Mexican post-black metal act THE DEPRESSICK are finally back with their brand new, second full-length album titled “Faded.exe”, a gut-wrenching musical journey. The album will be released on July 19th 2024 via Tragedy Productions/End My Life Records.
The record shows a broadening in the scope in their sound, packing in even more brooding melodies, eerie howls, whirlwind drumming, and a tightening of the band’s signature songwriting chops. Constantly maintaining the subtle balance between light and melancholy, soaring atmospherics and granite riffs, THE DESPRESSICK deliver their sonic rebirth in fifty minutes of a grippingly emotional experience.
“Faded.exe” definitely marks another step forward for the band, incorporating new suggestions into their visceral sound that bleeds raw emotion.
The first single “Greywave” is now streaming HERE.
THE DEPRESSICK is a Mexican Post-DSBM band formed in 2013. Based in Nezahualcoyotl a densely populated and historically impoverished suburb of Mexico City with considerable stigma attached to it. The “negativity, misery, poverty, sickness and filth” of their environment contributes to their music’s bleakness.

Musician and performance artist Skye Dahlreleases her uncompromising electro-rock single and Viking-inspired video for “Hypokrit” out today, with a future full-length album to follow between Fall of 2024 and 2025.
The longest day of the year in Sweden. Midsummer. A time to welcome the summer solstice in a perpetual dance around the maypole. An esoteric night for magick, fertility, high energy. “Hypokrit,” a proud, banging vibe issued in time for this year’s Pagan-based carnival lived vicariously by the likes of Swedish-bred proto-glam rocker, Skye Dahl.
The rancorous, swaggering “Hypokrit,” written by Skye (full name Dahlstrom) and instrumentalized by Justin Piwetz, was produced and mixed by Kvir Gov at Evil Snail Studios, co-produced by Steve Phillips at Full Fidelity Studios and mastered by Maor Appelbaum.
Picture yourself on one of the 30,000 islands encased within the Stockholm archipelago, cavorting to an electro-based stomp and clap groove and multilayered, self-call-and-answer vocals blended and dubbed with snarls and swoons by the same artist. You’re swinging it to Skye Dahl’s swagger (dropped partly in English, the lexicon of her lineage spooled across a sharply planted breakdown) in “Hypokrit.” From her ancestral Kalmar to the Medieval fortifications of Visby, Skye is intent on courting Sweden as readily as the United States and destinations beyond.
Dahl elaborates, “When you listen to ‘Hypokrit,’ I want you to feel your inner Viking roar to life, ready to conquer anything. There’s nothing more rock ‘n roll than defying the status quo. Vikings epitomize that rebellious spirit. I want you to feel powerful, unstoppable and badass as you channel the fierce legacy of the Vikings through my music.”
Legacy. Birthright. These are the cornerstones to Dahl’s craft and she utilizes “Hypokrit” as a platform to honor her Scandinavian roots. “It’s a tribute to my grandfather and the indomitable spirit of my ancestors,” she proclaims. “From the get-go, I knew the song had to feature the Swedish language to make my grandfather proud. Inspired by Norwegian, Icelandic and Swedish artists, I wove traditional sounds and instruments into the track, creating a song that transcends mere music to tell a story of identity, strength and raw resilience.”
Skye advises “Hypokrit” is more than a mere cultural comeuppance. She states, “It’s a brutal cautionary tale about the dangers of hypocrisy. Whether it’s lying to yourself or deceiving others, hypocrisy leads only to ruin and destruction.”
As a recipient of Austin City’s coveted Live Music Grant, Dahl funded and structured the filming of the “Hypokrit” video. The minifilm’s stark visuals hail to the Norse goddess of the underworld, Hel, to Siouxsie Sioux. Speaking about the video for “Hypokrit,” Skye gleams, “I wanted everyone’s jaws to be on the floor and every visual to slap you in the face. Musically and visually, it is by far the coolest thing I’ve created to date. I told my Director of Photography we have to top this video on the next one.
