Portuguese black metal act SIGILO has announced its highly anticipated debut album “Gloria ad Inferi”, which is set to be released on October 23 via Alma Mater Records. Alongside the album announcement, SIGILO unveils the track, “Everything Satan”, offering the first glimpse into the dark and uncompromising world of “Gloria ad Inferi”. The single is out now on all major streaming platforms.
Speaking about the track, SIGILO comments: “This song reflects Portugal’s geographical position at the edge of Europe, standing between the winds of the four directions and the vastness of the Atlantic. It speaks of a world without borders, where everything is ours to claim, and where, ultimately, everything belongs to Satan, not to any god.”

SIGILO’s roots date back to 2014, when its sole creator first began exploring the bleak and uncompromising world of Black Metal. What began as an individual search for expression gradually developed through a number of early projects, each serving as a different stage in an ongoing process of experimentation, discovery, and personal transformation.
Among these projects, Mournkind became the most significant – a vessel through which raw emotion, darkness, and sonic exploration could collide without restraint. Over the following years, Mournkind became increasingly important in shaping this artistic vision. Yet beneath the surface, something new was beginning to take form.
In 2019, Mournkind was brought to an end, marking not a departure from its origins, but the beginning of a new chapter. From its ashes emerged SIGILO: a more focused and deliberate embodiment of the ideas, experiences, and emotions that had developed over the preceding years.
Where the earlier projects served as experiments and trials by fire, SIGILO became a process of refinement. The music turned increasingly inward – more introspective, solitary, and uncompromising – while remaining deeply rooted in the essence of Black Metal.
A major milestone came with SIGILO’s signing to Alma Mater Records, followed by the release of the split “Sermão” alongside Brazil’s Luxúria de Lillith. The release marked SIGILO’s emergence onto the wider Black Metal landscape, establishing a distinct identity while firmly acknowledging the genre’s foundations.
Now, after more than a decade of relentless creation, SIGILO presents its debut album, “Gloria ad Inferi”. Forged in solitude, shadow, and unwavering dedication, the album stands as both a culmination and a new beginning – a fierce, solitary declaration shaped by years of searching, transformation, and devotion to the black flame.

Finnish psychedelic space rock trio SKYJOGGERS has released an official video for “Ancient Steel,” the first single taken from their upcoming sixth studio album, Frag Nicht Nach Sonnenschein, due out 13 November 2026 via Sound Of Liberation Records.
Following the recent release of “Ancient Steel,” the new video adds a visual dimension to the first taste of the band’s forthcoming record and marks another step towards the next chapter of SKYJOGGERS.
A relentless blast of fuzz-drenched riffs, cosmic energy and driving grooves, “Ancient Steel” presents the trio’s original brew of fast-paced Plutonic space rock at its finest. At the same time, the track arrives as SKYJOGGERS celebrate a decade as a band, kicking off what promises to be an exciting new era for the Finnish trio.
Written during an intense period of touring across Europe, Frag Nicht Nach Sonnenschein continues the darker and heavier sonic direction established on the band’s previous album, 12021: Post-Electric Apocalypse. The record sees SKYJOGGERS pushing further into their own universe of psychedelic riffs, deep-space grooves and uncompromising sonic destruction.
Recorded in February 2026 at the band’s own studio in Tampere, Finland, Frag Nicht Nach Sonnenschein was recorded and produced by SKYJOGGERS, mixed by Anssi Vättö and mastered by Janne Hakanen.

