“Alles Anders”, is the deliberately striking title of the new MAERZFELD album, set to be released on February 24th via Metalville Records.
The world is no longer the same as it was 3 years ago and also for the musicians there were formative experiences and associated changes, which are processed in the new songs and allow an often very personal insight into the emotional life of the individual artists.
You can hear and feel a mixture of depression, hope, anger, despair, joy and courage.
MAERZFELD makes it clear right at the beginning of the album with the title song that the band is curious about the future and understands change as a chance to break with habits.
Therefore, “Alles anders” (everything is different) in a positive sense.
Since their foundation in 2009, the band from Nuremberg has continuously conquered a steadily growing fan base.
The band’s name is derived from the March Field, which served as an army assembly point under the Merovingians. The name is also meant to symbolise a field that has to be worked and tended every year in March. The band sees this as a metaphor for life, in which one can only achieve one’s goals through effort and work.

During the past few years,long-running stoner/doom metal act GODWATT have been crafting their new opus “Vol. III”, which will be released on CD, LP and digital format on December 20th 2022 via Time To Kill Records.
A little more than a week is left until the release of the album. Today, however, the Italian band pleases their fans by releasing the single “Sepolta”. Watch the lyric video at THIS LOCATION.
The video of the first single “Signora Morte” is still available HERE.

No one combines 70’s hard rock in the vein of Ozzy’s era Sabbath, heavy rock and stoner/doom metal streaks quite like Italy’s GODWATT. With unflinching viciousness and a sense of atmosphere unique to the band, with their upcoming new album they are going to push the boundaries of their craft even further.
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, NIHILIST DEATH CULT have recently released its debut album “Death To All Tyrants”. They are now releasing a video for the track “Obey & Consume”, which is about just following blindly and not questioning anything, and being a good consumer. The time to fight is always now, not later and it was inspired by John Carpenter’s “They Live”.
The video can be seen and heard via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.
The album “Death To All Tyrants” is in-your-face punk rock that combines angry riffs and hate-fuel lyrics about how the corporate-sponsored news media feeds you the stories and ideas they are paid to push. This record is about the victims standing up to the tyrants, it’s about choosing your own path and not blindly following norms if they don’t suit you. Bassist/vocalist Nick Sagias writes most of the music, but takes in input from his brother, drummer John Sagias and guitarist Ethan Bolduc. He shares their writing process:
“When I started writing for NDC, I knew that I wanted it to be aggressive, relentless, savage, no breakdowns, short songs, angry hardcore punk, the fact that my brother’s drumming fit perfectly in that and he was into it was a bonus for this otherwise it probably never would have happened. We just wanted to do this relentless style that we love and miss. Poison Idea, early DRI, early Bad Brains, the early dbeat bands, Discharge and GBH, that stuff gets the blood pumping and that’s the kinda stuff we wanna hear and see live.”
Those that get to witness Nihilist Death Cult play live can expect seasoned veterans going up on stage and putting on a show to match the energy of the music. There are no shoegazers here, just three passionate guys that want people to get into their music. They may be from Toronto but they are not a typical attitude Toronto band, they are the antithesis of that attitude.
The relatable lyrics are well enunciated making each of the nine songs on the album easy to pick up and get into. Nihilist Death Cult is recommended for fans of early DRI, early Bad Brains, and Nails.

