DIPLOMATICS Release Brand New Music Video for ‘Jungle’

December 16 marks the release of “Is It Time To Fly?” the new album by Italy’s Diplomatics, which will be released via Go Down Records. For their third studio album, DIPLOMATICS had some clear ideas: looking for a wave and punk-funk evolution, without losing their DNA. The sound recalls contemporary bands such as Amyl & The Sniffers, Parquet Courts, Viagra Boys and the band paid great attention to the lyrics and vocal lines, both sung and ‘spoken’ in the style of Lou Reed. The main topics are alienation, the desire to run away, loneliness, capitalist society’s hypocrisy, but also themes very dear to them like partying as a time of escape, self-expression, gathering together and the happiness of touring life.

After the release of the first two single “Go High” and “Back To You“, the band follows up today with a brand new video clip for the track “Jungle”.

The band comments: “Jungle embraces all our influences, both past and present. It took a long time to develop and featured special contributions from Leonardo Zichè on Brazilian samba-flavored percussion and Edoardo Brunello on no-wave style sax. Moreover, we had fun with funky guitar riffs, Soul bass lines and odd times that blows the listener away. The lyrics deal with diversity and rebellion against society’s rules, encouraging people to take off the masks of conformism“.

“Is It Time To Fly?” will be coming out on December 16th and is available for pre-save and pre-order at THIS LOCATION

Tracklist:

  1. Jungle
  2. Irish Whiskey (remastered)
  3. Nevah (remastered)
  4. You Are Nothing
  5. Back To You
  6. Go High
  7. 7 Notes
  8. Dancing All Alone

DIPLOMATICS are:

Seth | guitar
Manu | guitar
Ovo | drums
Danny | vocals, harmonica, percussion
Crudo | bass
Andre | piano, keyboards

“You can SPREAD THE CODE by sharing the events and inviting your friends. We really need all your support, especially in this historical moment when touring has become extremely difficult.“

“Don’t forget to bring at least 4MB of ram to run Doom and be ready for a live firmware update. We’ll bring the floppy disks.“

SPREAD THE CODE

Helmed solely by technologist/songwriter Victor Love, MASTER BOOT RECORD is, if anything, creatively prolific. The follow-up to Floppy Disk Overdrive (2020), PERSONAL COMPUTER is Love’s latest offering since emerging as an 8-bit ghost from the bulletin board system (BBS) scene in 2016. Now, he’s returned to right-click on devotees with yet another easter egg and symbolism-rich mélange of intensely ornate yet driving digital orchestrations. Just don’t call PERSONAL COMPUTER  synthwave, or whatever new-fangled term is being used to describe MASTER BOOT RECORDs masterful video game-like scoring. To put it simply: this is metal done with a synth.

“The main elements include chiptune, demoscene & video game music, thrash/death metal and some black metal as well as classical and symphonic patterns and progressive structures. But everything is programmed and done with synthesizers.” The result, influenced as much by classical baroque music, bay area thrash metal, and Commodore 64 games, is a frenzied mashup of what logic suggests should be disparate sounds, but in the hands of MBR make sense, taking the listener in unexpected and always thrilling directions, smashing through genre walls.

OMEGA INFINITY Share 360° VR Music Video for New Song ‘Iron Age’, Reveal “The Anticurrent” Album Details

Void metal outfit OMEGA INFINITY, the project of Xenoyr (NE OBLIVISCARIS) and Tentakel P. (TODTGELICHTER), will be releasing their new full-length, ‘The Anticurrent,’ on February 24, 2023. The album artwork, tracklist, and details can be found below!

The band is now sharing the first single, “Iron Age,” along with a 360° music video that can be watched with VR goggles! In addition, the single features Adrienne Cowan of SEVEN SPIRES as a guest vocalist! The song and video can be found at THIS LOCATION.

OMEGA INFINITY comments:
“And as the universe had pulled itself from chaos into order, the eternal dance of dust and matter cradling the formation of celestial bodies and myriads of galaxies, a cancer spreads out into the universe – a remnant of chaos, spawning and spreading like mold through superclusters everywhere. Like bones ripped from its own flesh, this force harvests resources to form weapons meant for destruction and demise. Wherever there is life, there is conflict. This is the birth of war – the birth of the new Iron Age!”

“The Anticurrent” can be pre-saved HERE pre-ordered HERE.

The cover art was created by Adrien Bousson.

