Dark Alternative Rock band BEHIND YOUR FEAR (aka ByF) has revealed the first song and video “Wintersun” from their upcoming debut album, entitled “Ophelia”. The album was mixed and mastered by Mr Marcel Sude. Watch “Wintersun” here:

“A life without music? Unimaginable! The idea behind founding BEHIND YOUR FEAR (aka ByF) was, to provide a new possibility for the unmistakable voice of Stefanie (ex-Flowing Tears), to create the perfect setting for the unique musical style; as well as the impossibility to live without music. The first riffs were written quickly, nevertheless we took the necessary time to find the right musicians; Scorpios (Crimson Moon, ex-Melechesh) and Michael (e.g. studio drummer on two Dornenreich records) that would help develop our own, unique sound; to write songs and merge all of the necessary ingredients into a perfect symbiosis. Each song is purely dictated by the inner feeling, and because of this aspect; the songs range from fragile and intimate piano parts to complete walls of sound, enveloping every sense. WINTERSUN Announce EU “By Request” Headline Shows

Epic metallers WINTERSUN played their first “by request” shows in Finland last month, where their fans could vote the set list for each concert. Due to their great reception, the band has now decided to play a couple of select “by request” headline shows outside of their home country in August and November (Austria, Germany & the Netherlands). All dates are below.

Of the upcoming “by request” shows the band comments:

“There’s a separate setlist poll for each show and fans planning to attend the shows can vote for any songs from the first three WINTERSUN albums. To make it work, please follow the instructions below:

– Select the Facebook Event and go to the discussion for the poll.
– Vote only, if you are planning to attend the show.
– Give ONE vote for each song you’d like to hear.
– Give votes to 10 songs maximum.”

Finnish epic metallers WINTERSUN are set to unleash their long-awaited third studio album “The Forest Seasons”, next week through Nuclear Blast. Additionally, the live album »Wintersun live @ Tuska Festival 2013« will be released on vinyl on the same day. Last week, the Finnish kings of epic melodic death, WINTERSUN, announced their crowdfunding campaign that will start on March 1rst and allows the fans to secure their ‘Forest Package’ – also including their upcoming studio album “The Forest Seasons” – directly from the band. With the collected amount, front man Jari Mäenpää plans to build his own studio that would finally allow him to record his long-awaited album “Time II“.
Today, WINTERSUN unveil the cover artwork of their third album “The Forest Seasons“.

We’re proud to show you guys our NEW 3rd full lenght album cover! The album cover was made in collaboration by Gyula Havancsák and Jari Mäenpää. It illustrates THE AWAKENING of a mystical forest where the seasons are merging together.