Kalandra takes the listeners on a breathtaking journey through dreams and nightmares on the new full-length. The first single “Let Me Be Open” encourages the free and openmindedness we gradually lose more and more as we grow older. In dreamy and uplifting soundscapes, vocalist Katrine chants: Let me be open and ready to recieve. The song expresses hope, and inspires to not be ruled by fear, and rather to explore and remember the curiousity and spark of childhood. Katrine explains:
“There’s a moment when you realise how much of yourself you’ve learned to hold back. Let Me Be Open grew out of that feeling, the longing to loosen your grip, let go of some of the fear, and rediscover the sense of wonder you had as a child. It’s a song about making space for something softer to emerge, and trusting that not every shadow needs to be fought.”
On the album “The Other Side” the band explores the mysterious imagery of the subconscious—where memories, fears, and imagination quietly intertwine. Thematically following a series of vivid and recurring dreams over the past few years. Vocalist and songwriter Katrine Stenbekk, together with bandmate Jogeir Daae Mæland, began exploring the world of dream analysis. Keeping a notebook by the bed, they started writing down fragments of dreams the moment they woke. Those scattered images, emotions, and subconscious narratives, became the foundation for a new collection of songs.
Kalandra has also announced their biggest headliner tour in Europe to date, with special guest singer-songwriter Finnegan Tui from New Zealand. The 2027 tour starts on February 26 in Cologne and ends March 27 in Amsterdam. Through the extensive one month tour, the band will visit all major cities in Europe – including the UK and Scandinavia. The dream world has inspired many great works of art over the centuries. The phantasmagorical terrain inhabited by Lewis Carroll, Salvador Dali and David Lynch is where we now find Scandinavian alt-prog-folk artisans Kalandra, whose elegant blend of Nordic pop savvy and dark atmospheric rock has been a developing sensation for 15 years.
Formed while the core members were studying at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, their remarkably assured 2020 debut album The Line – over 54 million streams and counting – was followed by 2022’s immersive video game soundtrack Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands. In 2024, their captivatingly majestic A Frame Of Mind album powerfully affirmed Kalandra’s ascendancy – as did their sold-out headline show at Oslo’s 1300-capacity Rockefeller venue earlier this year. Their proven genius for weaving ethereal melodies into raw and eerie musical landscapes makes them a perfect fit for a concept album about dreaming, as we are presented with on The Other Side.
Determining the theme before writing began, the band started ‘dream journalling’: jotting down their nocturnal visions and working them into songs. “It’s been very helpful to write down my dreams,” affirms singer Katrine. “It definitely affected how I wrote lyrics. I would love to do this again, have some sort of loose concept, it brings the record together.”
“Knowing the theme was dreaming was helpful to me musically too,” adds guitarist Florian. “We could have these dreamy effects in there. I feel most of the songs have nightmarish or dreamy parts, one way or another. There are still a lot of different themes here though, there’s folklore, current events, introspective stuff, life and death… Everything can fit into dreams lyrically speaking, it’s just life, it’s all-encompassing.”
There’s a very dreamlike blend of languor and disturbance taking different shapes throughout the record. Faroese singer-songwriter Elinborg lends her imploring voice to the nervous percussive tension of the uncharacteristically brisk Animal: “Kalandra have long joked about our inability to write an upbeat song,” says Katrine, “so at 136 BPM, this one finally proves that we’re capable of it!”.
Pensive ballad A Ship Has Left The Shore especially exemplifies the album’s scrupulously uncluttered soundscape, focusing purely on the strength of its haunting vocal and piano melodies. “It’s about losing someone dear to you,” reveals Katrine.
Kalandra have long since settled into their own versatile musical identity, embracing effective contrasts between shimmering joy and aching melancholy, sounding atavistically ancient but stylishly contemporary, otherworldly but firmly rooted in woodland soil.
The band have no problem sharing their hopes and ambitions for the future, and it’s much the same as any blossoming band in the prime of their lives with a beautifully wrought new album in the can: bigger tours, bigger crowds, bigger budgets, bigger stages – the bigger the better for Florian. “I’ll only be happy once we’ve done a Rammstein-sized show,” he grins, “with a nuclear power plant on wheels travelling beside the bus! That’s peak ambition!”

Recorded in Atlanta and produced by Pete Newdeck, mixed at PNProductions (UK) and mastered by Harry Hess at H-Bomb Mastering (Toronto), the album captures the band at full intensity while pushing their sound into new territory.
Bassist Chris Taylor reflects on the album’s concept and title: “On this album we decided to bring in a different producer. We love everything (the previous producer) Andy (Reilly) did on our previous albums, but creatively we thought it was time to do something different and have someone push us out of our comfort zone. Every record we want to grow as a band and I think Pete brought out the best of us individually in the studio. When we were trying to decide on an album name, DK and I were leaving the studio one day kicking around ideas. I told him I thought we should embrace the fact that we were an underground band and pay tribute to fans that support underground music. After kicking around a few ideas back and forth, “Anthems From The Underground” was born”.
Formed in 2013, Kickin Valentina quickly built momentum in the U.S. and internationally, first signing with Atlanta indie label Highway 9 Records before moving to Mighty Music in 2015. Since then, the band has released a steady run of acclaimed records including “Super Atomic”, “Imaginary Creatures”, “Revenge of Rock”, “Star Spangled Fist Fight”, and “Raw Trax, B-Sides and Bootlegs”, as well as the EP “Chaos in Copenhagen”, earning a strong reputation for raw, high-energy rock’n’roll rooted in a take-it-or-leave-it attitude.

