SARCATOR Release Music Video for New Single ‘Ain’t Fit to Live’

Swedish metal force SARCATOR has released an official music video for their new single “Ain’t Fit to Live,” a further taste of their upcoming fourth studio album, The Ones We Follow, due out October 30, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

With The Ones We Follow, SARCATOR push beyond the boundaries of their extreme metal roots and venture into darker, hook-driven territory. Gothic Western atmospheres collide with raw rock ’n’ roll energy, while the band’s signature death and blackened vocals remain firmly intact. 

Their new single “Ain’t Fit to Live” finds SARCATOR exploring yet another facet of their sound, while retaining the weight and intensity that have defined the band from the start. Guitarist/vocalist Mateo Tervonen reveals some of the perhaps unexpected influences behind the track:

“Ain’t Fit to Live serves as the heavy one on the album. It’s a slow, stomping homage to Bob Rock-era Mötley Crüe and Metallica during the mid-’90s period, which is mainly present in the groove of the song. There’s also a strong Americana influence, which you can hear in the slide guitar that is present throughout. It has some proper storytelling going on as well, telling the last thoughts of an outlaw and his acceptance of fate just before he’s brought to the gallows.”

GWAR Premiere HD Version of ‘School’s Out’ Music Video

With GWAR’s 20th anniversary celebration of their 2006 opus ‘Beyond Hell’ arriving this Friday, September 25th, the band are premiering the HD version of their “School’s Out” music video, a cover of the Alice Cooper classic. The newly remastered deluxe edition, available for the first time ever on vinyl via the band’s own Pit Records, is now completely sold out through the GWAR store.

Remastered by Paul Logus (Anthrax, Killswitch Engage), the anniversary edition breathes new life into one of the band’s most ambitious and theatrical releases. Alongside the remastered album, the release also includes a previously unreleased outro track recorded during the original ‘Beyond Hell’ sessions that was left off the original release.

Originally released in 2006, ‘Beyond Hell’ marked a defining moment in GWAR‘s legendary career. Produced by Devin Townsend, the album brought together two of metal’s most unique creative forces, with Townsend helping shape one of the band’s most ambitious and beloved releases.

“I had been a GWAR fan since I was a kid. I loved the freedom, the metal, the spectacle, and the passion that went into it all,” recalls Townsend. “I met Brockie on a tour we did together and, after cornering him in an elevator basically telling him I’d work for free, I found myself co-producing ‘Beyond Hell.’ Dave and Corey came to Vancouver to stay with me, and we recorded at Profile Studios. The drums and basic tracks were done at Slave Pit in Richmond, Virginia, and the whole process took about three months.”

He continues, “GWAR were, and are, an amazing combination of artistic freedom, absurdity, and hard work bundled up with metal and performance. Loved them then, love them now.”

Chronicling the band’s descent into Hell to rescue their long-lost comrade Flattus Maximus, ‘Beyond Hell’ remains one of GWAR‘s defining releases, featuring fan favorites including “Back in Crack,” “Womb With a View,” “Tormentor,” and “The Ultimate Bohab.”

Twenty years later, ‘Beyond Hell’ is ready to rise once again, louder, heavier, and more gloriously blasphemous than ever before.

The standard Gold vinyl edition will be limited to 2,000 copies (SOLD OUT). Fans looking for something even more exclusive can pick up the “Blood Moon” vinyl variant, limited to just 300 copies, exclusively at GWAR.net (SOLD OUT), while Metal Injection (SOLD OUT) will offer an exclusive “Blood Smear” vinyl variant, limited to only 200 copies. The album is available this Friday, only at select retailers.

German power metal force Iron Savior have unleashed a new single, “Light In The Dark”, along with an official visualizer, ahead of the release of their upcoming album “Deathbringer”, out on November 13,2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Vocalist Piet Sielck stated: “The third single “Light In The Dark” is part of the epic Iron Savior story line, which started 30 years ago when I wrote the lyrics for the self-titled debut album. It’s a story about hope and desperation, bravery and determination, life and death, darkness and light… Just like sometimes in real life. With the chorus section as the heart of the song, this speed attack will make you see the light in the dark before your imaginary eyes…”

Hamburg-based Iron Savior have long established themselves as one of Europe’s most consistent and productive power metal bands. With their monumental new studio album “Deathbringer”, the band around Piet Sielck has more than one reason to celebrate: following the third instalment of the “Reforged” series, for which Iron Savior completely re-recorded the songs from their Noise Records era, as well as a covers album, the band now presents a brand-new studio album.

With “Deathbringer”, Iron Savior also return to the concept album format. BLIND LOTUS Release New Single ‘Golden Cage’ about the Dark Side of Prosperity in Contemporary Society

BLIND LOTUS return with “Golden Cage”, their new single released via Volcano Records and the first step toward the band’s upcoming album, due by the end of the year. The single is available on all platforms starting September 25th!

A cage can be made of gold and still remain a cage. That contradiction lies at the heart of “Golden Cage”, a track that takes aim at the ostentatious display of wealth, materialism and the constant pressure to turn personal worth into something that can be shown off, measured and consumed. The single fits into the broader narrative world of Blind Lotus, whose artistic vision has always focused on examining the contradictions of contemporary society through a critical lens. “Golden Cage” therefore becomes the first chapter in a story that will expand across the forthcoming album, where other weaknesses and distortions of modern life will be explored through a dystopian and grotesque narrative. Musically, the track clearly reveals the band’s dual nature: on one side, the immediacy of a highly melodic chorus; on the other, the weight of tight, aggressive metalcore riffing, enriched by electronic elements and occasional orchestral passages. The result broadens the Blind Lotus sound without sacrificing its impact.

Formed in late 2024 within the Tuscan metal scene by musicians from Let Them Fall and Athrox, Blind Lotus have shaped their identity around a blend of American-influenced alternative metal, modern metal and metalcore, developing a personal interpretation of contemporary heavy music while remaining firmly connected to the different musical backgrounds of their members. Following their first singles released through Volcano Records and live performances across major Italian cities, “Golden Cage” marks the beginning of a new phase for the band, paving the way for an album set to push both their sonic and conceptual exploration even further.

With “Golden Cage”, Blind Lotus begin building their next world: heavy, melodic and unsettling enough to make us take a closer look at the reality around us.

KING DIAMOND to Release Three-Track “Halloween” Picture Disc (Feat. New Artwork) on October 23rd

KING DIAMOND‘s Halloween, the three-track LP picture disc originally released in 1986, will be re-released worldwide with new art by Mario Lopez on October 23rd via Metal Blade Records, just in time for the season!

The Halloween title track comes off KING DIAMOND‘s debut album, Fatal Portrait (1986), as does “The Candle,” which served as the opening track on Fatal Portrait, and was part of the early storytelling approach that would become central to KING DIAMOND‘s future discography. “The Lake,” while recorded during the same general period as Fatal Portrait and associated with those sessions, wasn’t included in the original nine-track album.

Halloween was produced by KING DIAMOND and Rune Höyer with production assistance by Michael Denner and engineered by Roberto Falcao.
