Following the release of their first symphonic live album, Opus Diabolicum (Napalm Records), Portuguese dark metal pioneers Moonspell are bringing their monumental orchestral show back to the stage. The band has confirmed exclusive orchestra performances in Mexico and Bulgaria, alongside a Latin American tour in 2026, to kick off on March 13!

The Mexican audience will experience a one-off symphonic celebration of Opus Diabolicum, a live album praised by fans and critics worldwide for its powerful fusion of dark metal and classical grandeur. Bulgaria will also host this spectacular orchestral production, giving fans another rare opportunity to witness Moonspell’s music elevated by the magnitude of a full classical arrangement.

In addition, Moonspell will embark on their “Wolfheart and Other Stories: The Best of Moonspell Tour 2026”, a special Latin American run celebrating the legacy of their iconic debut album Wolfheart and key chapters from their three-decade career.

The tour marks Moonspell’s first ever show in Honduras and a long-awaited return to Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil – territories the band has been connected to since first venturing into Latin America in 1998.

Fans can expect a set that goes beyond Wolfheart, diving deep into Moonspell’s catalog with fan favorites, essential classics, and carefully selected deep cuts.

Commenting on the upcoming dates, frontman Fernando Ribeiro states:
“Moonspell is very happy to come back to this exclusive tour in Mexico and Latin America. We were one of the first European bands to venture into those territories back in 1998 and it feels great to play again to one of the most passionate crowds in the entire world. Mexico gets a one off, selected orchestra show celebrating our successful live album, Opus Diabolicum, praised by fans and press all over the world. A show where the power of our dark metal is amplified by the magnitude of classical music.

We then pack up and visit Honduras for the very first time while returning to Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina and Brazil, to celebrate the three decades of our now legendary debut album Wolfheart. But we won’t stop there and after the hour of the wolf, we take our fans into a voyage into Moonspell’s best songs, deep cuts and repertoire. A musical communion in a territory where we have always been so happy and fortunate to play since the late nineties.”

With orchestral grandeur, anniversary celebrations, and new music on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Moonspell and their global legion of fans. Make sure to catch them live at the following dates:

March 13 – Mexico City, Mexico, Pepsi Center (Opus Diabolicum Orchestra Show)
March 15 – San Pedro Sula, Honduras
March 17 – Bogotá, Colombia
March 18 – San José, Costa Rica
March 20 – Santiago, Chile

AKEM MANAH Premiere New Lyric Video for ‘The Sleep of Eve Saldana’

Belgian doom metallers AKEM MANAH have released a brand new lyric video for “The Sleep of Eve Saldana”, another haunting track taken from their forthcoming full-length album “Threnodies”, due out on April 3 via Black Lion Records.

Following previously unveiled singles such as “The End of Earnest Hollow” and “The Burning of John Briggs”, the new track ventures further into AKEM MANAH’s shadow-drenched world of doom-laden storytelling.

“Eve Saldana sought eternity in love and beauty, but was betrayed and received suffering beyond
reckon in a premature burial“, the band comments. “Her ‘sleep’ is a liminal dream between death and awakening, her body decaying in the grave she had made. The track merges sorrow with horror, a keening for those who long for transcendence, yet are greeted by bleak persistence“.

Tracklist:
1.The Inevitable Fate of Francis Cobb (Intro)
2.The End of Earnest Hollow
3.The Mystery of Mosef Mehul
4.The Burning of John Briggs
5.The Journey of Nathaniel Johnson
6.The Undoing of an Unknown (Interlude)
7.The Fall of Maximillian Montagne
8.The Sleep of Eve Saldana
9.The Demise of John Dunn
10.The Hanging of Edward Hope (Outro)

Featuring ten brand new tracks, “Threnodies” unfolds as a cycle of human unraveling: ten dirges for those who sought the truth behind the world, only to find the abyssal chaos staring back. Each song recounts a different descent into forbidden knowledge, madness and death of men and women who, out of grief, faith, or hunger for meaning, reached too far into the Mythos. Their stories are not about monsters but about the human need to see beyond the illusion of order, and the silence that answers.

Musically, “Threnodies” draws from doom and black metal’s bleak cadence, but with an overt horror tone. A lament sung from within the void rather than against it. Every track is a threnody in the ancient sense, namely a song for the dead, and for what in us dies when we understand too much.

The album was edited, mixed and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima at Tower Studio and is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION.

Line-up:
RD – Bass guitar
GVC – Rhythm guitar
JT – Lead guitar
XDS – Guitars, keyboards, vocals

Finnish doom metal act GRAIN OF PAIN has unveiled a brand new single taken from the forthcoming studio album, “Behind Us All”, which will be released on March 27 via Noble Demon. The track, titled “The Offering (feat. Eemeli Bodde)”, arrives today alongside an animated music video that visually captures the song’s haunting atmosphere.

