Icons of melancholic doom and gothic metal, PARADISE LOST have released their long awaited 17th album, Ascension, today with Nuclear Blast Records.
PARADISE LOST’s first album in 5 years, following 2020’s acclaimed Obsidian, was produced by the band’s revered guitarist Gregor Mackintosh and mixed/mastered by Lawrence Mackrory and is adorned with artwork by renowned British artist George Frederic Watts’ classic painting The Court of Death (1870-1902). Their latest, critically lauded masterpiece is evidence of a band still at the height of their prime 35+ years into a groundbreaking career. Soaked in misery and grief, Ascension soars with song’s like ‘Tyrants Serenade,’ ‘Serpent on the Cross’ and ‘Silence Like The Grave,’ that take listeners on an unforgettable journey through morose despair forged in soundscape of massive riffs and searing solos.
Commenting on the record’s release, vocalist Nick Holmes states:
“It took us nearly 40 years to get here but we’re still tuning our instruments to the key of despair! Please enjoy!”
Today, PARADISE LOST has revealed a lyric video for their next highlighted track, ‘Lay A Wreath Upon The World.’
Adding about the song, Holmes says:
“Lay a wreath upon the world serves as a harbinger of the impending tempest, where humanity will eventually obliterate all that it has created.“
PARADISE LOST will embark on the first leg of the “Ascension of Europe” tour this fall. Tickets are available at https://paradiselost.co.uk/tour-dates/.
The band has also recently announced a handful of intimate signing sessions and a record release show in Leeds, UK. Tickets are available now at https://tix.to/Ascension.

The Inland Empire, a lovely area just east of Los Angeles and Orange Counties in Southern California known as much for its great weather and beautiful deserts as its devastating wildfires and threatening faultlines, is now the epicenter for one of hardcore music’s biggest breakouts, BIG ASS TRUCK I.E.
Over the last year, the five-piece wrecking crew has slayed the scene faster than the Green Goblin big rig from “Maximum Overdrive.” Armed with only a demo and a couple of singles, BIG ASS TRUCK I.E. have managed to dominate the pit with their reckless brand of cataclysmic hardcore at shows with TERROR, COMEBACK KID and STICK TO YOUR GUNS and performances at Welcome To Rockville, LDB Fest, Sound & Fury, Warped Tour and Inkcarceration to name a few.
Today, Nuclear Blast Records is proud to announce the signing of the Truck, who’ve just dropped a rampaging new track/video called ‘BACK-WHEEL STOMP.’
Commenting on the signing and single the band states:
“We’re super stoked to be on Nuclear Blast! They’re such a legendary label that a lot of our influences have been a part of so it’s also a wild full circle moment for all of us to be involved like this! ‘BACK-WHEEL STOMP’ is one of our heaviest songs we’ve made and it’s just the beginning of what we’re ready to unleash with Nuclear Blast.”
Label Manager and Head of A&R for Nuclear Blast America, Tommy Jones, adds:
“Whatcha gonna do when THE TRUCK runs wild on you?!?”

Louisville natives GATES TO HELL deliver a pure shot of adrenaline with their new digital single, “Disfigured‘. The song is a brutally heavy, all-killer-no-filler track—essentially one long, punishing breakdown. The track is a b-side from the band’s recent album release Death Comes To All which was recorded, mixed and mastered by Randy LeBoeuf.
GATES TO HELL comments, “We wrote this kind of intro track a few years ago, a few days before we got to tour with Dying Fetus. It didn’t end up on the record we released earlier this year but we still wanted it to get released and when we got an offer to tour with DF again we felt this was a perfect time to drop this B sides track. When we played it on that tour in 2023 it really got the crowd moving every night so we are stoked that we finally have it out for the world to bang their heads to. Don’t forget to come check us out on tour with Dying Fetus and Mugshot.”
On September 20th, GATES TO HELL will head out on a 24-day trek which will include performances at New England Metal & Hardcore Fest, Louder Than Life as well as join headliners DYING FETUS on their ‘Into The Cesspool‘ US/Canadian 2025 tour with MUGSHOT. Following the tour, the band will end the year with a show on December 13th in Albany, New York. GATES TO HELL will continue their extensive touring in the New Year kicking-off the a run in Europe with SANGUISUGABOGG with openers FULCI and CELESTIAL SANCTUARY.

