German rockers 21OCTAYNE – feat. guitarist Marco Wriedt (ex-Axxis) and drummer Alex Landenburg (Rhapsody) – just recently announced the departing ways with their current vocalist Hagen Grohe, for his commitments with another music related project. However Hagen will still perfom with the band, until the new singer has been found.
So, the band has now announced, via their official Facebook Page, the auditions to find the new frontmant:
“21OCTAYNE, signed worldwide with AFM Records, is looking for a new frontman! If you want to front an exciting, stylistically very diverse Rock band and if you want to tour with us and record the next album, then send us a PM to find out how to audition.”
Their brand new video clip “When You Go” turned out to be a big surprise! German rock band 21OCTAYNE – (feat. vocalist Hagen Grohe (The Joe Perry Project), guitarist Marco Wriedt (ex-Axxis) and drummer Alex Landenburg (Rhapsody) – go unusual ways: not only 21OCTAYNE chose children for the clip’s starring roles, they also tell a continuous story. Check out the video below.
“We are extremely happy how things were unfolding with the clip”, the band states. “Looking back, we were more than lucky that everything fell into place suddenly. When doing video clips, of course the result very much depends on the quality of actors – especially when you work with children – not to forget the director’s intuition and knowledge. With seven day of filming scheduled and a real, lively storyline it definitely was a risky undertaking. But now seeing the final result, we are totally blown away by „When You Go”. It turned out into a real movie and we are proud to have such an amazing clip representing our song. Also, all this was a lesson for us in another way: just like when we write new songs; follow your gut feeling and believe in what you do. We are certain that this way the most real and authentic music comes to light too.”
The new (sophomore) 21OCTAYNE album “2.0“ will be released on September 25th (EU)/October 2nd in North America, via AFM Records. Beside standard CD and Digipak (3 bonus tracks) also a special edition limited to 300 units; incl. Digipak, magic mug, bag, signed autograph card and signed guitar pick) is available.
Alex Landenburg, drummer of legendary Symphonic Metal band RHAPSODY and the new Rock sensation 21OCTAYNE has just announced that he’s available for studio-sessions for bands:
“For bands & solo artists who need great sounding drums on their music, here’s your chance to have Alex Landenburg playing drums on your tracks! Anything from single tracks to full albums, progressive instrumental music to Classic Rock & Metal. For more infos just send a PM via Facebook.”
ALEX LANDENBURG joined RHAPSODY in 2012, as full-time member, but his first major step into the spotlight was at age 26 when Jeff Waters asked him to join one of Canada’s most important Metal acts ever – ANNIHILATOR. He toured with Annihilator, supporting the record “Metal” which was recorded by none other than drum legend Mike Mangini. Shortly after Uli Kusch himself asked Alex to replace him in the legendary progressive band MEKONG DELTA. In Alex’s musical carreer we can add also the bands, as 21Octayne, Angels Cry, Axxis, Stratovarius, just to name a few of them.
RHAPSODY/21OCTAYNE‘s Alex Landenburg has checked in with the following update:
