VADER Issues New Studio Update: Spider’s Guitar Tempest

At the end of April the Polish death metal icons VADER entered the Hertz Studio to record their new album “The Empire”, set to be released by Nuclear Blast on September 23rd 2016 in Europe. Prior to the full-length album release, VADER will unleash a mini-album “Iron Times” consisting 4 songs. To let their fans to follow the recording progress and more, VADER launched a new website “Imperial News”.

VADER guitarist Spider was working on His new songs in the studio. You will find few words about them right here:

“My first song (“Tempest”) was pretty much inspired by so called “old school Death Metal”. This composition develops and turned in middle from classic riff to more modern, “broken” beat. Such kinda adventure from old school to the present. The main riff in next song was inspired by James, when He was playing one of His new drum patterns. We were jamming with that one on couple of sound checks so we created the backbone for “The Last Crusade”. Jimmy has sent me some midi with grooves and I added guitars. “Hexenkessel” from our last album was made in the same way, so I can say, that this is our next song made in team. This is very special tune in pretty modern rhythmic.”

At the end of April the Polish legendary death metal icons VADER entered the Hertz Studio to record their new album “The Empire”, set to be released by Nuclear Blast on September 23rd 2016 in Europe. Prior to the full-length album release, VADER will unleash a mini-album “Iron Times” consisting 4 songs. To let their fans to follow the recording progress and more, VADER recently launched a new website “Imperial News”.

Read below Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek‘s new studio update:

“Next song on “Iron Times” EP is not quite a cover. I wrote it for the band PanzerX 10 years ago. This Heavy Metal project was pretty successful combination of musicians from different Metal generations and besides me They were: Grzegorz Kupczyk (Turbo, Ceti), Spider and Witek Kiełtyka (Decapitated), who died in accident in 2007. We have recorded a bunch of songs in Olsztyn, which were released then by MMP as “Steel Fist” mini album. The whole studio session was engineered by our Friend Szymon Czech (who died in 2012). VADER version is heavier and I wrote new text…in Polish (that’s why the title is now “Stal i Piesc”). This very typical battle song tells about “clash of steel titans” times and fulfills “Iron Times” perfectly. “

Tribute to the Hero…

“Lemmy left us forever at the end of 2015. Motörhead ceased to exist in the same day…. This is so sad. That was one of the first extreme Metal band, I ever listened to and “Ace of Spades” my very favorite album for years. VADER made a lot of classic covers in the past but never Motörhead. It’s about the time to do it now! I choose “Overkill”. I love this tune and it does fit perfect to the EP called “Iron Times” and its concept. Joe Petagno created the cover, of course 😉 Our “Overkill” cover sounds different. There are two guitars and bass in VADER and we were not going to copy the unique Motör-sound. However, we remind great song of even greater band of the greatest man ever: Mr. Lemmy Kilmister! My hero \m/”

Polish death metal icons VADER entered the Hertz Studio at the end of April to record their new album “The Empire”! To let their fans to follow the recording progress and more, VADER recently launched a new website “Imperial News”.

Prior to the full-length album release, VADER will unleash a mini-album “Iron Times” consisting 4 songs. The EP cover art has been created by Joe Petagno. The cover art will be exposed puzzle by puzzle, today drops in the third piece. Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek has unveiled more information as well as the EP release month, read below:

10″ EP “Iron Times” is planned to be out in middle of August. This is gonna be very first touch of the new VADER full length “The Empire”. This 4-songs record includes two brand-new tunes in slightly different versions plus two covers. “Parabellum” opens the EP and this is really brutal, fast song, so much typical for the band. Next one – “Prayer To The God Of War” – a bit slower but still pretty brutal Metal anthem. Which are those two mentions covers? You will know soon….. \m/

“Welcome again! This time I have few words to say about EP, which is gonna be released before the full length, yet in Summer. This mini album and preludium for “The Empire” consists 4 songs. Which songs? This I will inform You next time 😉 Famous Art Master – JOE PETAGNO, once again created amazing cover art, which is totally connected to the title and songs. Hard times demand Hard Music…. (20 May 2016)

“What more about “IRON TIMES” and general inspiration for the upcoming new VADER album? It is obvious, that “The Empire” is not just another Star Wars movie inspiration (tho’ it is a touch of the general subject, if I can say so ;)). It is more about kinda feeling today. The feeling, that “there is something in the air”, if You know , what I mean. The whole world gets a bit crazy and the escalation of hatred is so much visible. Similar situation is known in history of 20th century. Not so long time ago… Strain, insecurity, doubts. Civilians work on their body form, condition much more intense. More people learn , how to shoot (yet still on shooting-range). Does it herald something? Hard to say…. The other historical event is 100 years anniversary of The Great War, known as World War One. The first appearance of tanks in masses (even the name “tank” came from those times) , first armor battle was in 1916. That was Iron Time indeed.