As the follow-up to the first single, “To Burn Inside”, “The Offering” provides a further glimpse into the sonic direction of the upcoming record. Blending heavy riffs with melodic depth and a dark, immersive mood, the track highlights the band’s dynamic approach to doom/death metal while continuing the intensity introduced on the album’s first preview.

About the new single, Timo Solonen comments: “You will do everything for your children. Try to help them in this world. This is about sacrifices you are willing to do so the younger generation can have a better life. Still not sure if you can do enough.

Juho’s solo is really spot on and Eemeli Bodde’s growls are as powerful as we ever hoped. This is melodic doom at its best. The atmosphere keeps you inside the story the whole time.“

Eemeli Bodde, who lends his voice to the track, adds: “I’m not a big doom guy but I remember clearly the first time Timo sent me a demo for ‘The Offering’. The night was dark and silent and I felt a certain type of melancholy listening to the track. He asked me to do the vocals and I hesitated a bit because this style was really unfamiliar to me, but in the end I’m really happy about taking on the challenge. The track turned out to be a beautiful piece of simple but impactful art that I’m sure melodic doom fans will enjoy!“

Tracklist:

  1. Shattered Peace
  2. To Burn Inside (Featuring Pekka Olkkonen)
  3. The Offering (Featuring Eemeli Bodde)
  4. Ruins Of The Heart
  5. The House
  6. Dance With Me
  7. Bless You With Sorrow
  8. If Morning Never Comes (Featuring Kirsten Jørgensen)

Hailing from Finland, GRAIN OF PAIN delivers a powerful and emotionally charged take on doom/death metal. At the core of the band is Timo Solonen, who handles composition alongside growls and guitars. On bass and clean vocals is Lars Eikind (Before The Dawn), standing out with a prestigious Spellemannsprisen (Grammy) win in Norway.

Joining as session musicians are Juho Räihä (guitars, additional screams) and Juuso Raatikainen (drums), both of whom claimed a Finnish Grammy with Swallow the Sun in 2025. Drawing from a wide range of influences, GRAIN OF PAIN weaves dark atmospheres and powerful melodies into music that resonates long after the final note fades.

Following the signing with German metal specialist Noble Demon in April 2024 for their debut release (“The Moon Lights The Way”), GRAIN OF PAIN now raises the stakes with “Behind Us All”, their second studio album, set for release in March 2026.

“Behind Us All” was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Juho Räihä at SoundSpiral Audio. The cover artwork was created by Gogo Melone. The album will be released on March 27 via Noble Demon and is available for pre-order HERE.

Prog Metal Veterans RAM-ZET Unveil Video for Second Single ‘Cranium’

Norwegian progressive metal veterans RAM-ZET have unveiled the second single from their upcoming studio album “Sapien”. Following the release of the first track “Zerocane”, the band now presents “Cranium”, offering another intense glimpse into what listeners can expect from the forthcoming full-length.

“Cranium” is now available on all major digital streaming platforms and is accompanied by an official music video. “Sapien” is scheduled for release on March 27 via Swedish label ViciSolum Productions.

Stream the single HERE

Guitarist and founder Henning ‘Zet’ Ramseth comments on the new single: “Cranium is probably one of the most fun songs I have ever made to this band, and it all came out from an idea about this pretty heavy-groovy chorus, which I built the whole song around. Suddenly the country/folk intro came out from nothing, and then we had it going – going from country into a little blast part, seemed like a fun idea, and then we worked with Sfinx amazing vocals to complete it!“

Vocalist Sfinx adds about the lyrical concept: “We all wear a mask. Behind it lies everything we don’t want the world to see. On the outside, we only show the good, sweet and innocent. Beneath the mask lurks the monster. Humbled.“

Tracklist:

  1. Zerocane
  2. Cranium
  3. Sleepers
  4. Bozzadevil
  5. Peace25?
  6. As Worlds Collide
  7. Psychosis
  8. In The Mirror
  9. Catching Flies
  10. Hangmans Jazz

“Sapien” marks RAM-ZET’s first full-length album since ‘Freaks in Wonderland’ (2012), ending a silence that lasted more than a decade. While the band never officially disbanded, activity slowed considerably as members pursued other creative paths. The turning point came in 2023, when Ramseth felt the time was right to fully resurrect the project. What followed was an intensive two-year period of writing, rehearsing, and recording, culminating in a celebrated return to the live stage in the summer of 2024.

The current line-up reflects both continuity and renewal. Longtime keyboardist Karoline “Ka” Amb stepped away as band activity increased, making room for Kai “Aazuu” Renton (Trollfest) on keyboards. At the same time, violinist Ingvild “Sareeta” Johannesen has returned after an extended break, once again adding her unmistakable signature to the band’s sound.

With “Sapien”, RAM-ZET deliver their trademark fusion of intensity, complexity, and atmosphere, infused with renewed focus, energy, and vision. The band’s next chapter begins now.

