Los Angeles’ heavy metal outfit BUTCHER BABIES is back with the new track “Sincerity”! This is the first song released since the band and vocalist Carla Harvey departed ways in July this year.
Released via Judge and Jury Records, the new track has everything to not make the fans disappointed – captivating vocals, a lethal dose of electronics, and groovy riffs!
This is what Heidi Shepherd said about “Sincerity” and the upcoming music from the band: “Sincerity” is wishful thinking in that someone you trusted had been sincere and delicate with your feelings and emotions rather than used to feed their own ego and benefit. The tag line, “the lies we can’t survive”, stems from a relationship that has been fought for over and over again but, ultimately, can not be fixed. After years of a pathological liar looking you in the eyes and offering up intentional and insincere promises, this song touches on those eyes being the “eyes that lie.”
“These new songs are written and produced with a purpose to show growth and maturity within the band. They are bound to invoke an emotional rollercoaster between looking toward the future with hope while reminiscing of past losses.”

“Storytellers of Lies” is the new single from Italian black-thrash metal trailblazers NECRODEATH. Now streaming everywhere, the track is the first harbinger preceding the band’s final album, “Arimortis”, due out January 17th 2025 via Time To Kill Records.
The band commented: “‘Storytellers of Lies’ is a pure thrash track, fast and immediate, reminiscent of the classic Necrodeath sound from the very first note. The lyrics, highly provocative, are a clear denunciation of the music business world. These storytellers, in exchange for money, offer you nothing but the false hope of stepping onto a stage you will never see…”.
As previously stated, NECRODEATH have announced their intention to disband after one last album and a farewell tour in 2025.
The album will be the last recorded testimony before the definitive dissolution of the band. The release will be followed by a farewell tour, which will last throughout 2025. After which the curtain will fall.
Frontman Flegias commented: “’Arimortis’ is a term of Latin origin which indicates the end of a war, the moment in which the fallen are honoured and altars are erected in their name (‘arae mortis’, the altars of death). Even today in some parts of Italy the term ‘arimo’ is used to declare the end of the games. We wanted to use this allegory to seal a path that lasted forty years, full of satisfactions, disappointments and revenge. The songs that make up the album contain several references to our long career”.
Tracklist:
01. Storytellers of Lies 02. New God 03. Necrosadist 04. Arimortis 05. Near-Death Experience 06. Alien 07. No More Regrets 08. μετεμψύχωσις (Part two) 09. Hangover
The moment you hear it, you know it’s NECRODEATH. Formed back in 1984, the Italian act is one of the real iconic black-thrash metal bands. With a career of 40 years, the band has helped to shape the Italian metal scene and the international underground as it is today. In 1985 NECRODEATH released a cult-demo tape titled “The Shining Pentagram” and obtained an incredible success in the underground. The demo is still considered a real gem in the thrash and black metal history. Tons of tributes in major magazines, fanzines and other underground outlets highlighted the release of the first two legendary albums “Into The Macabre” (1987) and “Fragments Of Insanity” (1989). New records and international and national tours followed one another non-stop until 2020. Like many other acts, the band was forced to interrupt a workaholic path in the underground metal scene. During that period the band reached out to Time to Kill Records for the release of the last two albums, starting with “Singin’ in the Pain” in 2023. One final record will kick off a farewell tour which will conclude at the end of 2025.

Following their much-acclaimed, latest studio album Born Demon (released in October 2022 via Drakkar EntertainmentHERE!), Norwegian trve heavy metal trio Sahg has shared a brand new single from their upcoming EP, entitled “More of Nothing”! Featuring four previously-unreleased songs, Sahg‘s new EP will be available as digital format on November 29, 2024. Pre-save “More of Nothing” at this location: https://sahg.bfan.link/more-of-nothing-EP
After Sahg recently shared the EP title track, today, the band is premiering “Children of the Revolution”, a cover version of UK glam rock pioneers T.Rex!
Sahg frontman Olav Iversen reveals:
«We have worked onward as the ’Toxic Trio’ since Born Demon, and passed even new limits for what this three-piece can achieve.
While recording the new EP, we had some time to play around with cover songs. And when discussing which songs to jam, one of the crucial questions became «What’s the heaviest riff in history?» One of the very first songs that came to mind was Children of the Revolution by T.Rex. It is so epic and simplistic, and weighs a million tons. We thought we would try to slow it down and tune it even lower than the original, but ended up with the same tempo and tuning. It already had the perfect pace and weight that hits you straight in the gut. We just left out the strings, carved it into the Toxic Trio format, and added a heavy metal touch to it, and it was perfect! This is our tribute to the great Marc Bolan and his brilliant talent as an artist and songwriter.
As proven throughout Sahg’s history, we are not afraid to try something new and just let it out there. On the other hand, some might say we are the most traditional metal band around! (laughs) So, I guess everyone will just have to give it a listen and make up their own minds about it.»
Entering the Norwegian metal scene in 2006 as a classic doom band, wasn’t necessarily a recipe for success. Black metal was still the big thing coming from Norway, and there wasn’t much space for bands from other subgenres. Even with Gorgoroth members King ov Hell and Kvitrafn in the line-up, adding a touch of blackness, it wasn’t very likely that Sahg would get an instant break-through. But, the band took the heavy music scene by storm with their blistering, chart-breaking debut Sahg I.
Throughout the following years, Sahg released six critically acclaimed albums, and played several tours and festivals across Europe, the United States and Asia to date. They have toured as support act for bands like Motörhead, W.A.S.P., Opeth, Clutch, Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir and Enslaved to name just a few, and appeared at prestigous festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, Sweden Rock Festival, Hard Rock Hell, Tons of Rock, Inferno Festival and Beyond the Gates among many more. To this day, Sahg has always stayed trve to their doom and heavy metal roots, and still holds the throne as Norway’s high guardians of doomed heavy metal. They are the bastard sons of Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Pentagram and Judas Priest. Classic heavy metal for the new age, with a desire for the occult, aversion for religion, and a gloomy gaze into the inevitable apocalypse, all served with a cold bite of Norwegian Blackness. With the ruthless force of a classic power trio, Sahg is part of a renaissance that will bring vintage doom and classic heavy metal back to the masses. Following their latest, much-acclaimed studio album Born Demon in 2022, the band unleashed a live record, Live Demons, and is currently gearing up for the release of their “More of Nothing” EP, due out on November 29, 2024 via Drakkar Entertainment.
