21 OCTAYNE announced recently that the band’s first single “The Heart (Save Me)” will be released on Nov 29th. Preorders at ITunes, Amazon etc.
Alex Landenburg (LUCA TURILLI’s RHAPSODY) has checked in with the following announcement:
I’m proud to announce that I’ll be the drummer for Viv Lalu’s latest band/project Dragonir! Together with me joins Symphony X bass player Mike LePond! Viv’s and I are longtime friends and I’m happy that we finally get to work on an album together! I also can’t wait to hear Henrik Båth’s vocals on it (Henrik and I just recently worked on the Universal Mind Project together and I was blown away by his vocals there) and last but not least it’s great that I’ll also get to play with Joop Wolters, someone I always considered a truly fantastic guitarist!

Here’s a snippet from the preproduction:
Read Viv’s statement below!
Viv Lalu comments: ”I am completely stoked about this! I’ve known Alex for 10 years already. In fact, this is thanks to him if I know Martin LeMar today, if LALU has a vocalist…I did an audition for Alex’s band 10 years ago and Martin was the singer, but they disbanded and I ended up working with Martin on my own band. I am really thrilled that Alex & me are going to work on something together – it means a lot to me – same for Mike. I worked with Mike on Atomic Ark and I felt that given his tremendous contribution to that album, and his work with his band Symphony X, he was the perfect choice for Dragonir.”
Dragonir, Lalu’s new “Orchestral Metal” band/project, consists of:
Alex Landenburg – Drums
Henrik Båth – Vocals
Joop Wolters – Guitars
Mike LePond – Bass
Vivien Lalu – Orchestrations & composition
MASTERPLAN announced that drummer Martin “Marthus” Skaroupka will be unable to perform at the band’s performances on the upcoming Full Metal Cruise, which sets sail on May 5th-12th, 2013. To fill in, the band has tapped Luca Turill’s RHAPSODY‘s drummer Alex Landenburg (21 Octayne/Mekong Delta).
Masterplan is about to release the new LP “Novum Initium” on May 17, 2013 through AFM Records. The band welcomes new members: Jari Kainulainen (Ex-Stratovarius) on bass, Skaroupka (Cradle of Filth) on drums and new vocalist Rick Altzi. Landenburg played with Altzi in At Vance, which is how he came to be contacted:
“Rick called me to ask whether I had some time and wanted to do it. I said yes, and later Roland [Grapow] called me and we spoke about the details. Obviously, Rick [with At Vance] and Jari [with Symfonia] are friends of mine, who I have played with before” explains Landenburg.
The Full Metal Cruise starts in Hamburg and will call at three ports: Southampton in the south west of England, La Havre at the French coast of the English Channel and Amsterdam in the Netherlands before returning to Hamburg. Bands scheduled to appear are:
Bembers, Betontod, Blaas Of Glory, Circle II Circle, Devil’s Train, Dew-Scented, Doro, Eric Fish, Eskimo Callboy, Firewind, Gamma Ray, Heaven Shall Burn, In Extremo, Kreator, Mambo Kurt, Masterplan, Mutz Unplugged, Onkel Tom, Sabaton, Santiano, U.D.O., Van Canto.