The album will be released as double vinyl, CD, and digital. Pre-orders are available at THIS LOCATION

Line-up:
Henning Ramseth / Zet – Guitar, vocals
Miriam Renvåg / Sfinx – Vocals
Lars A Lien / Lanius – Bass
Ingvild Strønen Johannesen/ Sareeta – Violin
Kai Renton / Aazuu – Keyboards
Kent Frydenlund/ Küth – Drums

The London show took place in the middle of an extensive European tour and became a major highlight for the band, at a legendary venue that has unfortunately since had to close its doors.

Kalandra comments on the live-album and the anniversary: “We are grateful that the moment was preserved, and we feel this release reflects some of the energy we and the audience shared that night of the concert. It is a meaningful way to mark our anniversary by releasing our first live album. What we have built as a band did not happen overnight, but step by step – shaped by trust, patience, and a shared goal. Over time, the music has found its way to more and more people, touching them in ways we could never have foreseen. Thank you for listening, for staying, and for walking this path with us. Time has a quiet way of moving – celebrating 15 years of Kalandra

Kalandra began in 2011, when Katrine started the band while studying in Liverpool. The lineup shifted in the early days, but Jogeir joined later that same year, followed by Florian the year after. In those early Liverpool years, they played live almost every other week at open mics, band nights, and small venues, learning through repetition and persistence.

A turning point came with the EP Beneath the Breaking Waves, recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool. It marked a shift in intention — choosing to write music that spoke honestly to themselves rather than following any given path. Believing that honesty in creation might allow the music to find its own way forward. Not long after, the band returned to Norway, where Oskar Rydh joined and the lineup was completed — and has remained unchanged since.

Following the success of their debut album The Line and their atmospheric soundtrack for the video game Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands, Kalandra returned in 2024 with their second album A Frame of Mind. Drawing on years of collaboration and creative confidence, the record stands as their most expansive work to date — showcasing versatility and new dimensions of their sound while staying true to the immersive atmosphere that defines them.

Over time, the circle has widened. Through their acclaimed cover of Helvegen, two studio albums, collaborations with ByNorse and AISA, and with their extensive touring abroad: Kalandra’s music has travelled far beyond its Nordic roots and continues to expand their audience across the world.

MAMMON’S THRONE Release Third Video Single ‘Every Day More Sickened’

Australian death doom outfit Mammon’s Throne recently announced the release of their third full length My Body to the Worms on 13th March, 2026 via Hammerheart Records. Today, the band unveil the third new track for ‘Everyday More Sickened’ with an old-school 90s aesthetic video in the vein of classic Morbid Angel and Hypocrisy.

Pre-order My Body to the Worms here: https://mammonsthrone.lnk.to/mybodytotheworms

Mammon’s Throne comment on the track and video: “‘Every Day More Sickened'” was the last song written for the album and in fact, it was only completed the day before we hit the studio!
This sense of urgency made the result all the sweeter when we finally played it in full for the first time. It has become our personal favourite song on the record and stands as an encapsulation of all the influences throughout the album.

“Despite the somewhat rushed finish, the recording of the song went smoother than we could anticipate. As if it was meant to be. For the music video we decided to go with an old-school 90s aesthetic in the vein of classic Morbid Angel and Hypocrisy videos. Something you might have seen on MTV back when it still existed and actually played music.

“The beginning verses of the song came from an unfinished song in an old band a few of the members were in that never came to fruition. We felt it was time to resurrect the idea for this album because the lyrical themes are as relevant as ever and suited the mood of the album as a whole. They deal with being disgusted with the world around you and sinking further and further into despair. We hope you enjoy.
“

After relentless gigging and the success of their 2020 debut album Forward Unto Flame, Mammon’s Throne have established themselves as a force to be reckoned within the Australian live music scene. They followed this up with an epic offering of extreme doom on their self-titled release in 2023. This album saw the band fully embrace the death-doom and black metal aspects of their sound and was met with great admiration by listeners and reviewers.

On the back of the strength of their live performances and respect within the local music community, the band have supported multiple international touring acts such as My Dying Bride, Pallbearer, Conan, Triumph of Death and Rotting Christ to name a few and have done a run of shows in Japan in 2024.

Mammon’s Throne have signed with Hammerheart Records to release their third album My Body to the Worms, which is due on the 13th of March 2026 and represents their most ambitious work to date. The band effortlessly weaves elements of death metal, black metal, doom metal and more to create an engrossing and narrative atmosphere with poignant and memorable lyrics, intricate guitar work and diverse vocal styles that are sure to keep listeners coming back time and time again.

Track-list:
1. Senseless Death
2. Clandestine Unholy Rites
3. Elixir
4. Every Day More Sickened
5. At the Threshold of Eternity
6. An Angel’s Grace
7. Departed
