Emerging UK progressive rock band KNIM have unveiled the lyric video for their song “The Incongruity of I.” This captivating track is part of their EP, “When A Star Falls,” set to make a triumphant return via Wormholedeath.
Created during the unique period of lockdown restrictions, “The Incongruity Of I” is a testament to the boundless creativity of guitarist Dennis Berry and drummer Peter Nicholson. Their collaborative journey began with home instrument recordings, which they ingeniously transformed into this sonic gem. The lyric video invites you into the heart of their musical world, where every word and note is a portal to another dimension.
Knim, born amidst the restrictions of COVID-19, blossomed from the creative minds of Dennis Berry and Peter Nicholson. Their original vision intertwined heavy riffs, intricate time changes, and progressive structures. As their sonic journey unfolded, they embraced atmospheric synths and lyrics that spin tales of fantasy. Taurus Inferno was born in 2016 from the collaboration of Camillo Venturi on guitar and vocals along with Stefano “Zven” Doretti on drums.
Later, Antonio Ghisu was added on bass, closing the lineup into a classic trio in “old school heavy metal” style.
Indeed, this is the style that the Tuscan trio tries to pursue. Pieces that hark back to classic English and European heavy bands of the 1980s such as Black Sabbath, Venom, Mercyful Fate, just to name three.
Even the way of playing and recording the pieces have well-defined lines that avoid the use of modern instrumentation and current sounds, preferring live recordings and minimal use of effects for both guitar and bass. Lots of amplifier “gain” and a hint of chorus when needed, everything else is superfluous to ensure a direct and deliberately “dirty” sound to refer precisely to sounds of yesteryear.
English lyrics and rather obscure riffs create an atmosphere that at times harks back to early Celtic Frost, at other times to early Venom, always, however, with a fairly defined melodic line because in any case the songs must always be “catchy” .
The production of the first album containing eight tracks was rather quick, taking into account that the songs were all written and recorded in 2021, in fact although the lineup has been around since 2016, the three had suffered a four-year setback due to extra music commitments.
The debut album was recorded at the Orange Studio of Stefano Doretti in the province of Pistoia, the band’s drummer and sound engineer.

In a seismic announcement that has sent shockwaves through the metal community, three of Sweden’s most iconic metal bands, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY and SOILWORK are teaming up for a European co-headline tour titled the “Rising From The North.” The tour promises an unforgettable night of Swedish metal mayhem.

ORBITA WIRU is a Warsaw-based rock band, performing a strong variation of this genre from the borderline of alternative and metal. The music of the band is a rock explosion generated by a three-man mechanism drawing from different regions of music. The uncompromising nature of the simple rhythm, the power of the guitars, the piercingness of the voice – the whole is a consistently pulsating sound machine.
The band has released four albums: “Wiru Sfera” (2006), “Relikwiat” (2009), “My Machines” (2013) and “Hipis2020” (2020). “Waking Our Ancient Memories” is a conceptual album inspired by the apocalyptic prophecies of ancient cultures from our world, their philosophy, and ancestral wisdom, as well as the aboriginal roots of the members. In this album, the band is focused on developing their original sound inspired by our ancient roots and the fury of nature, with an extreme sound influenced by Technical and Groove metal bands like Opeth, Obscura, Gojira, and Decapitated.
