For the release of “Molly Maguires”, Tuatha de Danann has created new interactions with the fans through the “Supportive Download” and the “Play along” session. By these actions the fans will be able to download song, the Karaoke version and the art covers with the lyrics and chords. The proposal is to encourage the audience to play the song with the band and support the group’s work with the symbolic amount of R$5,00.
“It is a conscious way to valorize your favorite artist and purchase the song legally. In these pandemic times, the artistic sector was one of the most affected because the concerts were called off and without them we must seek alternatives to keep working. The support of the fans and friends is crucial at the moment” says the keyboardist Edgar Brito.
The song “Molly Maguires” is part of the Traditional Irish Songbook, the arrangements were adaptations created by the vocalist and guitarist Bruno Maia.
“This song is a classic of the traditional, rebel Irish songbook and we have put some punk vibes on it to give a little more dynamic, we added a “Reel” in the middle to let it even more interesting. The Reel, in other words, is a rhythm of the tradicional Irish music”, the Reel referred by the musician is “The Fermony Lasses Reel”, inserted as an incidental song at 1:45 min of the single. In the recording of “The Moly Maguires” Tuatha de Danann gathered internacional guests featuring Keith Fay of the Celtic Metal band Cruachan and the fiddler Kane O’Rourke an expert in traditional Irish music that has released CDs worldwide.
The production was in charge of Bruno Maia and the mixing and mastering done by Cello Oliveira. Another special guest in “The Molly Maguires” is the illustrator, musician and university professor Edgar Franco, that had already worked with Tuatha doing the lyric video for “Your Wall Shall Fall” from the album “Tribes Of The Witching Souls”. The design of the digital cover art is from the advertising editor Rodrigo “Monstrão” Barbieri. The final edition of the new lyric video was made by Raoni Silva Joseph.
The new Tuatha De Danann’s album is scheduled to be released in the second half of this year. “To make this release possible we have launched a crowdfunding campaign “Eu Apoio” with many retributions to the supporters. This album is an special project and different from our previous catalog, in this album we pay a tribute straight to this music and culture that inspire and motivate us” explains Bruno Maia. Besides the Keybordist Edgar Brito and Bruno Maia, the current line-up counts with the bassist Giovanni Gomes, the drummer Rafael Ávila, acting as a guest during the recordings and the live shows.
