ROADRUNNER has issued the following update:
Man, have we got a lot of Opeth news for you today! You can pre-order the super-deluxe boxed set version of their new album Heritage. And you can hear the first song from it today, too!
Stereogum.com has the exclusive premiere of “The Devil’s Orchard,” an epic track that gives a major hint as to the change in sound Opeth have undergone on Heritage (hint: more prog, much less death). This is an amazing record, and this track really only scratches the surface of its awesomeness, but here it is, so go check it out.
“Horns”, a brand new song from Swedish death/black metallers APOSTASY, can be streamed on the band’s Facebook page. (Note: You must “like” the group in order to stream the cut.) The track comes off APOSTASY‘s third album, “Nuclear Messiah”, which will be released later this year via Gothenburg, Sweden’s Rambo Music, a division of Gain Music Entertainment (which is distributed and partly owned by Sony Music). NUCLEAR BLAST has issued the following update:
Swedish epic power metal heroes SABATON just released a new song of the bands forthcoming first ever live album „World War Live: Battle Of The Baltic Sea“.

„World War Live: Battle Of The Baltic Sea“ is set to be released August 5, 2011. The limited first edition will contain an additional bonus CD + bonus DVD!
“Restless”, a brand new song from the Norwegian progressive/avant-garde metal band LEPROUS, can be streamed on the group’s Facebook page (note: you must “like” the band in order to hear the track). The cut comes off the group’s new album, “Bilateral”, which was skillfully mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street studios (OPETH, PAIN OF SALVATION, DEVIN TOWNSEND, SYMPHONY X) in Sweden.
Due on August 22 in Europe and August 23, in North America via InsideOut Music, “Bilateral” “is set to musically redefine what it means to be progressive rock and/or metal, both for the devotees of the genre and the metal fans looking on from a safe distance,” according to a press release.
Commented LEPROUS vocalist/keyboardist Einar Solberg: “‘Restless’ represents ‘Bilateral’ in many ways. It’s complex, but at the same time catchy and plain. Even though it’s one of the shortest songs on the album, I feel it’s flavored with all the things that make LEPROUS special. It has the catchy chorus, it has the groove, it has progish feel and last but not least it has the heaviness.”
“Clawmaster”, a brand new song from Finnish metallers GHOST BRIGADE, can be streamed HERE. The track comes off the band’s third album, “Until Fear No Longer Defines Us”, which will be released on August 19 in Europe and August 23 in North America via Season Of Mist.
The track listing for the CD is as follows:
01. In The Woods
04. Traces Of Liberty
05. Divine Act Of Lunacy
08. Cult Of Decay
“Until Fear No Longer Defines Us” will be released as a CD digipak limited to the first pressing, a double gatefold coloured vinyl with digital download card, and a collector’s box with CD digipak, regular or unisex t-shirt, leather bracelet, postcard hand-signed by all band members and metal button badges. All of the above is available for pre-order from Season of Mist‘s e-shop.
“The Blackmobile”, a brand new song from Norway’s ICS VORTEX, the project led by the former DIMMU BORGIR and current BORKNAGAR member, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track comes off the band’s debut album, “Storm Seeker”, which will be released on August 22 in Europe and August 23 in North America via Century Media Records.
Commented ICS Vortex: “This song was written way back when I still felt black metal was dangerous. Now, totally untrue to all that, it’s a tribute to the only beast I ever loved.” Source: Blabbermouth.net
