MUSTAN KUUN LAPSET – Related Death ‘N’ Roll Band SEPTEMBERWOLF’s Material Rediscovered from Archives – Six Song EP Out Now

Finnish dark metal pioneer Mustan Kuun Lapset (est. 1993) went on a years-long hiatus in 2007. In 2009, while Mustan Kuun Lapset was still buried deep, its singer-guitarist Pete Lehtinen and drummer Mikko Hautala, together with Jari Turja, founded Septemberwolf; a death ‘n’ roll band. The language changed from Finnish to English. The following year, in March 2010, the trio played their debut gig, and soon recorded their first songs at their rehearsal space. One of these tracks, the fast-paced Wormrocket, was released that same year on the compilation album Kill City Twenty Five by Californian 272 Records. During their short career, Septemberwolf played gigs mainly in the Lahti and Helsinki areas in Finland.

In 2011, Turja became Septemberwolf’s guitarist while Lehtinen wanted to focus solely on vocals. Juha Koivistoinen joined the band as a new bassist. Unlike Jari, for whom Septemberwolf was the first band, Juha is known for many underground bands in the Lahti area. He currently plays guitar in the sludge metal band Taser.

As Jari started as a guitarist, he began to take a larger role in composing music. He wrote the songs Together we hang, Killed through every bone and Priesthunter. Pete had written most of the older songs, and some even dated back to the days of Häiriö (which was the original name of Mustan Kuun Lapset in 1993-1995). Dead Flesh Feast, performed at gigs and also available on YouTube, was originally a song by Häiriö, which was mainly composed by Mustan Kuun Lapset´s lead guitarist Pete Tamminen.

With this four-based line-up, Septemberwolf recorded a four-track EP in the spring of 2012 at Toni Laurila‘s NoiseNest studio in Nastola. For reasons that remain unknown, the album was never released, and the band quit that same year. Mustan Kuun Lapset reactivated in 2014-2015, and Septemberwolf’s EP was forgotten for years. More than a decade later, Lehtinen rediscovered it in his archives, and now it has finally been released to the world via Inverse Records. Abomination uncontrolled includes the aforementioned EP as well as two songs recorded in the band’s rehearsal space in 2010.

LAURA COX Releases New Single ‘Do I Have Your Attention?’ from Upcoming Album

French rock firebrand Laura Cox hits hard today with her new single “Do I Have Your Attention?” released on Friday September 19th via earMUSIC / Verycords. The new single is a full-throttle, riff-driven blast of party rock – heavy on distortion, unapologetically loud, and built to shake the walls.

Says Laura, “Do I Have Your Attention? is a track with a clear message and raw sound. It grabs the listener’s attention in a direct way, evoking the ambivalence of letting go, whether it’s liberating or self-destructive.”

Equal parts attitude and adrenaline, “Do I Have Your Attention?” is a reckless dare: speed the amp, plant the foot on the pedal, and watch the world react. Lyrically it plays with the thrill of excess and the edge between fun and destruction – calling out phoniness, testing limits, and refusing to play small. Musically, it’s a fierce one-shot of guitar mayhem: chugging riffs, saturated leads and a chorus that invites singalongs and sing-offs in equal measure.

The new single follows the earlier releases “No Need To Try Harder” and “Trouble Coming,” and acts as a loud, electric snapshot of the energy that runs through the forthcoming album Trouble Coming (out October 31, 2025). Fans will find here everything that made Laura famous – raw guitar chops, classic rock heart, dialled up with a modern punch that keeps the sound urgent and immediate.

“Trouble Coming marks a new era in my musical evolution, still firmly rooted in the rock that shaped me, but driven by complete freedom in writing and composition,” adds Laura. “This album reflects a sense of letting go, both through the themes it explores and the modern sounds that emerged from an unexpected collaboration.”

EPOIMÓRIRÒMIOPE unveils their latest single and official video, “coma”, from the forthcoming album ricordi di un tempo mai esistito, out soon via Epictronic Worldwide.

“coma” is a descent into the mind’s shadowed corners, a love letter written from the edge of breaking. Aggressive, intense, and unflinching, every riff and beat drags you further into epoimóriròmiope’s intense world — a place where chaos, pain, and emotion collide.

