Former HADES Guitarist Ed Fuhrman Releases “The Ultimate Guitar Practice Guide” Book

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 23, 2025

Guitarist Ed Fuhrman played on HADES If At First You Don’t Succeed released in 1988 and Hades Live on Location in 1992. Ed toured both Europe and America with Hades. Fuhrman also played lead guitar on all three Metal Blade releases from 1999-2001 culminating in the band’s well received Wacken performance in 2000. Watch the video below.

Fuhrman said, ” I am very pleased to announce the release of my seventh book, “The Ultimate Guitar Practice Guide.” For anyone who plays guitar already or anyone who is thinking of playing guitar, this book is for you!!! This is not a book full of chord charts and scale diagrams, those are a dime a dozen. This softcover 286 page book is written in my own unique style and is jammed full of world-class playing techniques, tips, and tricks. As many of you know, I have been teaching guitar my entire life. I have a rather unique system of teaching, designed to get each student to the highest level in the shortest period of time. Now, for the first time, parts of my teaching system are available in book form. Bear in mind that this book is not intended to ever replace one on one guitar lessons. You’ll always be able to learn more details in a private lesson environment. But for those students who don’t have direct access to me for in-person lessons, this book will be a game-changer for many of you. The book also contains a partial auto-biographical section for those interested.

Please visit my new website if you wish to order a copy of this new book. These are limited-edition print copies, so don’t miss out. No E-books are planned at this time. And please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. I handle all of these orders myself so be patient.

Visit my website for more details and ordering information. Also, any live appearances or book signing events will be listed on the website, so check back often if you are interested in attending something like
this.

EVIL SCARECROW to Release New Single ‘Shoptimus Prime’ on September 26th

EVIL SCARECROW return with the final single to be released ahead of their forthcoming album “Silicon Tea” due for digital release on 1st October 2025. “Shoptimus Prime” will be released on Friday 26th September.

“Shoptimus Prime” is a genre bending consumerist admonition, we might all want to be better people, but we all take the most convenient options sometimes, are we quietly contributing to the downfall of humanity? It’s something to consider while you change the batteries in the TV remote and absent-mindedly caress your reversible sequined Nicholas Cage pillow.

The single comes alongside a plea for help to produce the physical format versions of the new album, as a band without evil corporate label backing, it can be difficult to manage the ongoing and upfront costs of keeping the band alive, so pre-sales are extremely helpful!

Along with CD and Vinyl versions of the album the band are also holding a very special intimate “Silicon Tea” Party on Sunday 5th October at Saltbox in Nottingham, featuring an album playback, an acoustic set and a chance to meet the band and some of their onstage pals, tickets are available exclusively through the Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/evilscarecrow/evil-scarecrow-silicon-tea-vinyl-and-cd-release

Stockholm Metal Veterans STERBHAUS Reveal Details of Upcoming Album “Next Akin to Chaos”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 23, 2025

Stockholm veterans Sterbhaus have set November 21st as the international release date for their highly anticipated third full-length album, Next Akin to Chaos – the first in ten years.

Today, the band also unveiled the album’s tracklisting and cover art:

1. Deth Bü Wolfe
2. Wrecking The World
3. The Evildoer Of Pixelville
4. Whippersnapper
5. Nowhere in the Bible does Jesus have a Sword Fight
6. Master Of The Hunt
7. The Man who was a Rat, who was a Snake
8. Bad workers are slaves…And dead
9. The Autopsy of Intergalactic John Doe
10. Abhorrence

In the meantime, three singles have already been released, accompanied by official music videos and a visualizer, offering a first glimpse into the upcoming album:

“Wrecking the World” – https://youtu.be/mLSGthS05fY
“Deth Bü Wolfe” – https://youtu.be/9Orn55Imy2s
“Master of the Hunt” – https://youtu.be/Y52O5tetIs4

Stockholm veterans Sterbhaus play Metal Deluxe which can be described as timeless Death, Thrash, Heavy, Black and Progressive Metal that is neither retro or modern. And Sterbhaus lines this with a heavy dose or dark wit humour.

The band is the home of Marcus Hammarström (previously Elvira Madigan 1998-2008, Shining and currently also in Veile – side project of Ghul from Mayhem), Jimmy Ahovalli and Erik Röjås (previously Ondskapt and Decadence). Started in 2007 as a five-piece and reformed several times since then, Sterbhaus ended up as a trio after having looked back on years releasing absolutely stellar albums, touring Europe (as support for Vader, Melechesh and Shining), South America and after having played several prestigious festivals such as Metal Town, Rock Harz, BlastFest, Extremefest which meant sharing the bill with Slipknot, Amon Amarth, Marilyn Manson, Behemoth, Opeth etc.

In 2025 Sterbhaus made a quite formidable return after a period of being fairly dormant and surprised the scene with the comeback single “Deth Bü Wolfe” which is the knuckle sandwich old/new/awaiting fans never saw coming.

