Swedish folk metal band DIBBUKIM will release its debut album, “Az a Foygl Un A Goylem Tantsn”, on April 25 via GM Music. The group says, “[The CD] title translates [to] ‘as a bird and a golem dances,’ and we believe it captures the mood of the recording.”
“Az A Foygl Un A Goylem Tantsn” will feature 12 tracks and approximately 40 minutes of “a good mish-mash between metalized traditional Yiddish songs and newly written material.”
DIBBUKIM was formed in 2009 when Ida and Niklas Olniansky came up with the idea to start a Yiddish metal band. Old friend Magnus Wohlfart was soon recruited and work on a full-length album began.

Swedish folk metal masters YGGDRASIL will release their new album, “Irrbloss” (English translation: “Will-o-wisps”) on April 25 via Grand Master Music. The long-awaited follow up to 2008’s “Vedergällning” was recorded, mixed and mastered at Grand Master Audio in Sweden.

Michael Monroe, iconic rock ‘n’ roll frontman and founding member of hugely influential Finnish outfit HANOI ROCKS, will release his new solo album, “Sensory Overdrive”, on March 14 via Universal Music subsidiary Spinefarm Records. The CD features guest appearances by MOTÖRHEAD‘s Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister and three-time Grammy-winning country/folk singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams.
“Sensory Overdrive” was recorded in Los Angeles with legendary producer Jack Douglas, who has previously worked with AEROSMITH, JOHN LENNON, CLUTCH, SLASH’S SNAKEPIT and NEW YORK DOLLS, among many others.
The first single from the album, “’78” (a homage to a year of great music and significant cultural happenings), will be available on February 21 on both digital download and colored vinyl complete with exclusive extra track.

VERENPISARA (the Finnish name of the plant Fuchsia and Finnish for “drop of blood”), the Finnish band featuring AMORPHIS members Tomi Koivusaari and Santeri Kallio, will release its fourth album, “Eilinen On Kuollut”, on February 23.
The group started working on material for the CD five years ago, but record company problems and AMORPHIS commitments delayed the process, with the bulk of the recording sessions taking place over the last two summers.
