material after three years since their previous album (Riddle Redemption, 2023). New Raisu EP will be out next month and now the band presents a first bite “Serpent Coil” as a single from the upcoming EP.

Of Spite tells about the song:

“This song begins where the body usually ends… perhaps at the wrong spot. Flesh serves as a map, but no one knows how to read it, and pain serves as a compass that spins haphazardly. A thousand flames don’t burn; they whisper a name that mustn’t be spoken aloud, except when everyone already knows it.

The poisonous flame promises eternal life, but in practice it offers little more than constant discomfort and existential confusion. Wounds, scars, and random holes form a whole that one might call art, if one had to.

At times, the song pauses for a moment to breathe—or to bleed—and whispers something about open wounds that are perhaps deeper than they should be.

At the end, the body politely empties itself, time stumbles over its own shadow, and the final thought is removed for technical reasons.

A DIY-style music video has also been made for the song. The video was filmed in an empty swimming pool, and taking a sauna with chickens has nothing to do with it.”

Of Spite is a metal band from Kotka, Finland known for its heavy sound and a way of polishing its work that’s almost as heavy as a deranged prison inmate smearing his own feces on the wall of his isolation cell.


The band is a five-piece group of experienced musicians with a strong background in both live performances and studio work. Their musical influences range from old-school melodic death metal to progressive rock, all the way to Kake Randelin.

Of Spite’s music blends death metal with stuttering progressive rock. This unique combination creates, through its paternal love, a perverse hybrid that doesn’t leave the listener alone with their conflicting emotions.

Polish Black-Death Veterans MASSTERON Premiere New Single ‘Achronon’

Polish black-death metal veterans MASSTERON have teamed up with Decibel Magazine for the premiere of “Achronon”, the new single taken from their forthcoming debut full-length album, “Second in the Spheres”, due out on September 24th, 2026 via ATMF.

With its title suggesting a reality beyond the constraints of linear time, “Achronon” offers another glimpse into the hostile and uncompromising world shaped by MASSTERON. The track moves with a sharp, muscular intensity, its riffing constantly pushing forward while sudden shifts in pace and atmosphere prevent the song from settling into a predictable pattern. The production retains the physical immediacy of the band’s live-in-the-studio approach, allowing the guitars and rhythm section to hit with an organic, almost confrontational force.

Formed by musicians with years of experience within the Polish underground scene, MASSTERON channel the savage spirit of late-’90s Polish black-death metal while avoiding the temptation of simple nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from the primal intensity of early Azarath, Inquisition and the raw force of Aura Noir, the band looks back to the genre’s foundations with the perspective and awareness of seasoned musicians.

“Second in the Spheres” is not an exercise in recreating the past, but a refined expression of everything that made extreme metal dangerous in the first place. The album consists of six tracks recorded live in the studio, capturing the immediacy and physical impact of the band’s performance without relying on artificial enhancements, excessive editing or programmed perfection.

However, rawness does not mean carelessness. MASSTERON avoid the common trap of mistaking a deliberately rough sound for authenticity. Beneath the hostile atmosphere and old-school spirit lies a meticulous approach to songwriting, where every riff, transition and dynamic shift serves a precise purpose. The result is a record that feels ancient in its attitude but razor-sharp in execution.

Spanning 37 minutes of relentless black metal fury, “Second in the Spheres” delivers a balance between aggression and control, chaos and structure. The album carries the spirit of a bygone era while proving that experience can transform traditional formulas into something immediate, powerful and lethal.
