TANK: Sign Record Deal With Metal Mind Productions

Metal Mind Productions have announced the extension of the recording deal with the British heavy metal legend – TANK.
Comments the label:
Through the years, we have re-released the band’s back catalogue and released their recent albums “War Machine” (2010) and “War Nation” (2012). TANK’s forthcoming yet untitled album is planned for March 2015.
The band’s current line-up includes:
Cliff Evans – guitars
Mick Tucker – guitars
ZP Theart (Dragonforce) – vocals
Bobby Schottkowski (Sodom) – drums
Barend Courbois (Blind Guardian) – bass guitar
Cliff Evans, TANK’s guitarist, comments:
“We are very pleased to announce that we will be continuing our successful relationship with Metal Mind Productions who will be releasing our new studio album planned for March 2015. Since originally signing with Metal Mind in 2009, they have released two of our best selling and most critically acclaimed albums ‘War Machine’ and ‘War Nation’ and were instrumental in the production of our very first official DVD ‘War Machine Live’. We enjoy working with an established metal label that understands what needs to be done to make a successful album release and we look forward to many more future collaborations.
After our recent successful tour of Brazil, we’re excited to be heading into the studio with our new band members to start creating and laying down some serious metal tracks.
Joining Mick Tucker and myself on the new album will be Vocalist ‘ZP Theart (Dragonforce), Drummer ‘Bobby Schottkowski’ (Sodom) and Bassist ‘Barend Courbois’ (Blind Guardian). These guys are the ‘Big Guns’ who will help to push the limits of Tank to a new level. Their pedigree speaks for itself. We’ll soon be announcing the album title along with studio updates and teasers.
We will also have the pleasure of playing songs from the new album for the very first time at our performance on the ‘70,000 Tons of Metal’ cruise in January 2015. European shows and festivals are now being scheduled for the new year and we will also be returning to South America later in 2015.

TANK: Announce First Ever Brazilian Dates For June 2014

tank_brazil 2014Legendary heavy metal outfit TANK has recently announced dates for a short headline tour of Brazil. Billed as the Brazilian Assault Tour this will be the band’s first ever visit to South America. Dates are as follows:

05/06 – Brasilia – DF
06/06 – Belém – PA
07/06 – Fortaleza – CE
08/06 – São Paulo – SP

Joining long term TANK members Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans on the tour will be some very special guests.
Original Dragonforce vocalist ZP Theart will be fronting the band and this will be his first time back in Brazil since leaving Dragonforce. On drums will be former Sodom drummer Bobby Schottkowski and Barend Courbois of Blind Guardian will be handling the bass.

Mick Tucker: “We take our metal very seriously. We always aim to give the fans the best show possible. You can only do that by having the best musicians. These guys really know what they’re doing when it comes to metal. Experience is everything. It’s in our blood.”

Cliff Evans: “We’ve been lucky enough to have worked with some of the best names in rock. Our last two albums, ‘War Machine’ and ‘War Nation’, featured former Rainbow and current Michael Schenker vocalist Doogie White. They were two of our most successful albums and Doogie will be joining us again later in the summer for some shows in Europe. We’re fortunate to be able to draw from this pool of amazing musicians who are more than happy to be a part of the Tank experience. We’re really looking forward to bringing the show to Brazil.”

European dates will be announced soon and the band will be returning to the studio later this year to record the follow up to ‘War Nation’ which will be released through Metal Mind Productions.

TANK: Announce ZP THEART To Join For 2013 Shows

British metallers TANK have announced via their official website and facebook page, that former DRAGONFORCE frontman ZP Theart will be joining the band on stage for the rest of the year, while Doogie White is on tour and recording with Michael Schenker. Here is what the various band members had to say:

“We are very pleased to announce that while Doogie White is out on tour and recording in the studio with Michael Schenker’s ‘Temple of Rock’ , we will have the pleasure of being joined on stage for all our 2013 shows by our good friend and former Dragonforce frontman ‘ZP Theart’. ”

MICK TUCKER –
“We thrive on bringing fresh blood into the band. It gives us a good kick in the ass and breathes new life into our songs. We’ve worked very hard over the past few years and have been rewarded with the success of our ‘War Machine’ and ‘War Nation’ albums and the release of our first official DVD ‘War Machine Live’.
Bringing in a world class vocalist like ‘ZP’ is a great privilege for us and a real treat for metal fans.”

CLIFF EVANS –
“Mick and me have been playing together for a long time. We know what we want when it comes to making good music. We’re very proud of the albums we made with Doogie’s and the response we received from the fans and press has proved that we are a band that can deliver the goods when it comes to it.
We’ve been rehearsing with ZP this week and we can’t wait to get on stage and do what we do best. Play British rock/metal the way it should be played.”

ZP will be on tour with his own band ‘I AM I’ supporting SKID ROW on their UK tour from April 4th – April 13th and will also be appearing at this years Download festival on June 15th.

TANK: ‘War Nation’ Video Released

British power metal mercenaries TANK — featuring Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans on guitar alongside ex-RAINBOW/YNGWIE MALMSTEEN frontman Doogie White and ex-BRUCE DICKINSON bassist Chris Dale and former HELLOWEEN drummer Mark Cross — will release a new DVD, “War Machine Live”, on November 12 in Europe via Metal Mind Productions and December 11 in the USA through MVD. The set will feature live performances filmed on March 9, 2012 at Stodola in Warsaw, Poland and August 10, 2011 at Metal Hammer Festival  in Katowice, Poland, plus band interviews, on-the-road footage and the promotional video for “War Nation”, the title track of the band’s most recent studio album.

The band plans to promote the DVD on a tour in Europe in December.

TANK: More DVD Details Revealed

Tonight’s (Friday, March 9) concert by legendary British power metal mercenaries TANK — featuring Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans on guitar alongside ex-RAINBOW/YNGWIE MALMSTEEN frontman Doogie White and ex-BRUCE DICKINSON bassist Chris Dale and drummer Steve Hopgood — at Stodola in Warsaw, Poland will be professionally recorded and filmed for the band’s fist official live DVD, to be released later in the year via Metal Mind Productions.

Commented Evans: “We’re really looking forward to making our first ever official TANK live DVD. It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time and gives us the chance to show our fans around the world what a TANK show is all about. The DVD will include old favorites such as ‘This Means War’, ‘Echoes Of A Distant Battle’ and ‘Power Of The Hunter’ plus future classics such as ‘Judgement Day’ and ‘Phoenix Rising’ plus many more. Get ready for ‘War Machine Live!’ DVD.”

Apart from the material recorded in Warsaw, the DVD will also contain footage of TANK‘s appearance at Metal Hammer Festival (August 10, 2011 in Katowice, Poland), a warm-up gig in Chorzów (March 8, 2012), along with interviews with bandmembers and other bonus material.

TANK recently entered the studio to begin recording their new album, “War Nation”, for a June 5 release via MVD (one day earlier in Europe through Metal Mind Productions). The follow-up to 2010’s “War Machine” is being helmed by new hotshot producer Phil Kinman at his west London studios.

TANK‘s most recent album, “War Machine”, was released on October 25, 2010 in Europe via Metal Mind Productions (December 7, 2010 in the U.S. through MVD). The production was handled by Pedro Ferreira (THE DARKNESS, THERAPY?, MEAT LOAF) and the bulk of the recording was done at Pedrock Studios in London. Drums were laid down by Tony Newton at Steve Harris‘ (IRON MAIDEN) Barnyard Studios.
