ASTRAL DOORS previously stated that the upcoming album will “be something special. This time around we deal with religion, and all the shit it has brought to the world, once and for all.” Source: Blabbermouth.net
Keijo Niinimaa (ROTTEN SOUND) and Julien Truchan (BENIGHTED) are among the guest musicians who will appear on “Global Flatline”, the seventh full-length album from death metal psychopaths ABORTED, tentatively due before the end of the year via Century Media Records. The CD is being recorded at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen (INVOCATOR, HATESPHERE, VOLBEAT). 15 tracks of “the most brutal and intense material the band has written to date” are laid down for the effort, with 12 tracks set to appear on the regular album and the rest to be used as bonus material.
The first in a series of video clips featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the recording process can be seen below.
The artwork for “Global Flatline” will once again be handled by Justin Osbourne who previously worked with the band on its 2010 EP, “Coronary Reconstruction”.
Since 2011 marks the ten-year anniversary of ABORTED‘s “Engineering The Dead” record, the band decided to re-record two tracks from the album as part of the bonus material for “Global Flatline”.
Commented ABORTED vocalist and founder Sven de Caluwé: “We are thrilled to be finally recording ‘Global Flatline’ and have the material out there. It is exciting in many ways, one being that this might be one of the most important records in ABORTED‘s career. We really took our time in composing the most heavy and uncompromising material the band has written to date. Some of the material is faster than ever, some of the material is slower than ever, some old-school and some new-school, inspired by all eras of ABORTED, yet still sounding unique on its own. Writing this record definitely took us back to the roots of why we started playing this kind of music in the first place, the passion and adrenaline you get from playing extreme metal. Obviously it just isn’t a carbon copy of ‘Goremageddon’ or ‘Engineering The Dead’ or anything: there are plenty of new elements as well since we never believe in writing the same record. Those who checked out ‘Coronary Reconstruction’ have had a small taste of what’s to come and we can guarantee you won’t be disappointed with ‘Global Flatline’!”
ABORTED current lineup features Sven De Caluwé (also of SYSTEM DIVIDE) on vocals, Dirk Verbeuren (SOILWORK) on drums (studio only), Eran Segal (ex-THEY SWARM/WHORECORE) and Ken Sorceron (ABIGAIL WILLIAMS) on guitar and Jb Van De Wal on bass.
The new album of the death-grind super group LOCK UP„Necropolis Transparent“ is out now!!
LOCK UP, featuring Shane Embury (NAPALM DEATH, VENOMOUS CONCEPT), Nicolas Barker (ex-CRADLE OF FILTH, ex-DIMMU BORGIR), Tomas Lindberg (AT THE GATES, DISFEAR), Anton Reisenegger (CRIMINAL, PENTAGRAM) and featutring guest-appearances from Peter Tagtgren (Hypocrisy/Pain) and Jeff Walker (Carcass) have uploaded an album preview for their new milestone in grind. Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2Moo3U9MHA
Producer Andy Sneap commented the new stuff: “Having known Nick and Shane (a.k.a. the sumo tag team of grindcore) since the late 80’s its always great to get together with old friends and make some noise in the studio. “Necropolis Transparent” by far, surpasses what we achieved together back in 1999 with “Pleasures Pave Sewers” in terms of brutality, speed and song writing along with the help of new guitarist Anton Reisenegger (Criminal, Pentagram). For me personally ,it was quite refreshing and great fun to do something this extreme, especially with my mates Nick, Shane and Carcass mainman/Mersey scally Jeff Walker swinging by the studio to handle guest vocal duties and help us drink way too much. I have to say that “Necropolis Transparent” is way more than just another grindcore album, it has elements of everything that represents brutal and extreme-An absolute MUST for everyone out there that like their metal full of aggression, violence and pure savagery. BUY OR DIE!!!”

Emppu Vuorinen (NIGHTWISH), Santeri Kallio (AMORPHIS), Gus G. (pictured below; FIREWIND, OZZY OSBOURNE) and Jouni Hynynen (KOTITEOLLISUUS) are among the guest musicians who will appear on “Räyh!” , the third album from HEVISAURUS, a Finnish heavy metal band which wears dinosaur costumes and makes music for children. The CD is scheduled for release on September 28.
According to Helsingin Sanomat, many Finnish parents also like HEVISAURUS, as it differs from adult heavy metal only with respect to the lyrics, and the fact that instead of musicians adorned with heavy metal attire and makeup, the music is performed by four dinosaurs and a dragon.
HEVISAURUS‘s second album, “Hirmuliskojen Yö”, entered the official chart in Finland at position No. 3. The CD featured guest appearances by Perttu Kivilaakso (APOCALYPTICA), Janne Wirman (CHILDREN OF BODOM), Antti “Hyrde” Hyyrynen (STAM1NA), Janne “Burton” Puurtinen (HIM), Elias Viljanen (SONATA ARCTICA) and Nino Laurenne (THUNDERSTONE).
HEVISAURUS‘ debut CD, “Jurahevin Kuninkaat”, came out in October 2009 and has since been certified gold in Finland for sales in excess of 15,000 copies.
HEVISAURUS is:
Herra Hevisaurus – Vocals Riffi Raffi– Guitar Muffi Puffi – Bass Komppi Momppi – Drums Milli Pilli – Keyboards

The band is currently collaborating with French artist Fursy Teyssier on a video for the song “Clawmaster”.
“I remember GHOST BRIGADE contacting me two years ago, asking for a music video,” Fursy states. “Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do it so we forgot the idea. Now this music video is back on the table and I’m very, very excited to start the production. I have experience in short films, but I never did any music video, so that will be a pretty new and unknown experience to me, and I’m extremely glad that it’ll be together with GHOST BRIGADE. I loved their ‘Isolation Songs’ album, and now I’m listening to ‘Until Fear No Longer Defines Us’ every day. Great album, and I’m very proud they trust in my work… Those two months producing a six-and-a-half-minute music video will be intense to me…”
Finnish melodic death metal band ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW have entered the studio to begin recording their seventh album for a 2011 release.
Commented guitarist Jarmo Puolakanaho: “We have finished our first recording session at Tico-Tico Studios.
“We are recording this album in two main sessions, plus some extra sessions throughout this year. This way has proven to be the best for us and our timetables and we’ve been using the same ‘take it slowly, make it good’ method ever since our comeback in 2005.
“What we did during the past weeks was recording the basic tracks for six songs. Now, it’s time for a short summer holiday after which we’re going to do the vocals and the keyboard tracks, and, of course, to write more new songs for the second main recording session, which is going to take place at the end of this year.
“Trying to verbally describe the new songs is like trying to draw how they sound like. And even if we somehow managed to describe how the new songs sound like, they only represent one half of the forthcoming album.
“Anyway, it has been announced that we’re going to play our second (and last) gig in 2011 at Jyrkka 2011 rock festival in Pudasjärvi, which is nice, as this band was formed in the very same town and as a matter of fact, we played our very first gig on the same stage fourteen years ago. And now, after eleven years, we’re coming back to our original home town. Nice.”