Previous Single and Video: Vertigine: Stream– Watch

epoimóriròmiope is:

Erik Storari – Vocals, Guitar, Composition, Production
Sara Fioravanti – Bass
Giulio Barranca – Drums

About:

Emerging in 2021 from Bologna, Italy, epoimóriròmiope fuses Metalcore, EDM, and Alternative Rock into a genre-defying sound. Originally a one-man project, it has evolved in both style and lineup—from the dark trap influences of Vincoli (2021) to the electronic experiments of kabukimono (2023). Singles from these albums remain on YouTube but have been withdrawn from streaming platforms to mark a fresh start with the definitive lineup and sound.

Lyrically, the project has shifted from social observations to exploring the darkest corners of the human soul. The latest album, “ricordi di un tempo mai esistito”, delves into separation, loss, regret, anger, anxiety, and reflections on death and life’s fleeting nature. Its first single, “vertigine”, captures the dizzying weight of absence and memory, offering atmospheric, raw alt-rock where love, identity, and time seem to unravel.

CONSTRICT Drop Ferocious New Song ‘Cattle’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 19, 2025

German grindcore outfit CONSTRICT have unveiled their new single “Cattle”, now streaming exclusively through a premiere on Toilet Ov Hell.

The track is taken from the upcoming EP “Kadavergehorsam”, due out October 3rd, 2025 via 7Degrees Records (GER), Loner Cult Records (BE), and 783Label (UK).

True to the band’s furious and uncompromising ethos, “Cattle” confronts the dehumanizing realities of systemic exploitation with relentless aggression and unflinching lyrical clarity. The single offers a stark glimpse into the raw intensity and thematic depth of “Kadavergehorsam”, reinforcing CONSTRICT’s place among Europe’s most urgent grindcore voices.

Stream “Cattle” at THIS LOCATION.

A furious and uncompromising new chapter, the record will be available on vinyl and digital platforms, further cementing the band’s commitment to DIY ethics and raw sonic intensity.

The vinyl edition is a onesided 12“ on black vinyl – white marbled 12×12“ inlay, sleeve printed inside out.

With “Kadavergehorsam”, CONSTRICT deliver a ferocious statement against exploitation, alienation, and the empty promises of neoliberalism. Through poetically dystopian lyrics, the band confronts themes such as forced labor, capitalism, self-optimization pressure, and systemic inequality. Tracks like “Rats,” “Bloom,” and “Cattle” paint a bleak portrait of a society in which individuals are reduced to disposable cogs. Yet songs like “Fight Back” cut through the despair, offering resistance and solidarity as answers to collective powerlessness.

Musically, CONSTRICT sharpen their sound with a handful of new tracks that are fast, abrasive, and direct, yet never lose sight of engaging dynamics, infectious groove and instantly memorable riffs. The band’s trademark is now enriched by more deliberate shifts in tempo, tension-building breaks and riff-driven hooks designed to grab the listener from the first note. While maintaining their raw, no-frills approach, CONSTRICT introduce subtle nuances, giving each song a distinct identity while contributing to an overall sense of urgency and cohesion. The result is a record that hits hard on first impact, but also rewards repeated listens with layers of detail and energy.

Tracklist:

01. Trapped
02. Rats
03. Bloom
04. Cattle
05. Purgatory
06. Mammon
07. Fight Back

All music and lyrics written by Constrict.
DIY recorded, mixed & mastered between 2023 and 2024 in Potsdam (Germany).
Artwork & layout by Hagiophobic.

Formed in April 2015 in Potsdam, Germany, CONSTRICT set out to play fast and aggressive grindcore, without abandoning the metal roots shared by some of its members. The result is a hybrid of blistering blast beats, classic d-beats, and rolling double bass rhythms more commonly heard in death metal.

Their first release was a raw demo, followed by the debut album “Ultima Ratio” in 2018. After lineup changes (Willy and Nicole departed, replaced by Robert and Fabian), the band wrote and self-released the “Saturation” EP in 2020, staying true to their DIY ethic.