The upcoming album weaves tales of fiction and fantasy, carried by vivid imagery throughout. Its metaphors explore the shifting dynamics of friendships and relationships, and the constant struggle to make the right choices in life, sometimes succeeding, sometimes falling short.
For half their lives, five guys from Winterthur have been shaking up the Swiss rock scene under the name Jack Slamer. The band was founded in 2007, when the friends’ instrumental quartet; Adrian Böckli (drums), Cyrill Vollenweider (guitar), Marco Hostettler (guitar) and Hendrik Ruhwinkel (bass) was joined by Florian Ganz (vocals). During their first decade, the band developed its own sound and, across two albums, worked its way up from local heroes to SRF Best Talent. From headline shows at Z7, Salzhaus or the Winterthur Music Weeks to festival appearances at Blue Balls, Heitere or Gampel, they’ve been rocking stages all over the country.
With their third studio album Keep Your Love Loud, they broke into the Top 10 of the Swiss album charts in 2020 and eventually headed out on a tour of Spain. During the pandemic, however, things grew quieter around the band. Things had to be sorted out, new paths taken, and the situation reassessed.
In 2024, the decision was finally made: it’s far too early to retire the gig outfits! The boys from the neighbourhood are back, bringing fresh wind and bursting with energy after a forced break from live shows. From then on, though, in a slightly changed lineup: Cyrill left the band and was replaced by Omar Fra (guitar). With a new guitarist, the band’s groove shifts too: a little less Woodstock, a little more denim & leather. What remains is the goal: rock ’n’ roll; loud, live, and drenched in sweat!
Jack Slamer at their newest: full of energy, in a new formation, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Four new songs were produced in the band’s own studio. Even before these singles were unleashed on the public, Jack Slamer had already turned to producing their next full-length album. For that, the quintet holed up in 2025 at the legendary Kerwax Analog Recording Studio in Brittany to capture their new sound straight to tape.

Following the release of “Staining the Ether”, Swedish sludge/doom metal heavyweights KONGH now unveil “Guided to the End”, the second single taken from their long-awaited fourth full-length album, “Dissolved in Time”, due for release on September 25 via Trust No One Recordings.
Described by founding member David Johansson as “the most direct and rock-oriented song on the album”, the track takes a more straightforward approach than much of KONGH’s previous material, as Johansson explains:
“‘Guided to the End’ is the most direct and rock-oriented song on the album. It’s perhaps the most straightforward song I’ve ever written for Kongh. Perhaps it’s also one of my most direct songs lyrically, as the lyrics deal with humanity’s endless attempts to create meaning and permanence in a world that ultimately forgets everything. They also touch on our tendency to conform, and the common fear of stepping outside of norms and expectations, whether they are social, cultural or otherwise. The human need to find significance in things, to leave something behind, and to believe that it might somehow transcend our own existence is both fascinating and kind of absurd. I think the song captures that tension between wanting to find meaning and realizing how temporary everything really is. The fact that life is temporary is, I think, one of the greatest struggles for people to come to terms with. Finding acceptance in the fact that things are not permanent is, at least in my opinion, a way towards fulfillment rather than the opposite.”

Between 2007 and 2013, KONGH released three critically acclaimed albums that established the band as one of Sweden’s most distinctive voices in heavy music. Extensive touring alongside acts such as Meshuggah and YOB earned the band a devoted international following before entering an extended hiatus.
Now, KONGH re-emerge with a record that does not seek to recreate the past, but rather continues and sharpens it. Written from ideas accumulated over the last decade and developed during six months of intensive work, “Dissolved in Time” expands upon the band’s trademark blend of crushing heaviness, vast atmosphere and hypnotic repetition, while incorporating electronics, layered textures and some of the most ambitious compositions in the band’s history.
The album was written and recorded under the direction of founding member David Johansson, who performed guitars, bass, electronics, and lead vocals, while also handling the mixing process. Drawing on years of experience gained both within Kongh and through his time as a touring guitarist for Cult of Luna between 2013 and 2019, Johansson shaped a record that is both deeply personal and structurally expansive.
Furthermore, “Dissolved in Time” features contributions from several key figures in the Scandinavian heavy music scene, including three of Johansson’s former bandmates from Cult of Luna. Christian Augustin performed drums and engineered the vocal sessions, while Kristian Karlsson engineered and mixed the drum recordings. The album was mastered by Magnus Lindberg, who also worked on KONGH’s 2013 release, reinforcing a sense of continuity in sound and vision. Additional backing vocals are provided by Jörgen Sandström, known for his work with Grave, Entombed, and many other seminal acts.
