Swedish WOLVERINE has issued the following update:
Finally the day has come for Communication Lost to be released. It’s an album that almost never was since in fact Wolverine was very close to call it a day a while after our previous album, Still, was released. We did however sort things out and came to the conclusion that we love this band too much to quit. During the last couple of years we’ve been hard at work writing and recording Communication Lost. The result is an album that we are extremely proud of. It holds some of our best songs ever and in a way it’s the most important record we’ve ever writtten since it helped heal the band to be able to carry on.
We sincerely hope you will love the album as much as we do and that we’ll see you all out on tour some day.
Following are some places where you can buy the album:
Communication Lost is also available on Itunes for all of you who’s looking for a digital release. We’ll post a track-by-track breakdown of the album in the coming days. The album will be out in USA on June 21, 2011.

Swedish progressive rock band WOLVERINE will release its new studio album, “Communication Lost”, on May 23 in Europe via Candlelight Records.
The CD was recorded at various locations in Sweden between February and August 2010. It was mixed by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark in July/August 2010 and mastered by Eroc at Eroc’s Mastering Ranch in Germany in December 2010/January 2011.
“Communication Lost”, which was produced by the band, features 11 tracks and has a running time of approximately 70 minutes:
02. Into The Great Nothing
03. Poison Ivy
04. Your Favourite War
07. What Remains
08. In Memory Of Me
09. In The Quiet Of Dawn
10. Communication Lost
11. A Beginning
Lyrically, the album deals with personal issues the band and the individual members experienced during the four years WOLVERINE spent composing the material. The result is a melodic and moody metal album which feels like a natural progression from “Still”, which was released in 2006.
The “Communication Lost” cover artwork was designed by Marcus Losbjer (drums) while Thomas Jansson (bass) contributed to it with “great photos.”
Swedish progressive metallers WOLVERINE recently finished mixing their long-awaited new album, “Communication Lost”, with Danish producer Jacob Hansen at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark for a tentative early 2011 release. The band states, “The album is right now being mastered by Eroc. Because of administrative problems, from our label’s end, the recording got stuck at Jacob Hansen’s studio for quite some time so we didn’t start mastering until December instead of September, which was the original plan.
“The actual mastering has been taking a while because we’ve been sending ideas back and forth on different approaches to the album’s overall sound. We came to a conclusion about a week ago but then came Christmas and the holidays. We can only hope that you all understand we’re taking this long because we want the album to be perfect when it finally does come out.”