Following the departure of founding member Härry, CONSTRICT continued as a four-piece: leaner, more focused, and creatively energized, a shift that quickly became evident in their songwriting.

In 2022, the “Devourer” EP arrived on cassette, with each copy featuring one-of-a-kind artwork. Musically, it delved into darker and more atmospheric territory, tied together by a conceptual theme of the world’s tragic destruction at human hands.

Relentless as ever, CONSTRICT began writing again, this time aiming for even faster, more aggressive material. Once again, the band took full control of the process, handling recording, mixing, and mastering themselves. Plans to release the new EP on vinyl were temporarily delayed – until now. With the support of three like-minded underground labels, CONSTRICT proudly present their latest work: “Kadavergehorsam”.

Line-up:

Fabian – Vocals
Sebastian – Guitars
Robert – Bass
Matze – Drums

Finnish melodic metal band Dead End Finland is set to release their sixth studio album later in 2025 via Inverse Records. The fifth single ‘Remembrance’ is out today and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/def-remembrance

  • Composed & Written by Dead End Finland
  • ISRC: FI3FC2547703
  • Cover art by Mikko Virtanen

The band comments:
“Remembrance” is a piece about awakening to the present moment and the inner transformation between eras. It invites us to pause, look back at the past, and recognize its impact on the present and the future. The piece weaves together regret and hope. It is, in a way, a journey toward meaning and renewal.”

Dead End Finland is a melodic metal band from Helsinki founded in 2007. The lineup, which has remained unchanged since the beginning, has enabled the band’s sound to develop into its current rich form. Dead End Finland is difficult to place into any specific genre, and in the songs you can hear tones from classical music to death metal. During the years, the band’s style has become even more bombastic and melodic. The compositions have gained more depth and insight. The upcoming sixth album takes the band in a more modern direction, although Dead End Finland’s recognizable sound and basic elements are still easily heard.

Line-up:
Mikko Virtanen – Vocals
Santtu Rosén – Guitars & Bass
Miska Rajasuo – Drums
Jarno Hänninen – Keys

ARENA Releases Official Music Video for Re-Imagined Version of ‘No Easy Way Out’, Feat. Robert Tepper

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 19, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: ARENA. Leave a comment

Alt/Pop/Synthwave artist Arena has unveiled the official music video for his latest release, a powerful reimagining of Robert Tepper’s classic “No Easy Way Out.” Originally featured on the blockbuster Rocky IV soundtrack, the song became an anthem of determination and resilience. In a move that sets this release apart, the track features none other than Tepper himself, bringing a rare and authentic connection between the original and the modern version. The song was produced by Justin “JD” deBlieck (Ice Nine Kills).

“After seeing the response from my cover of Van Halen’s ‘Dreams’, I realized what was going to set me apart from most Synthwave artists and that was getting the endorsement from the OG. After signing with Retro Synth Records, I knew I had to swing for the fence for my first release back. ‘No Easy Way Out’ was a no brainer. The song is iconic, empowering and timeless. I put so much behind my releases, but wanted to make this one extra special and what better way than getting the man himself, Robert Tepper. When Robert and I were in the early discussion stage, I won’t ever forget the first time we had spoke on the phone. A genuine and humble man that in my opinion, is criminally underrated as a songwriter. My heart nearly sank when he agreed to feature on my cover of his. It’s truly been a such a blessing to go back n forth with him as he has remained supportive every step of the way. I only hope to make him proud with this one!” says Arena.

Robert Tepper adds, “How cool is it that Joey included me on this remake? Not only is it a great emotional representation of the song, it sounds amazing!”

The collaboration marks a full-circle moment for Arena, who has been driven by music from a young age. Picking up his first guitar at the age of 10, Joey Arena knew there was no “Plan B”—music was his calling. By 17, he was already a road-seasoned performer, playing night after night and steadily building a loyal fanbase. Hailing from Rochester, NY—a city that’s produced household names like Lou Gramm and Steve Gadd—Arena’s musical journey is deeply rooted in a city rich with artistry and influence.

No Easy Way Out” is now available on all major streaming platforms via Retro Synth Records.

“No Easy Way Out” can be Streamed/Downloaded here: https://hypeddit.com/qrfzlp
