Dear Friends,

Today is the one year anniversary of our 7th album ‘A Southern Revelation’ which we released as a FREE(digital only) DOWNLOAD and gift to fans on December 7th, 2011. To celebrate our special day we would like to thank all those who have taken the time to download a copy and donate to our band this past year continuing to keep the spirit of independence alive through our music and art, by releasing this new version of the song ‘Seventh Sacrament’ which was recorded live at the Scala in London, England on our Southern Revelation Tour 2012.

We recorded album #8 a few months back at Soundtrack Black Studio in Knoxville, Tennessee with our good friend and co producer Joel Stooksbury who worked with us on ‘A Southern Revelation’. AMORPHIS: New Song Available For Free Download

“My Enemy”, a new song from Finnish melancholic dark rock/metal masters AMORPHIS, is available for free download for a limited time at NuclearBlast.de. The track comes off the band’s new album, “The Beginning Of Times”, due on May 27 via Nuclear Blast Records.

“The Beginning Of Times” is described as “the most challenging AMORPHIS album so far in terms of both music and lyrics.” Its central character is the iconic hero of Finnish mythology, Väinämöinen, whose tale has been masterfully retold by lyricist Pekka Kainulainen.

“The Beginning Of Times” was produced by the band; vocals were recorded under the guidance of Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH, TAROT) in his home studio in Kuopio. Like its predecessors, the album was mixed by Mikko Karmila. Its cover artwork shows Travis Smith‘s magnificent interpretation of the mythological birth of the world from a goldeneye’s egg.

DJERV: Footage From INFERNO Festival Available

Fan-filmed video footage of DJERV — the Norwegian band featuring singer Agnete Kjølsrud of ANIMAL ALPHA, drummer Erlend Gjerde of STONEGARD and WARDRUNA and guitarist Stian Kårstad of TRELLDOM — performing on April 22, 2011 at Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway during the Inferno festival can be viewed below.

“Madman”, the new single from DJERV, is available for free download at this location. The song comes off the group’s debut album, which will be released in June via Indie Recordings (except in Poland and Czech Republic, where the CD will be made available through Mystic Production).

Swedish folk metal masters YGGDRASIL will release their new album, “Irrbloss” (English translation: “Will-o-wisps”) on April 25 via Grand Master Music. The long-awaited follow up to 2008’s “Vedergällning” was recorded, mixed and mastered at Grand Master Audio in Sweden.

Arch Enemy: ‘Khaos Legions’ Track Listing Revealed; New Song Available For Free Download

Swedish/German extreme metal metallers ARCH ENEMY will release their ninth studio album, “Khaos Legions”, on May 30 in Europe and June 7 in the U.S. via Century Media Records. The CD will mark the band’s return to new, original material, after the release of the “Tyrants Of The Rising Sun – Live In Japan” live DVD/CD (2008) and the re-recordings album, “The Root Of All Evil” (2009). The effort was tracked at Sweet Spot Studio in the south of Sweden with engineer Rickard Bengtsson (who produced 2005’s “Doomsday Machine”).

ARCH ENEMY drummer Daniel Erlandsson previously stated about the new CD, “We had a very inspiring and creative time writing this album. I think this is definitely evident when listening to the new songs. There’s tons of variation in the material, ranging all the way from very melodic to extremely heavy.

“As you can expect there’s no shortage of killer riffs and intricate guitar work; the Amott brothers [Michael and Chris] have come up with some very cool yet demanding ideas! This album has some of the fastest songs I’ve ever recorded, along with a bunch of heavy pounding mid-tempo songs. As always, it’s difficult to describe music in words, but rest assured — this album will be one heavy fucker!”