Today, Southern roots rockers ROBERT JON & THE WRECK have released “Who Can You Love,” the captivating, Americana-infused second single from their new EP ‘One Of A Kind,’ out March 10th via Joe Bonamassa’s newest independent label, Journeyman Records. Produced by the renowned, multi-GRAMMY Award winning producer Don Was (Bonnie Raitt, The Stones, John Mayer), “Who Can You Love” was recorded at Hensen Studios in Los Angeles (the same studio that gave us legendary albums including “Tapestry” by Carole King and “Blue” by Joni Mitchell, and many others).
Listen/stream the track HERE. Watch the “Who Can You Love” music video HERE.
Don is a mysterious guy,” commented frontman Robert Jon Burrison on the collaboration with Was. “He’s so much about the vibe of the song, rather than the details, and he loves making stuff that sounds raw. He would tell awesome stories about the Dead and the Stones, and there was just so much gravity in his words because he’s been in those legendary rooms. It’s hard not to be intimidated but he made us feel right at home.”
“There aren’t a lot of great rock and roll bands out there playing’ right now,” added Was. “It’s a real thrill to be able to record this kind of music with such a great band.”
With its infectious melodies, catchy riffs, and Americana sound, “Who Can You Love” showcases another side of the band following the release of the EP’s explosive lead single “Pain No More,” an outstanding riff-driven roots rock track produced by the eight-time Grammy Award winner Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Blackberry Smoke, Rival Sons). In contrast, “Who Can You Love” is a reflective, inward-looking track about questioning what you are looking for in a partner. From the uplifting lyrics and velvety vocals of Robert Jon to Henry James’ soul-stirring fretwork, “Who Can You Love” has all the makings of a timeless Southern Rock ballad. The Wreck’s latest track will be right at home alongside cherished classics like The Allman Brothers’ “Melissa” and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man,” as well as modern gems like Chris Stapleton’s rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey” and John Mayer’s “Last Train Home (Ballad Version).”
“Who Can You Love” is the latest in a series of singles that Robert Jon & The Wreck will roll out over the next year, beyond the release of the ‘One Of A Kind’ EP. Prolific songwriters with a wealth of new material who refuse to be constrained by traditional release strategies, the band’s new partnership with Journeyman Records affords them the opportunity to work with the world’s top producers and release a steady stream of high quality singles on an ongoing basis, cutting through the industry chaos and ensuring new music is accessible to fans as intended.
Reigning from Southern California, Robert Jon & The Wreck take the Southern rock sound from the east coast and make it their own. Since their inception in 2011, these four native Californians; Robert Jon Burrison (lead vocals, guitar), Andrew Espantman (drums, background vocals), Henry James Schneekluth (lead guitar, background vocals), and Warren Murrel (bass) have been electrifying audiences all over the world with their soaring guitar leads, rich vocal harmonies, and memorable tunes. Simply put, it is difficult to ignore when these talented musicians take the stage.
Little wonder they have made an impact on audiences across the world, where they’ve played a run of sold-out shows and proudly shared bills with talent the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Peter Frampton, Buddy Guy and Rival Sons. 2020’s ,’Last Light On The Highway’ garnered worldwide acclaim for the band and 2021’s ‘Shine A Light On Me Brother’ continued their upward trajectory, leading to a collaboration with Journeyman Records. They released two singles in early 2022 “Waiting For Your Man” and “She’s A Fighter.” On September 30th, The Wreck released their latest Album ‘Wreckage Vol. 2’ which has paved the way for even more new and exciting music from the band.
Stay tuned for continued updates.

PRESTIGE were barely out of their teenager years, yet fully aware of the problems in the society and the world around them when they started making music in 1987. Often the band took a humoristic approach to song lyrics, but if you dig deeper, there is always a message hidden in there. A song like “This World”, for example, is as relevant today as it was 35 years ago.
Their music was fast and aggressive, and PRESTIGE was the third thrash band to release a full-length album in Finland. The years 1988 and 1989 witnessed a real breakthrough of thrash metal in Finland, and PRESTIGE was right in the middle of it, ending up playing all over the country and hitting the charts.
The band’s iconic debut album, “Attack Against Gnomes”, was produced and recorded by renowned producer TT Oksala and was mixed at the legendary Finnvox Studios in Helsinki. The album recordings took seven days. Now, Massacre Records is going to re-release this must-have of a thrash metal record as a CD Digipak and limited Vinyl LP edition on January 13, 2023! The pre-sale is now available at THIS LOCATION!
“Finally, after 34 years of it’s initial release our debut album will be released in physical form to the wider international audience. Back in 1988 Finland was a different metal countryas you know it now. Exporting metal was random and hard if not impossible. We toured a lot back then, and lived fast,” the band comments.
“On this album you will hear youngsters, hardly 18 years old, playing their music in passion and attitude. That has not changed a bit till today, the same passion is still there. We hope you’ll enjoy this little journey back in time!“
As bonus, the CD Digipak edition of the “Attack Against Gnomes” reissue includes the 1988 demo “GODS” which actually led the band to a record deal in first place. It was recorded with an eight-track recorder in just a few hours at Emma Studio, yet the band obviously knew what they were doing. On the demo you can hear the band raw and unpolished, yet full of devotion to their music and lifestyle.

Nuclear Blast are proud to welcome back the Swedish powerhouse HammerFall who started their career in 1997 on the label with their debut album Glory to the Brave.
Their entire Nuclear Blast catalogue from Glory to the Brave to the 2014 album (r)Evolution was recently certified with a Diamond Award for over 1,5 million worldwide sales.
And there´s been even more to celebrate: following on from Renegade (2000), Crimson Thunder (2002) and No Sacrifice, No Victory (2009),their fifth studio album Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken from 2005 is now their fourth album that has gone Gold in Sweden, whilst Crimson Thunder even went Platinum, celebrating over 60,000 sales in their home country.
The band comments on the signing:”We were part of building the label back in the day, starting with our first album. For a long time, we were along for the ride as Nuclear Blast evolved into the immense powerhouse it is today. Although we did leave for three studio albums, and we are pleased with those albums and thank everyone who worked with us on them, we are very excited to be back where we belong: with Nuclear Blast. It truly feels like we’ve come home.”
Marcus Hammer, Managing Director at Nuclear Blast comments: “In the darkest days of the 90s of death and black metal HammerFall spearheaded a glorious revival of classic melodic metal and they are now bigger than ever before. It’s an impressive career of creative power and we are more than happy to welcome them back at the label where they started. Over the past few years, we always stayed in good contact working on their massive back catalogue and it’s a pleasure to continue the relationship for new albums in the near future. Thanks to HammerFall, their management and amazing crew!”
