Swedish Timeless “Metal Deluxe” Messengers STERBHAUS released their second album “New Level Of Malevolence” at the end of May 2015, via Black Lodge Records. The album delivers an awesome mix of thrash, death and black metal, spiced with positive energy and a good portion of ironic dark humour. It includes ten tracks which are really all that a headbanger could wish to have in terms of sound violence, technical skill, musical taste and refinement of the sarcastic topics about the absurdity and controversy of this world order.

Just a couple of days ago Tarja Virmakari had a nice long chat with STERBHAUS founder, vocalist and bassist Marcus Hammarström. Besides talking about the new album in detail, Marcus discussed the band’s experiences on their first extended European tour in 2013 with VADER and MELECHESH, and how it changed the band’s life. Among other topics were Marcus’ vocal delivery, the latest video “Crossed and Pissed and Devoured”, and the next album, which STERBHAUS is already working on. On friday the 29th the new STERBHAUS album “New Level of Malevolence” was released worldwide. Now two days later the first video from the album is released for the song “Crossed and Pissed and Devoured”. Watch it below.

Sterbhaus who spent 2013 touring as support for Vader, Melechesh and Shining went on to use most of last year finalizing the preproduction as well as finally recording the album during the autumn. Ronnie Björnström (AEON) did the mixing and once again Gyula Havancak (Annihilator, Destruction, Sirenia etc) is responsible for the artwork. The tracklist is as follows:

Sterbhaus are also confirmed as main support for Anaal Nathrakh and Benighted for the second leg of the “Serpens of Anima” tour between the 23rd and 31st of October.

“New Level of Malevolence” sees Sterbhaus developing their brand of “Metal Deluxe” – the timeless and honest equivalent of Black/Death/Thrash/Heavy Metal that is either retro or modern, and also includes a good portion of the quartets unique and ironic dark humor.

As usual, one can expect a wide array of bizarre videos preceding the album release (in collaboration of filmmaker Martin Strandberg known from Shining videos and documentary, Snowy Shaw DVD, Sabaton).
