Czech post, doom metal band INDRID COLD have released a second official video taken from their 2021 album release Monument Prázdnoty (released worldwide via Sliptrick Records) and once again directed by Luboš Stručovský.

Here’s the bands enigmatic statement; “It is the prayer of my innermost being to realize my supreme identity in the liberated play of consciousness, the Vast Expanse. Now is the moment, here is the place of Liberation.” Alex Grey

Monument Prázdnoty (Eng: Monument of Emptiness) is the debut album from Czech post, doom metal band Indrid Cold. The word emptiness means: “The field of boundless emptiness is what exists from the very beginning. You must purify, cure, grind down, or brush away all the tendencies you have fabricated into apparent habits. Then you can reside in a clear circle of brightness. Utter emptiness has no image. Upright independence does not rely on anything. Just expand and illuminate the original truth unconcerned by external conditions. Read more …here

SABATON Singer Joakim Brodén Talks JUDAS PRIEST Tour & New Studio Album ‘War To End All Wars’

Jimmy Kay and Alan Dixon from Canada’s The Metal Voice recently spoke to lead singer of Sabaton Joakim Brodén about the upcoming tour opening for Judas Priest and their new upcoming studio album plus a whole lot more.

When asked about their upcoming Tour with Judas Priest and how it came about
“I don’t know exactly how but we played with Priest the first time in 2010 in Berlin. We have run into each other at festivals and it’s all about timing. When we were kids one of our first favorite band was Judas Priest. Obviously we wanted to tour with them even before they knew we existed. It was supposed to be last year but finally we managed to get the timing right with album releases and when we were able to tour. I am really really looking forward to it. Doubly so since we have not been touring much lately and also to be touring with one of our favorite bands of all time, can’t be better huh?”

When asked about the upcoming new Sabaton studio album
“It’s a Sabaton Album, we have been an evolutionary band not a revolutionary band. There is always surprises on a Sabaton album but we are never going to flip the coin and do something totally different on every song on a new album. There is going to be surprises on every album. I am actually listening and approving the master for the new album right now. A new album is always subjective and I think it’s pathetic when an artist says, this is our best album we ever made and they keep promoting the same tired line. I say it’s up to the listen to decide. But I know for a fact that everybody in the band, without even sitting in the same room together cause I shipped out the pre mixes to everyone and this is the only time in our history that everybody came back with F*** that sounds great! Everybody is super happy with the production. We were always happy before but maybe this maybe that but now wow we are really happy with the sound. I can’t reveal the exact topic but we are doing modern warfare 20th century.”

Will the songs that you released during the pandemic be on the new album
“No they are totally separate from the new album. Those are not on the album we have a complete album, plus those tracks plus a bit more.”

RED DEVIL VORTEX Release New Single + Official Music Video “Alive”

“ALIVE is the song that starts a new era for RED DEVIL VORTEX, presenting the prodigy guitarist Luis Kalil as the new member. It’s a song of empowerment, about believing in yourself and being free to live on your own terms. After all the craziness and uncertainties brought by the Pandemic, we feel like this is a timeless message that fits the present moment perfectly, reminding us we can always be stronger and kick ass” says the band.

“Alive” buy/stream: https://reddevilvortex.bandcamp.com/track/alive

From living in an RV on the streets of Hollywood to #16 on the Billboard Charts, Red Devil Vortex is not only the sonic result of life’s chaos and frustrations, but a statement of fighting for what you believe in. Though adapting to a new world of cultural shocks and real life challenges when moving from Curitiba, Brazil to Los Angeles, CA, lead singer / bassist Gabriel Connor and drummer Iago Marcondes were relentless and just getting louder.

The band had its kickstart with the single “The Fallen” from 2016 followed by the EP Something Has To Die released in May of 2018. Produced by Augustus “Gus” Cryns (Butcher Babies, Anti-Flag), the EP hit the US Billboard charts on its first week at No #16 (Heatseekers Chart) and No #49 (Independent Albums Chart) with over 250k Spotify streams to date.

Between 2019 and 2020 the band went back in studio to record their second EP, facing the departure of original guitarist Pablo Kravicz during the process. Gabriel and Iago managed to finish the record before another loss with the untimely death of their friend and producer Augustus during the pandemic lockdowns.

All releases were postponed but Gabriel and Iago kept Red Devil Vortex alive, using the time to organically find the right guitarist to get back on track. That guy was Luis Kalil, a 21-year-old award winning guitar prodigy based in Los Angeles who is also from Brazil and has either recorded or performed with artists such as Steve Vai, Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Kiko Loureiro & Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth) among others.

With Luis onboard, his guitars were recorded in all the remaining tracks done with Augustus Cryns not only honoring the work they’ve done together before his passing but giving a new meaning and creating a new chapter in the history of Red Devil Vortex.

Dark Secrets, Red Devil Vortex’ new record, is set to be released in the second half of 2021.

In August 2019, power metal newcomers NORTHTALE released their successful debut album “Welcome To Paradise”. After a recent line up change, the band announced their new vocalist, Guilherme Hirose from Sao Paolo, Brazil. Now, with a new album and a big tour on the horizon, the band are happy to present a special single to shorten the wait: Today, NORTHTALE release a music video for their re-recorded version of the 2019 track ‘Follow Me‘ with Guilherme Hirose on vocals.

