Jarkko Ahola of the Finnish metal groups TERÄSBETONI and NORTHERN KINGS sang in front of 20,000 ice hockey fans in Oulu, Finland on May 25. The event honored and celebrated the ice hockey players from Oulu area, who played in the national team which recently won the world championship. The atmosphere was great and the noise reached almost 120dB as the fans cheered their heroes.

Finnish metal quintet MORS SUBITA will release its debut album, “Human Waste Compression”, this summer via an as-yet-undetermined record label. According to a press release, the CD will contain “11 tracks of d aggressive, melodic and groovy metal.” A video for the album’s opening track, “The Sermon”, can be viewed below. The clip was directed by Jukka Vidgren.
