XANDER DEMOS Announces Track Listing For New EP Release

Following a brief hiatus, renowned metal guitar virtuoso, Xander Demos (James Rivera, Sabbath Judas Sabbath, XDB) has announced the track listing for his upcoming EP release, scheduled for late spring.  Tentatively titled, “Runways and Waterways”, the EP will feature six tracks, including two original instrumentals, two original vocal tracks, and two vocal covers. It is the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut, Guitarcadia (Rock ‘n’ Growl Records.)  The track listing reads:

Guest vocalists will be announced in the near future, along with mixing engineer(s). Like Guitarcadia, Demos is producing the tracks in his Shark’s Nest studios.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Xander Demos has recorded and performed with James Rivera’s Sabbath Judas Sabbath, Ged Rylands’ Rage of Angels, Liberty ‘N’ Justice, Modern Superstar, James Rivera’s solo band, and others. He has also performed at the past three NAMM Metal Jams, with some of the biggest names in metal. Xander will also appear in the upcoming metal movie, Hair I Go Again. Xander has performed at Skull Fest, Wolf Fest, Warriors of Metal and Rock Harvest II, and other notable metal festival events.  His track, “Dancing Through Daggers” (mixed by JK Northrup of XYZ/King Kobra) appeared on the Versailles Records compilation release, Guitar Wizards Vol. 3 and 4, alongside members of Kiss, Poison, Whitesnake, and others. Xander is also scheduled to appear on the Versailles Records Queen Tribute album.  His album, Guitarcadia was mixed by CJ Snare of Firehouse, and it was named as one of the best albums of 2012, by major publications.

MTS Management Group is happy to announce Xander Demos has been named “Best Guitarist” in the 2014 Iron City Rocks Pittsburgh Music Awards (PMA). This is Xander’s second consecutive PMA win for “Best Guitarist.”   Winners of the fifth annual awards were announced earlier this week, with the exception of the Hall of Fame Award, which Xander won last year.  Other winners includeStage AE (Best Venue), Drusky Entertainment (Best Promoter) and Chip Dimonick (Best Punk Band.)

Five nominees in each category were voted on by fans from around the world, with the nominee receiving the most votes being named the winner. MTS Management Group is proud to announce that Xander Demos and his Xander Demos Band (XDB) bandmates have received a total of six nominations in the 2014 Iron City Rocks Pittsburgh Music Awards. XDB has received nominations in the following band categories: Best Rock Band and Best Progressive Band.  In individual categories, Xander received a nomination for Best Guitarist, for which he won the award, last year. This is Xander’s fourth nomination as Best Guitarist. Xander’s XDB bandmates received nominations in the following individual categories: Best Bassist, Dan Bozym; Best Keyboards, Jeff Morris; and  Best Drummer, Jeff Anzelone. All of Xander’s bandmates won their individual categories’ awards last year.  Xander was also named to the Iron City Rocks “Hall Of Fame” last year.

Nominations for the Iron City Rocks Pittsburgh Music Awards opened at the beginning of December, and closed at the end of the month. The final ballot is comprised of the top 5 acts receiving the most nominations in each category. Voting for the winners is now open until January 23, 2015. Votes may be cast at this location.  Only one vote per valid email address will be counted.

Renowned metal guitar virtuoso, Xander Demos (Sabbath Judas Sabbath, XDB) has announced his performance schedule for the upcoming NAMM Convention in Anaheim, CA. Xander will perform at the Mission Engineering booth from Thursday, January 22nd through Sunday, January 25th, 2015, at 1pm daily. Xander, who is an “Artist on a Mission” endorsed artist, will show off his shredding skills, while demonstrating the latest gear from Mission Engineering.  The NAMM Convention will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Avenue in Anaheim.  For more information on the NAMM Convention, visit http://www.namm.org.

Versailles Records have revealed the artwork for their upcoming Guitar Wizards Vol. III and IV compilation. The cover features artists Bruce Kulick (KISS), Tony Franklin (Whitesnake/The Firm), Jeff Healey, Tracy G (Dio), Chris Poland (Megadeth), Blues Saraceno (Poison), Xander Demos (Sabbath Judas Sabbath/XDB) and other included guitar players. The album is scheduled for digital release before Christmas. Physical copies will have a February 2015 street date.  Guitar Wizards Vol. I and II was released earlier this year.

“We’re very honored to have Xander Demos featured on the cover, alongside some of the most incredible guitar players in rock and metal,” said Demos’ manager, Michael Stover of MTS Management Group.  “This compilation has been a long time in the making, and we’re very excited for it to finally be coming out.  It’s sure to be a huge success!”

Xander Demos and his band, XDB (renamed Raxus Prime) contributed the track, “Dancing Through Daggers,” which was to be the first single from their debut album.  The track was mixed by JK Northrup (King Kobra/XYZ). Xander will also be contributing an all-star track to the Versailles Records Queen tribute album, also scheduled for 2015 release.

Metal guitar virtuoso, Xander Demos is being featured among 52 artists on the newly released compilation from Online Metal Promo and the Heavy Metal Mayhem Radio Show, From the Underground to the Above Ground Vol. 1. The free compilation includes a mix of 52 current, advanced and unreleased original songs from established and up and coming bands from the United States, UK, Canada, Australia, Brazil and France. Acts include Ron Keel, Nitro, Benedictum, Oblivion, Reverence, Sparta and more.  The compilation is available for free download at this location. 

Xander Demos has contributed his track, “Under A Darkened Sky,” which originally appeared on his critically acclaimed album, Guitarcadia. The track was mixed by CJ Snare of Firehouse, and features vocals from Kevin Rasel, who cowrote the song with Demos.

Xander will also contribute tracks to the upcoming Versailles Records compilation releases, Guitar Wizards Vol. 3 and 4 and We Will Rock You: A Tribute To Queen.
