XANDER DEMOS To Contribute All-star Track To Queen Tribute Album

Renowned metal guitar virtuoso, Xander Demos (Sabbath Judas Sabbath, XDB) is happy to announce he will contrbute a track to the upcoming QUEEN tribute album, “We Will Rock You”. Xander will record a cover of the Queen classic, “I Want It All”. The album will be released in late 2015 on Versailles Records.

Xander is also being prominently featured on the upcoming Versailles Records release, Guitar Wizards Vol. 3 and 4, expected for early 2015 release. The album will feature some of the biggest names in rock and metal guitar, including current/former lead guitarists fromFaith No More, Megadeth, Ozzy Osbourne Band, Kiss, Whitesnake, Guns N Roses, KISS, Poison, Alice Cooper Band, and the great Jeff Healey.

“We’re very excited about Xander’s involvement with this upcoming Queen tribute,” said Xander’s manager, Michael Stover of MTS Management Group. “Xander is a huge Queen fan, and when I approached him about it, he said ‘yes’ before I could even finish my sentence!  ‘I Want It All’ is such an iconic Queen song, and we’re thrilled to be given the chance to record it.  We’re already in talks with several other well-known rockers to be a part of this track.  I don’t want to give any names away yet, but I know everyone will be blown away once we announce them.  Stay tuned for more!”

Xander Demos is a rock and metal guitarist, based in Pittsburgh, PA. He has performed and recorded with James Rivera (Helstar, Malice), Sabbath Judas Sabbath, Liberty N’ Justice, Ged Rylands’ Rage Of Angels, Modern Superstar, and others. His debut album, Guitarcadia was mixed by CJ Snare of Firehouse, and it received mass critical praise. Xander will release his follow up, Runways and Waterways in late 2014/early 2015.  He will appear in the 2015 metal movie release, “Hair I Go Again,” featuring members of Motley Crue, RATT, Quiet Riot, Anthrax, Warrant, Stryper and many others. A special 10 Year Anniversary documentary on the QUEEN musical, We Will Rock You, will be broadcast this Sunday, May 13th, at the following times:

– 2 PM – National Smooth Radio
– 7 PM – GMG’s Real XS Rock Stations
– 6 PM – GMG ‘s Real Radio network
– 1 PM – Spectrum FM network around coastal Spain plus Tenerife

QUEEN’s ‘We Will Rock You’ Musical Celebrating 10th Anniversary

West End smash hit musical “We Will Rock You” has announced the on-sale date of tickets for its upcoming special tenth anniversary celebration show which will take place at the Dominion Theatre, London, on Monday, May 14.

Created by Ben Elton and QUEEN, the musical opened at the Dominion on May 14, 2002, and has since earned itself a place in the top ten of the West End’s longest running musicals in a list which includes “Phantom Of The Opera”, “Les Misérables” and “The Lion King”.

Tickets for the tenth-anniversary special show, which for this night will have an earlier start time of 7:00 p.m., are on sale from 10.00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, and include a limited number of special priority seats. Ticket application details follow below.

“We Will Rock You”‘s continuing popular appeal was most recently highlighted when nine years after it opened, it won the 2011 Olivier Audience Award for “Best Musical,” the only award voted entirely by the public. This is the second award received by public vote, following on from the WhatsOnStage.com “Best New Musical” award the show received in 2003.

In its ten-year run, “We Will Rock You” has built a fiercely loyal following across all ages with some fans having visited the show more than 400 times, couples have met and married through the show, and when QUEEN‘s Brian May himself popped up in the box office to personally hand over the 1 millionth ticket purchased (September 22, 2003), it was a 61-year-old grandmother who was buying the ticket to treat her 4-year-old great grandson to see the show. And what other show could boast Beyoncé, Britney Spears and Pink in the house on the same night, or other celebrity fans such as Demi Moore, Priscilla Presley, and Liza Minnelli, as well as a certain famous British actress who has slipped in to see the show 17 times.

The show has now been seen by over 6 million people at the Dominion and 13 million around the world.

While no one is yet issuing a list of what special guests might be expected in the audience or possibly even on stage come the night of May 14, with the credentials of creators QUEEN and Ben Elton and its producers, which include Robert de Niro, there’s reason to believe in finding signs of scorched earth around the site of the Dominion Theatre the day after.
