Ukrainian modern metal frontrunners JINJER have returned with a vengeance! Today, JINJER turns heads with a new music video for the gut-punching anthem “On The Top”. Never failing to deliver an unforgettable hook, “On The Top” slinks along a punishing groove before soaring into melodic passages – just another example of what listeners can expect to be met with on the band’s upcoming full-length album, Macro, out October 25, 2019 via Napalm Records.
“While one is climbing, the rest is falling down in the name of profit – Is it lonely on the top?”
JINJER says about “On The Top”:
“Have you ever felt like a rat in a rat race? It seems like the world is spinning faster and faster every single day and everyone is going crazy searching for this thing called success. However, we tend to forget that real happiness has nothing to do with it- not a career, achievements, money etc. Is it really worth climbing up the ladder just to be ON to the TOP if there is nothing or no one there for you in the end? It’s OK to want to be the best you can possibly be but just remember that success has its price but it’s up to you to decide how much you are willing to pay for it. It’s your choice to make but your burden to bare …”

Check out the band’s recently released video for their first single, “Judgement (& Punishment)”, HERE.
Devastating riffs, aggressive vocals, powerful melodies and astonishingly deep lyrics make Macro JINJER’s most advanced and undeniable album yet – taking the listener on a journey of trauma, power struggle and greed with a progressive groove metal backdrop.
While January 2019’s Micro EP proved to be a short exercise in madness and technical brilliance, fans still aren’t prepared for what JINJER has in store with the absolutely unbridled Macro. Defying all boundaries, the aptly titled opening track, “On The Top”, features the band`s eclectic trademarks and obeys one law only – their own. Frontwoman Tatiana Shmaylyuk defines the unique character of the Ukrainian act with menacing whispers, enthralling clean vocals and brutal growls whilst lethally groovy riff cascades melt into twisted songwriting. There is space for a microscopic bit of reggae “Judgement (& Punishment)” in all the heaviness, the double bass is beautifully out of control on “Pausing Death”, and technically superior tracks like “Home Back” defy gravity.
JINJER says about Macro: “Going from small things to bigger ones is the natural order of things, and we’ve paved a path from Micro to Macro, carrying the weight of feelings, emotions and experience. This is a monumental point in the story of JINJER, the quintessence of what makes us what we are now as the people and as a band. We are proud of every single note sung and played on Macro and can’t wait for you to give it a listen!”

The wait is over! Following up on the release of their most recent full-length album, 2016’s King of Everything, and this year’s Micro EP, Ukrainian modern metal frontrunners JINJER return with their gamechanging new album, Macro. The album is set to be released via Napalm Records on October 25, 2019. Punishing riffs, aggressively blended vocals and astonishingly deep lyrics make Macro their most advanced and undeniable album yet – taking the listener on a journey of trauma, power struggle and greed with a progressive groove metal backdrop.
JINJER on Macro:
“Going from small things to bigger ones is the natural order of things, and we’ve paved a path from “MICRO” to “MACRO”, carrying the weight of feelings, emotions and experience. This is a monumental point in the story of JINJER, the quintessence of what makes us what we are now as the people and as a band. We are proud of every single note sung and played on “MACRO” and can’t wait for you to give it a listen!”
In addition to announcing the release of their new album, JINJER have released a new single and official video, entitled “Judgement (& Punishment)”. “How many times have we reacted harshly to something just because we simply do not understand it? It seems like there is an innate human trait in all of us, when there is something unknown or unfamiliar that we tend to question the substance, to attack and finally to destroy it … just like primitive apes. But when it strikes back it might be too much to bare. Every action causes a reaction. Judgement (& Punishment) is a reaction. Just keep that in mind.”