Track List:
1. The Alpha (07:40)
2. Creation (05:11)
3. Iron Age (07:11) feat. Adrienne Cowan [WATCH HERE]
4. Banish Us From Eden (04:42)
5. To The Stars (05:16)
6. Death Rays (06:18) feat. Lindsay Schoolcraft
7. Voices From The End Of Time (12:19) feat. András Nagy
Bonus
8. Night Journey (Sear Bliss cover) (Bonus) feat. András Nagy
9. Ye Entrancemperium (Emperor cover) (Bonus) feat. MJ Braun

OMEGA INFINITY: The story of the endless cycle of birth and death told on a cosmic scale, being viewed from The Void that permeates the whole existence.
The debut album “Solar Spectre” (released in 2020 by Season Of Mist) created a dark and disturbing soundtrack for a journey through our own solar system, combining furious Black Metal of the 90‘s, harsh electronic and menacing ambient sounds with ancient growls and screams and gathered overwhelmingly positive press and fan response when it was first unleashed upon earth.

Not content with only one small statement and following their greater vision for The Void, Tentakel P. (TODTGELICHTER) and Xen (NE OBLIVISCARIS/ ANTIQVA) had already finished their sophomore album at that time, with only the pandemic preventing the vocal recordings and thus an earlier release.

“The Anticurrent” unleashed a very different view of The Void unto the listener. Rather than the blackness of space, the second album explores Time: From the Big Bang and the chaotic birth of the universe, the album’s focus moves through the rise and fall of human civilisation, while zooming back out to a cosmic scale to witness the inevitable end of the universe in the menacing finale.

No OMEGA INFINITY album would be complete without cover versions (SEAR BLISS and EMPEROR) and the addition of friends as guests to the ensemble: Heralding The End together with the band are (in order of appearance) Adrienne Cowan (SEVEN SPIRES/ AVANTASIA), Lindsay Schoolcraft (ANTIQVA/ ex-CRADLE OF FILTH), Andras Nagy (SEAR BLISS) and Marta J. Braun (TODTGELICHTER/ VYRE).

If you ever wanted to know how a myriad of Black Holes devouring themselves in a time distortion sound – look no further than OMEGA INFINITY’s sophomore album “The Anticurrent”!

Grutle Kjellson commented,
“Sometimes the answers and the truths lie under your very nose, or where the journey starts, where you first set sail towards horizons unknown. This was very much the case when we started working on “Heimdal”; we stepped back and looked a bit inwards and also at our immediate surroundings, at the area we hail from and where we still dwell today; Hordaland. On these shores people have been living and dying, worshiping and crying, laughing and lying ever since the Stone Age. History has been written here, history will still be written here and we will continue to dwell here until the end of our days.

Built around this historical narrative, “Heimdal” was created, and on the 3rd of March 2023 we would like to invite you to celebrate the album release with us and pay homage to our history.

Under the “Heimhug”-banner, we’re gonna perform a two-set release concert at USF Bergen with very special guests, we’ll have an art exhibition with the specific photographs and drawings we used for the artwork on the album and also an exclusive showing of last year’s “The Otherworldly BigBand experience”.

See you in Bergen in March!
Alu Alu Laukar!”

02. Congelia
03. Forest Dweller
04. Kingdom
05. The Eternal Sea
06. Caravans To The Outer Worlds
07. Gangandi (Bonus Track)*
08. Heimdal

Heimdal, is both a departure and a communion with roots forged over three decades ago in the turbulent birth throes of Norway’s black metal scene. The record is named after Heimdal, arguably the most mysterious entity in Nordic mythology.

The record features psychedelic track ‘Caravans To The Outer Worlds‘ from last year’s EP of the same name. Albumbonus versions contain an extra track, ‘Gangandi‘, alongside a Blu-Ray copy of 2021’s stunning Otherworldly Big Band Experience streamed event – the band’s boldest project to date, featuring fellow Norwegian prog band Shaman Elephant. The kaleidoscopic stage show features a stellar setlist, covering Enslaved‘s career, both past and present.

Never faltering, Norway’s iconic Enslaved continue to exist as one of the most original and dependable components in our scene’s indestructible backbone. Possessing the reputation as one of the most riveting live acts around, they never fail to offer us talent of the highest calibre, always doing justice to their signature black/progressive sound. Enslaved was formed in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson, releasing their first demo Yggdrasill in the summer of 1992, their legendary mini-album Hordanes Land coming out in 1993, and with their debut full-length Vikingligr Veldi arriving in the spring of 1994.

Enslaved in 2022 are a band in stellar form – a band at its most existentialist and self-conscious, proud Bergeners bearing the torch of their hometown’s extraordinary musical history. Their most recent material shows Enslaved at their most unleashed and thought-through – a lethal combination unfurling a potential that’s easily rekindling the furor of their early works while dancing gracefully through their most ambitious, most haunting and most musical tunes yet. A contradiction? Life itself is a contradiction. And yet we all live to prove it wrong.
