Australian electro prog sensation VOYAGER has shared some fun, behind-the-scenes footage of the making of their “Runaway” music video, which saw a prestigious debut via ‘Eurovision – Australia Decides!’ The BTS clip can be seen at THIS LOCATION.
“Runaway” is taken from the band’s latest opus, ‘Colours in the Sun’, which was released in late 2019. Previously, the video for “Runaway” was exclusively premiered via ‘Eurovision – Australia Decides!’ Following an application via the Song Portal, the band finally received recognition for submitting a track and were paid tribute on the live television broadcast that aired on Saturday, February 8 on the Gold Coast. The video is now available worldwide and can be seen at THIS LOCATION.
Vocalist Danny Estrin comments on the video: “Both my keytars and I were born in the 80’s. There’s something about this generation that has carried through my musical influences (and love for cars) and is pretty evident in the material Voyager is writing today. Being in a band is a journey in itself, and my personal journey has always seen my keytars accompany me all around the world (sometimes in less than mint condition). It was only fitting that we pay a tribute to such an integral part of Voyager’s sound and image in our video for ‘Runaway,’ and we hope our fans continue to follow us and be a part of our history, and our future.”
Australian pop/prog sensation VOYAGER are now streaming a brand new video for the track “Runaway” which is taken from their latest opus ‘Colours in the Sun’. Watch the video via the official Voyager YouTube channel HERE. The link can be freely spread.

Australian electro prog sensation VOYAGER have teamed up with Metal Hammer TV to premiere the stunning music video for their new single, “Entropy”, which features Einar Solberg from LEPROUS. The video, which was created by Dark Spirit Photography, can be viewed via the official Metal Hammer YouTube channel at THIS LOCATION.
An accompanying Metal Hammer feature on VOYAGER can be found at THIS LOCATION.
Vocalist Danny Estrin comments on the video: “Touring with Leprous around Europe and Australia, we became good friends with the guys – they are fantastic musicians and fantastic human beings. Einar has one of the most unique styles and grasp for vocal melodies in progressive music today and it would have been remiss of me not to ask him to guest on this track. I gave Einar free reign to do what he wanted – a risky move usually, but not with Mr Solberg. The end result is stunning – a truly catchy Voyager track with some soaring Solberg – it doesn’t get better than that!
Solberg adds: “I was super happy to participate on ‘Entropy’ with my good friends from Voyager. Very groovy stuff! Danny gave me some guidelines for vocals but I didn’t even listen to them.”
Danny continues: “I can confirm that Einar definitely didn’t listen to the reference track. #surprisevocals”
“Entropy” is taken from the band’s upcoming new album, ‘Colours in the Sun’, which is due on November 1 via Season of Mist. It can be pre-ordered HERE.

Australian electro prog sensation VOYAGER have shared “Water Over the Bridge”, the second single from their upcoming opus, ‘Colours in the Sun’. The song is accompanied by a music video, which features cityscape guitar walk-through with Simone Dow and Scott Kay. The clip, which was created by Dark Spirit Photography, can be seen here:
Guitarist Simone Dow comments on the video, “We wanted to approach the play through for ‘Water Over the Bridge’ a little differently, and what better way than to have a stroll around our wonderful city of Perth playing riffs with faces full of gurn haha. We wanted this to be a bit more of an interactive and interesting playthrough rather than us just sitting in the studio, and so people can see the chemistry between Scott and I when we perform together. There’s also a few cool cameos from the other band members in the video too, which make it fun!”
Adds Scott Kay, “Writing the guitar parts for this album was a little different than previous experiences. Some of the songs are less guitar-driven this time around, and this led me to take more of a reactionary role in writing, rather than having the guitar riff be the catalyst for other ideas, or be the largest musical statement. The guitars were reflecting what the drums or keyboards were doing, and in some cases, they were the last element to be placed into the mix. This gave me the opportunity to think a little differently about what the role of the guitar was at times; it’s not always the driver of the song; in a lot of cases on this album, it fills small spaces and acts as the glue between the bass and the keyboards. Of course, there are a lot of big riffs and parts where the guitars sit right upfront, but it was cool to have some variation, and be challenged by trying to make the guitars sit within an already developed framework.”
‘Colours in the Sun’ is due on November 1 via Season of Mist. Physical pre-orders are available at THIS LOCATION while digital configuations can be found HERE.

In celebration, VOYAGER premiere a brand new music video for the single “Colours” which can be seen below. The video, which was created by Dark Spirit Photography.
Vocalist Danny Estrin comments on the video: “We wished to continue having Australian landscapes as a feature point in our music videos following on from the epic music video for ‘Brightstar’. So, to incorporate more of a cityscape vibe for this dark, yet uplifting synth number inspired by Steve Winwood, ‘Colours’ was intended to demonstrate that we are all colours in the sun, and that we as a band are progressing on our onward journey to the next release, as can be visualised in the video”

Destined for longevity and worldwide success, Perth based quintet VOYAGER recently signed their first worldwide recording contract with Season of Mist following the release of their 6th opus Ghost Mile. Ghost Mile saw dedicated fans contribute to the band’s Pledge Music campaign in 2017, reaching the band’s goal in just a little over a week.
If there is one word to describe VOYAGER’s most current form, it is colourful. After years of evolution and amassing worldwide influences that mold the Perth quintet’s unique sound, VOYAGER have truly come into their own in recent years, crafting a path of success both on and off stage. The genre-transfiguring act blend new-romantic and 80’s infused vocals, keytar solos, technical yet melodic fretwork, groovy bass and bombastic drumming efforts. All of which make VOYAGER the pop/prog/power/rock/metal force that they are renowned as today.
Having toured the world a few times over and having shared the stage with names such as DEFTONES, LEPROUS, NIGHTWISH, COHEED and CAMBRIA, as well as headlining a number of festivals including opening the main stage at Download Festival Australia 2019, Voyager are back with a taste of what’s to come. The band’s versatile sound sees them complement a multiplicity of line-ups, and attract the love and attention of a wide demographic of fans!
In a bid to resonate with audiences all around the world, frontman Danny Estrin explains that “Colours in the Sun” is a musical depiction of a personal journey to an adopted country. “We are the colours in the sun” says Voyager, who are celebrating Australia’s vast and varied beauty with their new album.