Guitarist Bill Hudson comments: “As most of you know, we have recently welcomed our new singer, Guilherme Hirose, to the band. While the world was hiding inside their homes, a lot of musicians just went into the studio to create new music, and we were no different. Guilherme has blown our minds in the studio, and I am pretty sure we’ve created a much better record than our debut.
This also made me want to listen to him sing some of our old songs, so we recorded a few of those in the studio and we get to show them to you now!
Sadly, it’ll be a few months before our new album is out, but rest assured, it’ll come out in time for our European tour with UNLEASH THE ARCHERS and STRIKER this winter!
We will start it off with my favorite song in the entire album, ‘Follow Me’!”

New singer Guilherme Hirose adds: “I’m very happy and thankful that I was able put my interpretation and soul on some of the songs from Northtale’s debut album! I can’t wait for everyone to save those songs on their favorite playlists!”

NORTHTALE is an international five piece Power Metal band which was formed in 2017 by guitarist Bill Hudson (DORO, TSO, ex-U.D.O), who was initially writing songs for a solo album. Drummer Patrick Johansson (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen/W.A.S.P), keyboardist Jimmy Pitts, bassist Mikael Planefeldt and former singer Christian Eriksson (ex-TWILIGHT FORCE) joined during the demo stages, when a decision was made to turn the project into a full time band. The groups’s debut album, “Welcome To Paradise” was released in August 2019 via Nuclear Blast to very high international acclaim and great reviews on the specialized media worldwide.
In the Summer of 2020 the band chose its new vocalist, Guilherme Hirose, after a worldwide search which included 40 candidates from 11 different countries.

NORTHTALE has recently completed their sophomore album, produced by Dennis Ward (HELLOWEEN, UNISONIC, ANGRA) with a tentative release for 2021 via Nuclear BlastRecords.

“SUMMERTIME” can be streamed/downloaded here: https://linktr.ee/TheMidnightPreachers

Founded by Eoghan MacSheain in the north-west of Ireland in late 2017, The Midnight Preachers blasted onto the Irish music scene with a distinctive rock sound. Featuring rich vocal harmonies, Fender Rhodes and classic rock style riffs, their first single “California” debuted at #2 on iTunes in Ireland, with the follow up single “Pusher Woman” receiving critical acclaim in publications such as Classic Rock Magazine in August 2020.

Following an Irish tour which culminated in a headline show with legendary guitar player Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (solo artist / ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist), The Midnight Preachers returned to the studio, releasing their critically acclaimed EP Desert Hymns in December 2020. PARADOX Unleash Brand New Song ‘Mountains And Caves’ From Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 14, 2021
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Paradox. Leave a comment

When today’s thrash metal classic „Heresy“ was released in 1990, the world was different. The internet was nearly unknown. Mobiles were as big as buffalo bones. Wacken Open Air was a party for the village louts. These are stories from a long forgotten time. But Charly Steinhauer and his band PARADOX are still here and September 24, 2021 will see them release their brand new, 8th studio album, Heresy II – End of a Legend, through AFM Records!

The roots of the band go way back to 1981. After several changes of names, PARADOX was born in 1986. Their debut, “Product of Imagination“ (1987), came like a fresh breeze blowing through the scene, their concept album “Heresy” was the international breakthrough and catapulted the band into the first league of cult thrashers. More than 30 years later, PARADOX is finally releasing its worthy successor, Heresy II – End of a Legend.

After previously- released album singles, “Priestly Vows” and “The Visitors”, today PARADOX premiered another blistering song taken from their upcoming magnum opus! Listen to the brutally fast- paced thrash juggernaut, “Mountains And Caves“, right here:

For their new album, frontman Charly Steinhauer gathered round a very special line up: Guitar wizard Christian Münzner and long time bass player Olly Keller are back after a break of one album. Also PARADOX co-founder and drummer Alex Blaha returns on Heresy II – End of a Legend. Peter Vogt, who was the man behind the lyrical concept of the first two PARADOX albums and who wrote the story of the crusade of the Catholic Church against the schismatic Cathars in the 13th century, is also again a part of the band’s new record. Now, their tale finally continues: Musically and lyrically, Heresy II – End of a Legend starts where the first part ended in 1990.

“In 1244 at the siege of Montsegur, two groups of Knights were tasked with removing the ‘Cathar Treasure,“ Charly comments. “The story tells of the dangerous journey these two groups endured, and through visions they are getting told of the myth of Jesus Christ, that the real messiah was in fact John the Baptist.“ About their new single, “Mountains And Caves”, he tells us:
“After escaping the burning the two knights escape through secret tunnels in the mountain. For many days they run towards their home, no longer pursued they arrive back at the silent caves they call home, the villagers thinking they were dead are overjoyed to see them alive.

Mountains And Caves is one of the many fast songs from the new album and it’s pretty straight in face! A typical PARADOX delicacy with a solo part by Christian Münzner, who once again gets under your skin and shows how the lightning strikes!“

75 minutes between razor- sharp riffage, a pounding rhythm force and the distinctive voice of Charly, PARADOX stand true to their style. Heavily influenced by the first three Metallica records, the Bavarian outfit found and improved their sound decades ago. Old school meets new production techniques. Finally and after a long lean period, on September 24th fans can expect the return of thrash with class, while PARADOX succeed in sounding nostalgic and modern at the same time.

Heresy II – End of a Legend was produced by Steinhauer himself and mastered by Hannes Grossmann in MordorSound Studio in Veitsbronn, the album pre- sale is now available at THIS LOCATION!

Heresy II – End of a Legend Tracklist:

  1. Escape From The Burning
  2. Mountains And Caves
