REVOLUTION SAINTS head into the studio next week in Italy to start the recording of their highly anticipated second record with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio, who also produced the debut album.
Deen Castronovo (ex Journey, Bad English), Doug Aldrich (The Dead Daisies, ex Whitesnake/David Coverdale, Ronnie James Dio), and Jack Blades (Night Ranger Damn Yankees) will record a scorching set of songs written by Doug and Alessandro between the end of 2016 and early 2017.
In between recording sessions, Revolution Saints will make their official live debut at the Frontiers Rock Festival in Trezzo (Milan, Italy) where they will be performing a setlist of songs from their first album, plus a few surprises! The band hopes to do more shows to promote the forthcoming album, which is currently set for a release in early October via Frontiers Music srl.
Watch “Here Forever”, from REVOLUTION SAINTS‘ debut album:
According to Fox12 Oregon, JOURNEY/REVOLUTION SAINTS‘ Deen Castronovo, who also happens to be a native Oregonian is stepping in to help, donating $10,000, after a 4-alarm fire ripped through South Albany High School, destroying the cafeteria as well as choir, cheer and band equipment.
Journey drummer Deen Castronovo grew up in Salem, and was a high school band member himself.
“That was the only reason I stayed in school. I was terrible in every subject except band,” Castronovo joked on the phone with Fox 12 on Wednesday.
Castronovo is out of state on tour, but when a longtime friend from Salem told him about the fire he knew what he had to do.
“I called my wife and asked her if we could do this and if she’d be on board with me,” he said. “And instantly we [agreed] – yeah, it’s the right thing to do.”
Furthermore Deen wants to go to Albany to deliver the donation personally.
“It was the least we could do, to do what we can to build that program back up for the kids. Keep your heads up,” Castronovo added. “This is a bad one, but it’s true – don’t stop believin’.”

Alex Shumaker, 8 year old drummer, has posted on his Youtube Channel the drum cover of REVOLUTION SAINTS’“Turn Back Time”, check it out below.
Comments Alex: Revolution Saints released their full album today in the US. My #1 drummer Deen Castronovo did an amazing job as lead singer/drummer on this album along with Jack Blade & Doug Aldrich. Here is my drum cover for “Turn Back Time”.
Alex Shumaker was born May 16, 2006, he resides in Punxsutawney, PA.
Alex was interested in Classic Rock bands such as Journey, Foreigner, Reo Speed Wagon and Styx since age 4.
While most 5 years were headed to the Toy section at Walmart Alex would ask to go to “look” at the CD’s. On February 10, 2012 while browsing the CD’s Alex found a DVD of the band Journey with their new lead singer Arnel. Alex became fixated on drummer Deen Castronovo, he went and got an exercise ball and put it in front of the TV and grabbed some kitchen utensils for his make shift drum set. He watched the video over and over again and broke every kitchen utensil his parents had so when his dad came home from work he cut a pair of plastic coat hangers for him to use.
That evening Alex’s mom posted a picture of his drum “kit” on Facebook with the heading “you gotta do what you gotta do when your parents won’t buy you a drum set!” The phone soon rang and it was Alex’s Nana wanting to speak with him. His parents weren’t all that thrilled when he started screaming “Nana and Papa are buying me a real drum set on Saturday”. Alex received that little drum kit and played it for hours on end, at least 3-4 hours a day watching the Journey DVD over and over trying copy Deen’s every move.
Every time Alex went to Walmart he got a CD. One day another DVD appeared, this time it was the band Foreigner with then drummer Brian Tichy. Alex became obsessed with Tichy’s theatrics of stick throwing/bouncing.
After a few months of playing Alex’s parents enrolled him in drum lessons once a week with teacher Brian Rowan with whom he is still under the instruction of.
To date along with Castronovo and Tichy the most influential drummers for Alex have been: Todd Sucherman of Styx, Brian Hitt of Reo Speedwagon, Chris Fraizer of Foreigner, Peter Criss of Kiss, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, Neil Peart of Rush, Sean Fuller of Florida Georgia Line and Rich Redmond of Jason Aldean to mention a few.
REVOLUTION SAINTS‘s self-titled album came out on February 20th in Europe and February 24th in North America via Frontiers Music SRL, now the band has unleashed a new track for streaming “In The Name Of The Father”, check it out below.
Comments Alessandro Del Vecchio:
Me and my buddy Pete Alpenborg wrote a very deep tune for Revolution Saints. Dedicated to whoever lost a dear person…a prayer for peace on the other side.
Just recently REVOLUTION SAINTS released other songs and videos from the new album, check them out here:

From the opening notes of ‘Back On My Trail’ to the piano outro on the album-closer ‘In The Name Of The Father (Fernando’s Song),’ it is clear Revolution Saints is a musical force to be reckoned with. Songs ‘Locked Out Of Paradise,’ ‘Dream On’ and ‘Here Forever’ showcase the diversity that permeates throughout the entire album.
Deen’s band mates from Journey also make an appearance on the album with guitarist Neal Schon showing up on ‘Way To The Sun’ and vocalist Arnel Pineda singing on ‘You’re Not Alone.’ The album’s 80’s vibe is reminiscent of some of the biggest hard rock tracks of the day, but with a modern feel, backed by top-level musicianship.
