CYHRA Sign to RPM & Release New Standalone Single ‘Superman’

CYHRA, the champions of melodic metal, have unleashed their latest single ‘Superman’ today, heralding a new era since the release of their third album, “The Vertigo Trigger.”

The track explodes with headbang-inducing riffs, as vocalist Jake E teases its epic, melody-rich chorus against a backdrop of sharp instrumentals. The almost spoken verses escalate to a larger-than-life chorus, culminating in irresistible, sing-along choirs that emphatically signal CYHRA‘s trajectory is set to soar above and beyond at breakneck speed!

‘Superman’ not only marks CYHRA‘s latest single but also their debut release with the burgeoning label Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM), which has recently become their new record label home. This track was mastered by renowned audio engineer Maor Appelbaum, known for his work with HALFORD, SABATON, and EQUILIBRIUM, among others. The artwork for ‘Superman’ was crafted by Gustavo Sazes, a longtime collaborator who has designed for SOILWORK, DYNAZTY, and VLTIMAS. Sazes has been instrumental in shaping the visual identity of CYHRA‘s previous three studio albums as well.

About CYHRA

As they approach their 10th anniversary next year, CYHRA have carved out a notable place in the metal scene since their founding in 2016 by Jake E (formerly AMARANTHE) and Jesper Strömblad (THE HALO EFFECT, formerly IN FLAMES). They were soon joined by drummer Alex Landenburg (KAMELOT, Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY) and bassist Peter Iwers (THE HALO EFFECT, formerly IN FLAMES). Their debut album “Letters To Myself” was released in 2017 to glowing reviews, catapulting the group to global stages, crowned with a massive North American tour supporting SABATON and KREATOR.

Following Iwers‘ departure, Euge Valovirta (guitars, bass) joined the line-up, and the band released their second album “No Halos In Hell” in 2019, which blended groovy metal with a poppy flair and featured the hit single ‘Out Of My Life,’ amassing about 11 million streams on Spotify. Their success continued with a European tour with BATTLE BEAST, UK dates alongside DELAIN, headline shows in select countries including Finland and Japan, and performances at major festivals like Masters of Rock, Bloodstock Open Air, Sabaton Open Air, and 70,000 Tons of Metal.

In 2020, guitarist Marcus Sunesson (RONNIE ATKINS, THE CROWN) joined, expanding the line-up. The pandemic pause allowed the band to craft their third album “The Vertigo Trigger,” released in 2023. The album’s tour brought them back to Finland to open for SMASH INTO PIECES and to headline shows in early 2024. Quietly beginning their fourth album, CYHRA ended the cycle with a Scandinavian tour with EVERGREY, leading into 2025 with the standalone single ‘Superman.’

Californian southern blues rockers Robert Jon & The Wreck have rescheduled three of their Spring 2025 UK tour dates. They will now play Birmingham O2 Academy 2 on Tuesday 6 May, Gloucester Guildhall on Wednesday 7th May and Chester Live Rooms on Thursday 8 May. They’ve also added a new date at Portsmouth Guildhall on Saturday May 10.

About Robert Jon & The Wreck
Reigning from southern California, Robert Jon & The Wreck has been taking the southern rock sound established on the east coast and bringing it to the West Coast. TELMA Unleash Fiery New Music Video for ‘Belly of the Beast’

Anticipation is building for the release of TELMA‘s sophomore studio album, “Awakening”, set to be released on February 28th, 2025. Today, the Greek modern metal outfit has unveiled the second pre-release single from their upcoming album, titled ‘Belly Of The Beast’, along with a music video filmed and edited by Vallas Dimitris and Nikos Katsaros.

TELMA about the track and its meaning: “‘Belly of The Beast’ is a haunting and intense exploration of control, entrapment, and the loss of individuality. Through shackles of mind, lifeless puppetry, and suffocation, the song delves into the despair of being manipulated, encapsulating a sense of helplessness and resignation in the clutches of an oppressive force – the Beast.“

Building upon the success of their 2021 debut, “Eternal”, which delved into the inner struggles of humanity, TELMA‘s upcoming offering “Awakening” takes a broader, more socially conscious approach. The album addresses pressing global issues such as the abuse of power, societal injustice, and gender-based violence.

“‘Awakening’ takes the torch from ‘Eternal’ – The thirst of power of the few that leads societies to war, people in despair and more hatred born. ‘Awakening’ talks about social injustices, gender violence, and issues that have always been around but have now come to the surface in our country and across the world. All deriving from the same root, our futile thirst for power and control of others. But in all this darkness, we do not give up and we stand and live our life the way we choose.

Despite the waves that hit us, we have to embrace reality and fight together. That is the whole point of this album, that is the point of the ‘Awakening’!“

“Awakening” was produced by George Margaritopoulos and recorded at M.S.M. Studios & Devasoundz Studios. The album was mixed by Fotis Benardo (Devasoundz Studios) and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios. Stunning artwork and design by Artaxas Design.

Melodic metal powerhouse THE FERRYMEN (Magnus Karlsson, Ronnie Romero, and Mike Terrana) are pleased to share “Mother Unholy”, the next single from their upcoming new studio album, “Iron Will”, set for release on January 24th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

About the track, vocalist Ronnie Romero says: “The most epic song of the album! Just loved how Magnus is capable to create such an atmosphere for a song. Loved to sing in this epic and yet heavy tune!! I believe The Ferrymen fans are going to love this one!!”

Guitarist Magnus Karlsson adds: “I love to write and produce epic stuff and this song is a really good example of that! The great lyrics are written by Jane Gillard and are about a nun who was pure of heart, but her heart was turned black by the hypocrisy of the people in the order around her, and ultimately, she became evil. Where there is light there, must also be dark”.

Karlsson expresses his excitement for the release:
“It’s pure fire creating metal with legends like Ronnie and Mike! These tracks hit hard with unrelenting power, but there’s this raw, emotional edge woven into the heaviness that I can’t get enough of. Heavy, honest, and straight from the soul—that’s the vibe we’re bringing”.
