In this latest episode of his ‘Peaceville Days’ podcast, Dave Pybus catches up with vocalist Tomas Lindberg of influential Swedish death metal masters AT THE GATES, and discusses the formative years of the band and their Deaf Records/Peaceville legacy, as well as thoughts on AT THE GATES’ album visual aesthetics, including Tomas’ input in the design of the iconic Darkthrone logo.
In the Peaceville podcast series, former Peaceville Records employee, Dave Pybus, responsible for the layout and design of many classic titles (and perhaps more widely known for his time with Anathema and Cradle of Filth), discusses his days at the company at the start of the 1990s, and talks with some of the bands and artists from back then, reflecting on the ways of the industry and the changes since.
Swedish melodic Death Metal pioneers AT THE GATES continue to promote their high acclaimed “At War With reality” comeback-album with appearances across Europe.
AT THE GATES have now been confirmed to appear on the main stage of UK’s prestigious Download festival on June 12th. AT THE GATES has teamed up with Live Nation and Yahoo to live-stream their April 6th concert live from Chicago, IL. This is one of 365 concerts to stream over a 12-month period on the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo Screen.
Fans will also have the freedom to stream the concert wherever they are through Yahoo Screen on iOS, Android, mobile Web, desktop, and Smart TV platforms including Apple TV, Roku, and Xbox 360.

Swedish metal legends AT THE GATES will headline Damnation Festival in their only UK show of 2015.
The melodic death pioneers will top the Jagermeister Stage at Leeds University Union on Saturday, November 7.
The band stated: “We are very happy to announce that At The Gates will be a part of the Damnation Festival 2015. “Especially fun to be back on Yorkshire soil where it all started back in the day on Deaf/Peaceville Records. “See you there folks!”
AT THE GATES are the first of 27 bands to be announced for the eleventh instalment of the festival, which will have a reduced capacity this year to ease fans’ concerns over congestion, following last year’s sold out event.
Ticket prices will also be frozen at £36, as a thanks for the continued support from fans over the past decade.
Festival director Gavin McInally said: “We plan to, once again, deliver the best line-up of music the UK will see this year at a cost to our fans which is also unrivalled, and having At The Gates as our first announcement can be taken as a statement of our intent for 2015. “Our capacity has been decreased, our ticket prices will remain the same and by the time we’ve completed our four stages of, we fully expect another sold out day of Damnation this November.”

The band will also set out on their first full length North American tour tonight, with label-mates Napalm Death, since the release of their most recent album, TARGET EARTH, which was released in January of 2013.