In less than 10 years, the four-piece progressive groove metal wrecking machine known as JINJER have carved their very own place in the heavy metal landscape and are poised to go even further in 2019 and beyond. Hailing from Donetsk, this Ukrainian musical oddity formed in 2009 but consider the official start of the band with the addition of the incredible vocalist and femme fatale, Tatiana Shmailyuk, in 2010. Since then, JINJER have been nominated and won the Best Ukranian Metal Act award for Best Ukrainian Metal Band multiple times.
This year’s Micro EP was received with open arms by fans and critics alike, climbed to the top of many industry charts and radio station lists worldwide and once again showcased the musical depth and songwriting talent of the band, as well as Tatiana’s amazing vocal range. The band will build upon these successes with Macro.
Ukrainian progressive groove metal wrecking machine JINJER, who impressively burst into the scene and belongs to THE most fast-rising, leading bands in modern metal times, have announced a very special guest act in support of their extensive tour to kick off this Fall. Canada’s extreme melodic death metal unit, THE AGONIST, who are set to release their brand new album Orphans on September 20th with Rodeostar Records, will be joining forces on this ultimate metal trip!
More extreme, more melodic, more exciting and larger than life sounds: On their sixth studio record, THE AGONIST are unleashing a true monster feeding on melodic death metal and almost rocking moments. In between beautifully anthemic metal sound walls, pounding grooves and fierce riffs, charismatic front vocalist Vicky Psarakis showcases her impressive range that covers everything from rock diva all the way to sick death metal growls. The result is a flickering, iridescent and varied masterpiece nestled in between sheer brutality and melodic frailty – simply incomparable, and especially live a massive wall of heavy as hell sounds!
“For years our fans have been asking if we will ever tour with Jinjer. Well here it is!” the band comments. “We couldn’t think of a better way to tour Europe than with such a great band and such great people! We’ve had the opportunity to play a couple shows with them over the years and immediately felt like this was a package that just works on all levels. We can’t wait to unleash our new album Orphans across Europe this fall! Get your tickets now cause these ones are moving fast!“

One of the hardest working bands in the heavy metal landscape at the moment, Ukrainian juggernaut JINJER have released a 4th video single “Teacher, Teacher!” taken from their critically acclaimed 5 track EP entitled Micro, released via Napalm Records in January 2019.
Filmed in various concert venues throughout Europe on their last tour with Amorphis and Soilwork, “Teacher, Teacher!” is a visually stunning portrayal of JINJER‘s exciting and energetic live show mixed over the unique Progressive Groove Metal sound that sets them apart from the rest of the pack.
Check out “Teacher, Teacher!” here:
The band comments on the new track & video “Teacher, Teacher!“: “The idea behind the song is about people that dictate their agenda by means of their status, position, or just their internet claim to fame in order to impose their opinion onto others but those opinions aren’t based on experience nor knowledge.”

Finnish melancholic progressive metallers AMORPHIS released their enormously successful new album »Queen Of Time«, on May 18th, 2018 through Nuclear Blast. To present their new hymns live on stage, the band is pleased to announce that they will join forces with visionary Swedish metallers SOILWORK for a European co-headline run in early 2019. The band is currently working hard on the follow-up to 2015’s hit album »The Ride Majestic« (Nuclear Blast). The trek will mark SOILWORK‘s first tour in support of their new record. As if this package wasn’t great enough, these headliners will be supported by Ukrainian modern metal outfit JINJER plus German melodic death/doom metallers NAILED TO OBSCURITY, who are working on their Nuclear Blast debut.
AMORPHIS guitarist Esa Holopainen commented, “We can’t wait to hit the European roads and take the AMORPHIS live production to the next level with the »Queen Of Time« tour. We are really happy to bring the mighty SOILWORK, JINJER and NAILED TO OBSCURITY to this tour as well. Get your tickets now, it’s gonna be a blast from the past!”
Added SOILWORK vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid, “We are very excited about touring with AMORPHIS, as the first tour for our upcoming album. AMORPHIS have been my favorite Finnish band since I was a teenager, when »Tales From The Thousand Lakes« was my daily soundtrack. Both of the bands’ unique take on metal, will create an epic cocktail, as we roll through Europe on tour together. It’s about time, I can’t wait!”
JINJER stated, “We are absolutely thrilled and honored to tour alongside two metal giants such as AMORPHIS and SOILWORK, it’s almost too good to be true! We’ll be bringing our A game and playing some new material as well. Europe, get ready because 2019 is going to get loud!”
NTO guitarist Jan-Ole Lamberti said, “We can’t wait to get back on the road again and we are very excited to be a part of this killer tour package. We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces at cities and venues that we’ve already played in the past, but also to meeting lots of new people at places and even countries we haven’t been to yet. This is going to be great!”
