Finnish progressive melodic death metallers DAMNATION PLAN release a music video of ‘Rise Of The Messenger’ off their new album ‘Reality Illusion’ released March 10 2017 via Inverse Records!

The band’s songwriter-lyricist-drummer Jarkko Lunnas comments:

“The new album ‘Reality Illusion’ deals lyrically with some of the most current and controversial topics of our modern world. This song is an integral part of it and in particular is dedicated to all the unsung heroes sacrificing themselves for the greater good.”

The band’s sophomore release has been catching raving reviews across the metal medias including the Finnish metal magazine Inferno stating “Reality Illusion is by far best melodically catchy progressive metal coming from Finland in years!”. The album was mixed by Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, Bloodbath, etc) at Unisound Studios.

LYKAION Signs With Inverse Records, To Release Album In February

Italian dark metal band LYKAION and Finnish metal label Inverse Records announce their cooperation. The second album is called “Heavy Lullabies” and it represents a firm step forward compared to the debut album “Nothin’ but death”. The result is a perfect balance between scratching sounds and straightforward melodies who will easily stick in your head after just one listening, in a perfect range from ballads to heavier songs. Heavy lullabies is scheduled to come out in February 6th 2015 via Inverse Records.

HEROES OF VALLENTOR To Release Debut Album In October

Swedish heavy metallers HEROES OF VALLENTOR are set to release their debut album “The Warriors Path Part I” On October 10th, via Inverse Records.

It all started back in 2005 in Sweden with the two brothers Lars and Björn Sköldmark and they started to write songs together. In 2007 the two brothers had recruited a guitarist, Anders Nilsson, and a drummer, Erik Forsgren (Slowgate, Skeleton Birth) and they had their first gig in at a local festival. The band went into studio to record their first demo “Lawgiver” in the beginning of 2008. During the next year the band lost both Anders and Erik, so they had to recruit some new members. Tommy Johansson (Reinxeed) joined the band as a guitarist but no drummer yet.

The band had some new material and went into studio to record their second Demo “Path to Victory” in 2009. Later into 2009 the band split up on the grounds on that Tommy Johansson and Björn had too many bands they were busy with. In about a half year after that Björn and Lars sat down and had a few beers and agreed that Heroes of Vallentor would unite again!

Once again they needed new members so they started to search. They found Emil Ruthström-Sandin as a drummer and Stefan Norlin (Obliteration Imminent) as a lead guitarist. Now they were at full force once again. They decided to play and played a lot in Sweden for 1,5 years. During 2012 Stefan left the band, because of work, and they recruited Calle Sundberg (Charlie Shred, ex-Reinxeed) as a lead guitarist. The band wrote new songs and eventually they came in contact with Inverse Records to release their debut album “The Warriors Path Part I” and it will be out October 10th 2014. Heroes of Vallentor longs for more raging battles and so the Quest begins!

MAGENTA HARVEST To Record Full-Length Debut In May

MAGENTA HARVEST, the Finnish death metal band featuring current and former members of FINNTROLL, CHTHONIAN, MYGRAIN and …AND OCEANS, will enter SoundSpiral Audio in May and to begin recording as-yet-untitled full-length debut with Juho Räihä. A summer/fall release via the Finnish label Inverse Records is expected.

MAGENTA HARVEST‘s second EP, “Apparition Of Ending”, came out in March 2012. According to a press release, the latest effort saw the group widening its soundscape with the help of Aleksi Virta of FINNTROLL, who “create[d] some epic keyboard stuff” to go along with the material.

MAGENTA HARVEST released its debut EP, “A Familiar Room”, in February 2011.

MAGENTA HARVEST was formed in 2005 as a two-man project featuring Timo Kontio (HAVOC UNIT, …AND OCEANS) on guitar and Janne Manninen (MYGRAIN, …AND OCEANS) on drums. In 2009, second guitarist Timo Hanhikangas (TOTAL VOMIT EXPERIENCE) and bassist Jonas Frilund (CHTHONIAN) joined the band. Another year went by before Mathias Lillmåns (FINNTROLL, CHTHONIAN) agreed to front the group.