On October 26, 2024, MOONSPELL performed their first-ever symphonic Orchestra show, dubbed “Opus Diabolicum”, at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal’s capital city. The band made history at this unforgettable live event, adding another magnificent chapter to both metal music made in Portugal and their very own legacy, while revisiting their classics and the bombastic album “1755” at a one-off, exclusive show and their biggest production to date. The heavy metallic power of the dark metal pioneers met the classical magnitude of the 45-piece Lisbon Sinfonietta Orchestra – one of Portugal’s finest orchestras – conducted by maestro Vasco Pearce de Azevedo!
Now, a year later, this monumental event can be yours to view anytime, available in DVD/Blu-ray, 2 CD, Black and Colored Vinyl and Digital formats via Napalm Records on October 31, 2025.
Following the epic previously-released live video for the band’s anthem “Vampiria”, today, MOONSPELL releases “In Tremor Dei” featuring the Orquestra Sinfonietta de Lisboa. Epic, emotional, and devastatingly heavy – this new live version of “In Tremor Dei” shakes the very foundations of MOONSPELL‘s pioneering metal sound, blending soaring melodies and crushing intensity: a once-in-a-lifetime performance!
Frontman Fernando Ribeiro comments: “1755 was an essential album for the orchestral show and the very foundations of it are based on this portent record, Portuguese sung and thematic around the great earthquake of Lisbon, in the 18th century. It’s a track that captures the essence of the whole show and theatrics – Lisbon trembled again but the orchestra played on.”
“I have never been the one to push MOONSPELL into an orchestral direction“, Ribeiro recently admitted.
“I mean, like any fan, I can recognise the impact Classical had over Heavy Metal (Quorthon, from Bathory, used to quote Wagner as his favourite “band”) and in my musical collection Mussorgsky, Prokofiev and Ravel, could be found, shoulder to shoulder with the aforementioned Bathory, Celtic Frost, Sarcófago or Maiden. But, I wasn’t a fan of the metal meets orchestra efforts myself and when I approached Jaime (Gomez Arellano) to mix this beast, I asked him: have you heard S&M and other “live with an orchestra” metal bands albums? We want nothing like that!
This is work of passion: truly the work of the devil (opus diabolicum): imperfect, unprocessed, untamed. A release made by friends to all the friends we have around this goth forsaken world and that in an arena in Lisbon or in a sweaty club in Texas, keep the spell going, until we are no more.”
No MOONSPELL fan, anywhere in the world, should miss their chance to add this rare and massive performance to their own collection! Pre-Order “Opus Diabolicum” now atTHIS LOCATION!

NYC’s legendary pioneers, AGNOSTIC FRONT, are set to unveil the unapologetically fierce new album Echoes in Eternity. The band’sestablished sound remains best known for their pure adrenaline fuelled riffs, unrelenting energy and outspoken critique on social corruption. “Way of War” is the first single to land ahead of this forthcoming onslaught; Echoes in Eternity is set to arrive in its full thunderous form on November 7, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music. The album pre-sale has just started at: https://agnosticfront.rpm.link/echoes
“Echoes In Eternity” is a raging, 15-track assault that blends blistering hardcore punk with hard-earned wisdom. The album includes the politically charged ‘Way Of War’, the unifying pit anthem ‘Turn Up The Volume,’ and ‘Matter Of Life & Death,’ a crossover explosion featuring hip-hop legend Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. Lyrically, the band tackles war, betrayal, oppression, personal struggle, and defiance with unflinching honesty.
The band comments on “Way of War”: “The track is very much a sign of the times! How the corrupt politician’s greed pulls us and many other nations into senseless wars. These actions unfortunately come with casualties that civilians never call for. It’s the way of war.”
AGNOSTIC FRONT hold nothing back. In “Way of War”, the forthcoming album’s opener, a relentless storm of driving rhythms and aggressive vocal chants awaits. It’s an abrasive and raucous display of power against injustice.

About AGNOSTIC FRONT:
Founded in 1982, AGNOSTIC FRONT stand among the most esteemed pioneers of the hardcore genre. No band comes close in sonic and socio authenticity, where the struggles of survival on the streets have literally given life to a sound that remains as impactful today as it was over four decades ago. Their battering, socially critical anthems laid the foundation for true New York hardcore and fuelled the rise of crossover thrash.
After a brief disbandment in the early ’90s, the band roared back in 1998 with “Something’s Gotta Give,” launching a renewed era of relentless touring and crushing albums. Led by the inimitable roar of vocalist Roger Miret and the charismatic, razor-sharp guitar work of Vinnie Stigma, AGNOSTIC FRONT have released a slew of hard-hitting records, culminating in their acclaimed 2019 album “Get Loud!” – a reminder of their enduring relevance and uncompromising spirit.
In 2025, AGNOSTIC FRONT signed with rising metal label Reigning Phoenix Music.“We are excited to announce that we have officially joined the Reigning Phoenix Music family! Excited to work with new and some familiar faces in the team for our new release “Echoes In Eternity,” this coming November! Let’s celebrate in making this collaboration a force to be reckoned with!” says Miret. RPM co-founder Gerardo Martinez adds, “Having worked with Roger and the guys for two decades, this makes it that much more special. Here’s to many more years of killer music!”
Through line-up changes, industry shifts, and a changing world, AGNOSTIC FRONT have remained steadfast: unyielding in sound, spirit, and message. “Echoes In Eternity” proves that after 40+ years, they’re not slowing down. If anything, they’re louder, harder, and more vital than ever.
