Danish band MALRUN has released their brand new video. The song “Cycle of Abuse” is the second single taken from their up-coming album “Two Thrones”, that will be released on August 29! Check it out below:
The new Malrun album “Two Thrones” is written with the ambition of incorporating the touring experiences Malrun gained in 2012/2013 from interacting with the European live audience. As a result, Malrun has sought to make the new songs more “immediately impacting” to the listener as well as the live audience. The music has kept all of its technical elements but with a constant focus on how to ensure that the audience will instantly feel the music. The new album is more metal and “raw” in its composition than Malrun’s prior albums, yet at the same time without a doubt also the most melodic album Malrun has ever made. The band spent a lot of energy and time finding the right balance and blend and, as a result, the new album caters to both the metal audience and the rock audience at the same time.

Danish metal band MALRUN releases their new single “Justine” which will come out on March 14th. It’s the Band’s first single from the upcoming third album, “Two Thrones”, to be released worldwide on August 29, via ViciSolum Productions.
“Justine” is a testimony of the evolvement MALRUN has undergone throughout the last two years of European touring with bands such as Tremonti, Emil Bulls etc. The band has incorporated the live experiences and the connection with the audience in the writing process, and as a result people will most likely find that Malrun anno 2014 sounds more mature, more massive and aggressive than ever before, yet the band has not forgotten the focus on the melodic aspects which people may relate to. As
before the lyrical universe of Malrun has deeper underlying message and centers around the human shadow sides and duality, this time taking inspiration in the bizarre writings of an 18th century French author.

Danish hard rockers, MALRUN have just signed a new record deal with the Swedish record label ViciSolum Productions and will release their highly anticipated 3rd album on 29th August 2014.
For the past couple of months MALRUN has been in close dialogue with several European record labels and ended up signing with ViciSolum Productions that offered the exact right mix of dedication, commitment and ambition in process of launching MALRUN to the next level.
Since the release of “The Empty Frame” in 2012 MALRUN has continuously built up a growing fan base and is now returning with an even more melodic, aggressive, groovy, and powerful album. MALRUN toured a lot in Europe in 2012 and 2013 with bands such as Tremonti, Emil Bulls etc., and the intensive experiences with the European live audience has this time been incorporated directly in the creative writing process for the new album in order to make the music even more accessible/effectful.
The band has once again teamed up with the experienced producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe) who has produced, mixed, and mastered the album. This time around, the collaboration band and producer pressed each other out of former comfort zones in order to forge an even more forceful and heavy sound to support the more aggressive, yet melodic musical ventures of the new album.
Fans of MALRUN will not have to wait long for new music though. The 1st single, “Justine”, will be released already March 14th, and a music video for the 2nd single “Cycle of Abuse” is scheduled for release in June.
MALRUN expect to support the new album with summer festivals as well as tours throughout fall 2014 and spring 2015.