About Skye Dahl:
Leather and mesh meet fishnets, purple satin and studs, where Maria Brink, Doro Pesch, Prince and Bowie collide under one amalgamated grinning soul. Iron Age Gaga meets Rob Halford meets A Flock of Seagulls. And they ran. They ran so far away toward a beckoning limelight cast from The Sundance Festival and an opening slot for Theory of a Deadman.
Self-described as “Glam rock with Michael Jackson sprinkled on top,” Skye Dahl culls her flamboyant persona from a diverse assemblage of personalities aside from Jackson (whose repertoire she impersonated ravenously growing up) like Ann Wilson of Heart, Prince, the late Freddie Mercury of Queen and former Skid Row frontman, Sebastian Bach.
Born in Camano Island, Washington, now based in Austin, Texas, Skye Dahl slings a provocative harlequinade of punk, metal, Goth, new wave and New Jack Swing into her shock cabaret. Her exposition skills were built through theater and choreography, leaving an indelible mark upon productions of Sweeney Todd, Guys and Dolls and Carrie: The Musical.
Dahl transitioned into music where she seeks to blow the scene apart with her dramaturgical performance art. Her craft was momentarily put on the side due to family obligations, yet those trials and getting in tune with her Swedish heritage laid a significant foundation to Skye’s transfixing persona.
“I found my Swedish Grandfather,” Dahl notes, “and was also able to meet a ton of family on his side. It was a beautiful thing, because I felt a little more whole knowing them, if that makes any sense. I was able to hear and see just how beautiful Swedish people are. I learned to be proud of where you come from and those who have sacrificed so much for you to exist.”
In an era where the essence of black metal has been diluted by the sands of time and commercial ambition, GRAVENOIRE stands as the unyielding monument to its original, uncompromising spirit. Today, the Frenchmen are proud to announce their much-anticipated debut album, Devant La Porte Des Étoiles, with its first beacon: “France de l’Ombre”.
Gravenoire come forged in the sacred fires of artistic rebellion and spiritual awakening, bound by their shared lineage with Anorexia Nervosa, BÂ’A, Diablation and others amidst the pantheon of black metal elites. The French band channel the raw, unfiltered energies of spectral and earthly realms. Devant La Porte Des Étoiles serves as a tome, inscribed with the ink of defiance and the undying lust for transcendence, guiding listeners through forgotten paths under a starlit dome.
Crafted in the crucible of raw emotion and shrouded mysteries, “France de l’Ombre” is a declaration, a ritualistic embrace of the shadows that define existence. On their first single, Gravenoire dive deep into the heart of darkness, resurrecting the primordial sounds of 90’s black metal with the unique mystical essence that courses through the band’s veins. It’s a journey back to the roots, back to a time when music was a gateway to the primal and the arcane.

GRAVENOIRE was formed in early 2022 by Maximilien Brigliadori (BÂ’A, Diablation, former Hyrgal), Emmanuel Zuccaro (BÂ’A, Verfallen, former Hyrgal), Vicomte Vampyr Arkames (Diablation (former Seth / Ad-Inferna) and RMS Hreidmarr(Glaciation, BÂ’A, former Anorexia Nervosa / The CNK), with the clear intention of reconnecting with their past and a somewhat uncompromising vision of ’90s Black Metal.
The band’s first album, “Devant la porte des étoiles“, was recorded live on rehearsal, with no tracking, no triggers, no click track, no artifice. No compromise with reality, for it is through it and by it that we foresee other dimensions.
GRAVENOIRE is not, however, merely nostalgic or backward-looking; it’s a project deeply rooted in its native lands, in their popular as well as spiritual and mystical traditions, drawing its essence from sacred places, cosmic architecture and primordial telluric forces. “The cosmos is a revolving door”.
delving, the instrumental psych-kraut-prog-rock project headed by Nicholas DiSalvo (best known as frontman of Elder) has finally revealed new details about its forthcoming, sophomore studio offering!“All Paths Diverge” will be released on August 23, 2024, as two Vinyl editionsvia Stickman Records (EU) and Blues Funeral Recordings (US). Album pre-orders are now available, and a music video for the first, stellar album single “Zodiak” is now premiering below!
