I.C.O.N Confirmed To Support U.D.O. And ANVIL On UK Tour In April

British heavy metal band I.C.O.N will open for U.D.O. Dirkschneider and ANVIL on the UK leg of the current tour. The shows are as follows:
13 April – Manchester, Academy
14 April – Newcastle, Riverside
15 April – Sheffield, The Corporation
16 April – Buckley, Tivoli
17 April – Norwich, Waterfront
19 April – London, O2 Academy Islington
Dirkschneider’s latest tour started in February and has already sold out several venues. Canadian metallers Anvil are main support on the tour until 24 April.

This will be I.C.O.N‘s third tour of 2016 so far, having toured the UK in February and about to play six shows in Europe 17-25 March all in continuing support of their second album ‘The Blacklist’ released June 2015 on Metalbox Recordings. The band also toured Europe as Special Guests of Operation: Mindcrime in December 2015.

Following a successful three-week European tour as Special Guests of Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime in December 2015, I.C.O.N are now returning to Europe to play six shows in Belgium, The Netherlands and France to continue promoting their second album “The Blacklist”.

18 March – Rockcafe Backstage, Nijmegen, The Netherlands
19 March – The Cave, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
20 March – Titans Club, Lens, Belgium

I.C.O.N are also confirmed for Skullfest which takes places in Belgium over the weekend of 10 & 11 June 2016 (http://www.skullfest.be/)
A second European tour is planned for later this year as the band continue working on their third album.
I.C.O.N have just completed an 8-date British Riff Alliance co-headline tour of the UK with The Heretic Order.

The first Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem of 2016 will be a Tribute To Lemmy Special Show on Tuesday 5th January, starting at 6PM GMT on http://www.totalrock.com. As well as many MOTÖRHEAD classic tracks to be played in memory of Ian Lemmy Kilmister, the show will also feature a chat with I.C.O.N drummer and huge MOTÖRHEAD fan Larry Paterson.

The META(L)SCOPE showcases three new tracks from the forthcoming album “Rulebreaker” by German power metallers PRIMAL FEAR. Also coming up on the show are new singles from FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE and WITCHCRAFT plus much more, see you there!

British metallers I.C.O.N were recently confirmed as support to OPERATION: MINDCRIME, the new musical project fronted by Geoff Tate, in Europe and the UK from 1st – 18th December 2015.

This part of OPERATION: MINDCRIME’s tour includes Slovakia, Italy, Germany, England, Austria, Switzerland, and France, and will see I.C.O.N branch out into new territories as they continue to promote their latest release “The Blacklist”. There have been some updates to the tour dates which can be seen on the new poster below. Tickets are on sale now via the I.C.O.N website.
