GODS OF METAL 2012, revealed the first three special guests

As announced a few days ago, here we reveal the first names that will perform during the long-awaited day of Arena Fiera, on June 24 in Milan (Italy), where BLACK SABBATH (in the original line-up!) will be headlining the Gods Of Metal 2012.

There are three metal bands, for the first time ever at the Italian Gods Of Metal: OPETH, LAMB OF GOD and TRIVIUM!

Opeth, the Swedish prog-metal band, will return to Italy, after the “sold out” of November 24 at Alcatraz in Milan. Their latest album entitled ‘Heritage’ has received already the universal approval …
Trivium, fresh new album and a “sold out” at Magazzini Generali (Milan) are the new pioneers of heavy metal … Their riffs are inspired by the great masters of the genre as Metallica, Megadeth and Testament!
Lamb Of God, that Italy saw in 2009 opening the show of Metallica in Milan and Rome, will release their new album “Resolution” on Roadrunner / Warner on January 24 next year. It will be a killer show: pure fucking metal!

Live Nation has issued the following update:

BAPTIZED IN BLOOD will open the one-day-festival GODS OF METAL 2011, on June 22 at Arena Fiera Milano, in Milan (Italy).

BAPTIZED IN BLOOD is a young and fresh Canadian band, their debut album was released via Roadrunner Records. These guys love to play fast, taking the influences from Swedish and American thrash metal:  a deadly formula, which will make you jump already from the early hours of the morning!

After the recent announcement of EUROPE and now BAPTIZED IN BLOOD, we state that the bill for GODS OF METAL 2011 is now complete.

The headliners at GODS OF METAL 2011 will be JUDAS PRIEST with their “farewell tour”, it will be the last and only opportunity to see Rob Halford & co. in Italy.

The bill of famous GODS OF METAL 2011 grows with Dutch gothic metal band EPICA, led by fascinating Simone Simons. The band has a large fanbase in Italy. Whenever EPICA has touched Italy the shows have registered “sold out”!

The great anticipation grows for the next edition of “Gods Of Metal”, which will be held June 22, 2011 in Milan – Italy. The bill is quite appetizing, already now. JUDAS PRIEST will headline the festival with their farewell tour. The band has chosen, in fact, Gods Of Metal to say farewell to the Italian public, as there are no other shows in Italy, either before or after GODS OF METAL 2011! Among the other confirmed bands are WHITESNAKE and CRADLE OF FILTH!

WHITESNAKE, loved by the Italian hard rockers, after their sold-out, recorded in Padova (Italy) in summer of 2008, they are back with a new album which is scheduled for release next spring. On this occasion, many Italian fans can enjoy about new songs of “King David” Coverdale’s band, as well as unforgettable classics of the ’80s like ‘Here I Go Again’, ‘Is This Love’, ‘Give Me All Your Love’ and more … WHITESNAKE, needless to underline, is the most important hard-rock band of all times and their show at Gogs Of Metal, creates great expectations.

CRADLE OF FILTH, instead, have recently released their new album ‘Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa’ widely respected by critics and audiences. The band, led by Dani Filth, has now opened up their horizons to more classic sounds, in Iron Maiden-style, fixed to the black-symphonic vein, and all this gives the guaranteed remark to the band. The dark environment and worthy stories, likewise Edgar Allan Poe, have made CRADLE OF FILTH a reference in the European metal scene and it will be a pleasure to see them on stage of GODS OF METAL 2011 after many years … welcome back!