“All Paths Diverge has many faces and facets, and Zodiak shows some of the most progressive and heavy sides of the record.”DiSalvo comments.“Note that this is only an abridged version and the full album version contains minutes more of ambiance! I probably worked on Zodiak for a few years off and on and I think each part of the track reflects a moment in time, a portion of the year, a segment of the zodiac.”
After a decade and a half as frontman of the seminal progressive psychedelic quartet Elder, DiSalvo founded delving as a secondary outlet to express musical ideas that didn’t fit in the paradigm of his main band. Exploring instrumental music with a heavy focus on psychedelic rock, krautrock, early electronic music as well as ambient sounds, delving still showcases the evocative melodies and unique songwriting which are his trademarks.
The debut album “Hirschbrunnen” was recorded in the pandemic years where touring was brought to a grinding halt, allowing time to finally pick up song fragments and ideas collected over years and coalesce them into an album. Positive reception led to the foundation of a live band, which has crystalized in the lineup of DiSalvo, guitarist Michael Risberg (Elder, Weite), bassist Ingwer Boysen (Weite, High Fighter) and Uno Bruniusson (Maggot Heart, ex-Death Alley).
“All Paths Diverge” is delving’s second full-length and was composed – unlike its pandemic predecessor – in between time on tour and in studio with Elder. Culled once more from an ever-expanding songbook of ideas, the album’s seven lengthy tracks are a snapshot of DiSalvo’s current musical interests and love of sound exploration and remain evasive of genre confines. Intended as a subtle rebuff of the old adage “all roads lead to Rome”, the album title “All Paths Diverge” asserts that change is inevitable and nothing set in stone.
DiSalvo adds: “While looking back on the songs I wrote for this record over the past years, I was struck by how much has changed in my life and in the world since the first delving album came about in the height of the pandemic. This music is for me nostalgic and every part in each song brings back a memory of where I was at when writing it. I think it’s a very diverse album and that in itself a reflection of the fact that we’re all in flux, and that that’s a beautiful thing.”

Germany-based melodic death metal unit DELIVER THE GALAXY have inked a worldwide deal with Massacre Records, who will proudly release the band’s forthcoming studio album, entitled “Bury Your Gods”, on August 30, 2024! A video clip for the first album single “Live.Die.Repeat” is now streaming below!
“We are super happy to be part of the MASSACRE RECORDS family now.“The band states.“At the same time, we want to tell you that we have been busy and have made a new album for you which will be released on August 30th, 2024. Of course we also want to present the whole thing to you live. We will be going on tour with the mighty Asenblut starting at the end of August as support.”
About the song, the band tells us: “The song lyrics depict the endless suffering and despair of an individual trapped in a grueling cycle of living, dying, and repeating. The dark atmosphere is intensified by describing pain, torment, and unquenchable fire within the protagonist’s self.”
“Bury Your Gods” marks the third studio album by DELIVER THE GALAXY, who are hailing from the Harz region in Germany. The album was mixed and mastered by André Hofmann at Hofmann Studios, and delves deep into the world of pre-astronautics, introducing the exciting idea that humanity is not alone in the universe. It discusses the thesis that an alien race visited earth during the time of the ancient Sumerians and shared their knowledge and technology of various pyramid constructions.
Compared to their previous releases, the band adopted a heavier sound, offering listeners an intense musical experience, yet on some tracks showcasing the clear singing abilities of vocalist Matthias Mente for the very first time. One can be sure, “Bury Your Gods” will stand out as one of the most powerful albums the band has ever created! Pre-order your album copy now at https://lnk.to/buryyourgods
