Falconer: New Song Available For Streaming

“Svarta Änkan”, a brand new song from Swedish metallers FALCONER, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track comes off the band’s seventh album, “Armod”, which will be released in Europe on June 3 via Metal Blade Records. The CD features 11 songs completely sung in Swedish and four bonus tracks that are said to be English versions of the bandmembers’ favorite new songs.

“Armod” was once again recorded at KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque‘s Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden during December and January. FALCONER states, “The recording and mixing process went smoother than ever before.

“The album is embracing the Swedish folk music to a greater extent than before making it sound slightly more down to earth.

“The music spans from acoustic songs with cello, flute and fiddle to songs with blast beats and really heavy riffing.

“As said before this is a ‘one-time-only’ album and does not define the future sound of FALCONER, but it was about time to pay full notice to the infuence that has always made us different. Now we have that out of our system!”

“Vicious Companions”, a brand new song from Swedish metallers WOLF, is available for streaming on the band’s Facebook page. The cut, which WOLF calls “the perfect track for beer drinking and headbanging, although maybe not at the same time,” comes off the group’s sixth album, “Legions Of Bastards”, which will be released via Century Media Records on the following dates:

Swedish folk metal masters YGGDRASIL will release their new album, “Irrbloss” (English translation: “Will-o-wisps”) on April 25 via Grand Master Music. The long-awaited follow up to 2008’s “Vedergällning” was recorded, mixed and mastered at Grand Master Audio in Sweden.

“My Heart Escapes”, a brand new song from Stockholm, Sweden’s BLINDSIDE, can be streamed at this location. The track comes off the band’s long-awaited new album, “With Shivering Hearts We Wait”, which will receive an “underground release” on May 6, with a “worldwide release” to follow on June 7. The CD was produced by Howard Benson, Mike Plotnikoff and BLINDSIDE and was recorded at Bay 7 studios in Valley Village, California and Stockholm, Sweden.
