GOST: Announce European Headlining Tour With SVART CROWN

While they are finalizing their current run with Mayhem and Gaahls Wyrd, GOST announce their European headlining tour with support coming from the French black/Death metal band and label mates SVART CROWN.

GOST comment: “We are extremely excited to share ‘Valediction’ with a full performance of the album mixed with some older favorites on our upcoming headlining tour!  We will have a new stage show with us that will burn your eyes out of your skull as well!”

SVART CROWN cannot wait to present their upcoming studio album live: “We are really happy to announce the first tour for our new album. Since we are always up for jumping on the most diverse and unique packages we strongly believe we found a great one with GOST. Expect nothing, but a really bleak immersive live set with brand new songs and new live set-up.”

Britain’s best loved rock ‘n’ roll band, THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT, are due to kick off a European headlining tour tonight – Thursday, March 13th – in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.

The band are taking their award-winning brand of rock ‘n’ roll around the continent in support of their critically-acclaimed debut album, including what will be their biggest headline show ever at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on April 30th.

MOTORHEAD: Postpone European Tour

Motörhead‘s Lemmy has made an announcement via the band’s official facebook page that they have postponed the upcoming European tour:

“I have to sadly let you know that Motörhead has had to postpone the forthcoming European tour until early next year, 2014.

We have made the decision because I am not quite ready to hit the road yet, and am working my way back to full fitness and rude health. Don’t worry – I’m not about to start promoting veganism and alcohol-free beverages, but it is fair to say that I personally have been reconfiguring areas of my life to make sure I can come back fitter and stronger than ever.

It disappointed me tremendously to have to say I wasn’t quite ready to hit the road yet, but not nearly as much as it would’ve disappointed me to go out, play some average shows and watch my health give way long before the tour was over! When people come to see a Motörhead tour, they expect a Motörhead show, and that is exactly what you will get as soon as I am fit and ready to rumble.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated…and know that I’m getting stronger and stronger every day, so watch out next spring Europe and we will see you then.

Looks like February will be bedazzled by a rather black sun: British dark / black metal fan faves CRADLE OF FILTH will embark on a 19-date European co-headlining tour with Polish death / black metal legends BEHEMOTH!!!

BEHEMOTH might have been a classic black metal act in their early days (circa “Sventevith” 1995), but the priorities of mastermind Nergal shifted quickly: the following years saw the band opt for a death metal approach, and progressive / experimental influences turned BEHEMOTH into a multi-faceted and unique beast on albums such as “Zos Kia Cultus” (2002)! After the landmark release of “Evangelion” (2009), Nergal had to face leukemia – and battled this severe disease successfully! They`ll release “The Satanist” in 2014 and you can look forward to pitch-black shows pairing avant-garde spirit with the atmosphere of a black mass!!!

SEPULTURA‘s new album, “The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart”, will be released on October 25 via Nuclear Blast Records. The artwork for the CD was created by Brazilian artist Alexandre Wagner, who specializes in charcoal drawing techniques.

Although it was inspired by Fritz Lang‘s classic 1927 movie “Metropolis”, the CD, “The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart” is not a concept album or a soundtrack like its precedessors “Dante XXI” (based on “The Divine Comedy”) and “A-Lex” (based on “A Clockwork Orange”).

“The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart” was tracked over a 40-day period at producer Ross Robinson‘s (KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, SLIPKNOT) studio in Venice, California and is being mixed and mastered by co-producer Steve Evetts, who previously worked with SEPULTURA on the “Nation” (2001), “Revolusongs” (2002) and “Roorback” (2003) albums, in addition to having collaborated with Ross on a number of other projects in the past.

SEPULTURA recorded a total of 14 songs for the follow-up to 2011’s “Kairos”, including a cover version of DEATH‘s “Zombie Ritual”. The CD will also feature a guest appearance by former SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo.

SEPULTURA‘s upcoming CD will mark the first time the band will have recorded an album outside Brazil since “Against”.

The reunion between SEPULTURA and Robinson was first suggested by Monte Conner, the former Roadrunner Records A&R chief who is now the head of Nuclear Blast Entertainment, a U.S. partnership with Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger.

Robinson produced SEPULTURA‘s classic “Roots” album in 1995. Released in February 1996 by Roadrunner, it was the band’s last studio album to feature founding member and vocalist Max Cavalera.
