American Hard Rockers SKID ROW have issued the following, on the band’s Official Facebook Page:
After 14 years of touring and 4 releases, SKID ROW has released singer Johnny Solinger.
Founding member Snake Sabo said, “We had a lot of great times together and created a lot of great music. We wish him nothing but the best.”
“Sometimes things just end. People go in different directions and grow apart and you have to make a decision. He will always be our brother” adds co-founder Rachel Bolan.
Tony Harnell
The vacancy for a new front man has been filled by powerhouse vocalist Tony Harnell. This news comes hot of the heels of his departure from Norway based band, TNT. “Tony’s experience, power and undeniable range made our decision an easy one” commented guitarist Scotti Hill. Drummer Rob Hammersmith added, “I believe this will be a great year for SKID ROW. I’m looking forward for things to come.”
When asked about joining forces with SKID ROW Harnell said, “I’m so excited and honored to be a part of such a great band with an amazing legacy and legions of faithful fans! The guys and I have known each other for many years and this is such a natural fit. I look forward to getting out there and playing live together and being a part of making new music and creating our future together. It’s time to rock!”
The band will head into the studio to record the third chapter of the United World Rebellion trilogy this summer. They will also hit the road for another world tour in support.

BLACK STAR RIDERS members are scheduled to enter the studio in Dublin, Ireland in October 2014 to start recording their sophomore album. Taking over the production reins will be DEF LEPPARD front man Joe Elliott. The second member of the dream team will be long-time DEF LEPPARD sound engineer Ronan McHugh.
BSR vocalist Ricky Warwick shares why Joe was tapped for this album:
“Joe Elliott’s passion, enthusiasm for music, as a fan, artist and friend is unquestionable and Ronan McHugh is a phenomenal engineer. Personally having worked with these guys before, it was a no-brainer when they said they would like to produce the new BSR album. We are confident that this will be a huge leap forward in the evolution of the band.”
“Having worked with Scott [Gorham] on the THIN LIZZY remixes a few years ago and having produced Ricky’s first two solo albums, I’m looking forward to taking our musical journey together even further,” states Joe Elliott. “We’re aiming to make a serious leap forward with the next album and I’m proud to be able to contribute to the next chapter in the BSR story.”
BLACK STAR RIDERS guitarist Damon Johnson adds: “We are all excited about working with Joe; he is like part of the family. And recording this album in Ireland is a special treat for us.”

Let’s start with…
SKID ROW
The iconic hair metal band Skid Row will play Wacken for the first time. Skid Row set new standards with their debut in 1990: 5 million records were sold only in the USA. And even before, the band was successful playing shows with bands like Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi or Ozzy Osbourne.
At the end of the 90s, the band split up for a few years. But they are back! The last Skid Row release EP “United World Rebellion: Chapter One” was released earlier this year and soon the second chapter will hit the streets!
During a recent Austrian tour stop – in support of their new EP United World Rebellion Chapter One – SKID ROW‘s Rachel Bolan conducted an interview with Mulatschag TV, which can be seen below:
The remainder of Skid Row’s 2013 live itinerary is as follows:
According to Blabbermouth.net, Fan-filmed video footage of SKID ROW‘s entire October 1 concert in Jakarta, Indonesia can be seen below.
SKID ROW‘s latest EP, “United World Rebellion – Chapter One”, was released in Europe on May 24 via Germany’s UDR Music. The European version of the EP includes two bonus tracks, both of them cover tunes: “Fire Fire” (EZO) and “United” (JUDAS PRIEST).
“United World Rebellion – Chapter One” sold around 1,500 copies in the Unted States in its first week of release. Released in North America on April 16 via MRI, the effort is the first in a series of EPs that the reincarnated band — Dave “Snake” Sabo (guitar), Rachel Bolan (bass), Scotti Hill (guitar), Johnny Solinger (vocals) and Rob Hammersmith (drums) — plans to release in the near future.