The current status of Sterbhaus is actually quite unknown as the band announced its end in 2019 – while simultaneously making it very clear that there were still several releases to be made. One was the live album “Necrostabbing at Göta Källare” which achieved the unlikely feat of snagging the No1 sales position in Sweden for physical releases and No9 for all Metal and all formats!

While the debut “Angels for Breakfast …And God for Lunch” (2013) seemed to open most evert door the album “New Level of Malevolence” (2015) – although popular and praised when released, seemed to close those doors instead. Several cancelled tours, being banned for offensive videos (a ridiculous claim ofc), botched promotions, even more cancellations and one or two empty festival seasons together with personal issues put Sterbhaus in such a tight spot the band had a hard time bouncing back. Marcus Hammarström joined Swedish extreme metal titans Shining and toured extensively while Sterbhaus released the Christmas EP “Krampusnacht”. Eventually Marcus quit Shining to focus on the 2025 Sterbhaus album “Next Akin to Chaos”.

Either it will be a momentous epitaph or a new beginning.

Line up:
Marcus Hammarström – Vocals/Bass
Jimmy Ahovalli – Guitars
Erik Röjås – Drums

OF MICE & MEN Return with Brand-New Single And Video ‘Troubled Water’

OF MICE & MEN return with their brand-new single “Troubled Water”, taken from their upcoming ninth studio album Another Miracle, out November 14 via Century Media Records. Written, produced, and engineered entirely by the band, the record showcases them at their most personal and expansive yet.

“‘Troubled Water’ is about setting boundaries and breaking away from one-sided connections,” says drummer Valentino Arteaga. Sonically, the track combines heavy, headbangable riffs with an ominous sci-fi atmosphere, pushing the band into darker territory.

Stream the single here: https://ofmiceandmenband.lnk.to/TroubledWater-SingleEU

Following the singles “Another Miracle” and “Wake Up”—the latter currently climbing the U.S. Active Rock Radio charts—this new release sets the stage for their most ambitious album to date.

Fans can catch Of Mice & Men live this fall at Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Warped Tour, and on a headline run across the UK and Europe , where they’ll perform new material alongside fan favorites.

TENEBRO Announce First Details of Upcoming Album “Una Lama d’Argento”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 23, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: TENEBRO. Leave a comment

Time To Kill Records and TENEBRO are finalizing the preparations for the release of the band’s new album, “Una Lama D’Argento”, scheduled for later this year.

In the meantime, the cover artwork – created by artist Julian Ibanez – has been unveiled, offering a glimpse of the album’s dark and unsettling atmosphere. With their horrific and claustrophobic death metal, TENEBRO reaffirm themselves as one of the most uncompromising and distinctive acts in the Italian extreme underground, ready to push even further with this new work.

With “Una Lama D’Argento”, TENEBRO take their most extreme and visionary step yet: an entire album conceived as a tribute to Dario Argento, the undisputed master of horror, giallo, and thriller cinema.
Eleven tracks that are not just songs, but episodes of a single nightmare, a journey through the dark and obsessive atmospheres of the films that shaped cinema history: Deep Red (1975), Suspiria (1977), Inferno (1980), Tenebre (1982), Phenomena (1985), and Opera (1987).

TENEBRO translate Argento’s universe into sound: riffs sharp as blades, guttural vocals emerging from the darkness, relentless drumming, and atmospheres shifting between pure violence and suffocating tension. Iconic scenes such as the mirror revealing the killer in Deep Red, the brutal mutilation in Tenebre, or the larva-filled bathtub finale in Phenomena are transformed into brutal, immersive sonic attacks, capturing the full horror and tension of the films.

As with every album, TENEBRO continue to evolve, introducing new symphonies, styles, and melodies, while remaining distinctly separate from the wider underground scene. Their music explores new horizons without ever betraying the pulsating heart that has always defined their sound: extreme, theatrical, and viscerally horror-driven.

In “Una Lama D’Argento”, TENEBRO do not merely evoke Argento’s universe: they embody it, rewriting his obsessions in Giallo Metal. It is an album that cuts, tears, and leaves no room for respite.
“Una Lama D’Argento” is not just an album: it is a sonic nightmare, a visceral tribute to the cinema that taught us to love fear.

Tracklist:

1. Inferno
2. L’angelo Caduto Tra Le Luci Del Teatro
3. Impiccata
4. Sangue Sui Muri
5. Lo Specchio… Omicida.
6. Il Corpo Come Spartito
7. Piume Rosse
8. Appare ala Bambola, Poi La Lama
9. Larve Affamate
10. Nel Sonno Della Veggente
11. Jennifer

Line-up:

Il Becchino – Guitars, Vocals
Il Beccamorto – Bass, Drums, Guitars
