On September 15th, BELPHEGOR will unleash their new full-length Inferno “Totenritual”, via Nuclear Blast, bringing once again diabolical death/black sound into the world.
Today, the band have revealed the cover design of the upcoming album. The artwork was created by Greek artist Seth Siro Anton, who also painted the cover artwork for »Pestokalypse VI« in 2006 and »Conjuring The Dead« in 2014.

»Totenritual« was recorded at Stage One Studios, Germany and Studio Mischmaschine, Austria. Over three years have passed since the »Conjuring The Dead« album was released. The new album will be mixed by Jason Suecof and mastering done by Mark Lewis at Audiohammer Studios, Florida.

European diabolical death/black metal kings BELPHEGOR have successfully finished the drum tracking and bass recordings for their new sinister masterpiece. This eleventh full length album is to be entitled “TOTENRITUAL” and it will present nine new tracks laced with obscure magick and full of furious brutality on September 15th, worldwide via Nuclear Blast. Right after its unleashing, Serpenth [Bass, grunts], Bloodhammer [drums] and the singer; guitarist and founder Helmuth Lehner will embark on an intensive worldwide touring cycle.
Helmuth Lehner states: “It is the most brutally heavy offering we have consecrated thus far. The drums are precise and very technical with loads of breaks, fills and tempo changes. The bass is like a panzer tank. Also the rhythm guitars are completed; utterly aggressive and obscure. You don’t hear guitars like that anywhere with such a massively low tuning. I’m really proud of all we have tracked so far and created for the new audial hellspawn. An honour – this horror!!”

European diabolical death/black metal commandos BELPHEGOR are back in the studio to record their 11th still untitled album! The LP will act as the follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2014 recording “Conjuring The Dead”. Expect a release date of mid September through Nuclear Blast Entertainment, followed by an intense touring cycle worldwide.
Frontman/founder guitarist Helmuth Lehner has given an update on BELPHEGOR´s current run in the studio: “Drums and bass guitar have been executed masterfully by Serpenth (Bass, screams) and German maniac drummer Bloodhammer. A new chapter, a new challenge.”
Serpenth adds: “We’ve once again created an LP with two different tunings in the manner in which we did »Pestapokalypse VI« (Oct. 2006). We’ve added a lot of new elements and structures to our trademark sound and tuned the guitars down to achieve even more brutal and obscure effects. These are the most furiously heavy, fierce and superior nine sound collages we have ever written and recorded.”
