Guitarist Jeff Kollman (COSMOSQUAD, BOMBASTIC MEATBATS, GLENN HUGHES) is the latest addition to the SEBASTIAN BACH touring band which also features Kollman’s long-time musical companion Kevin Chown (BOMBASTIC MEATBATS, TARJA) on bass and Bobby Jarzombek (FATES WARNING, HALFORD, RIOT) on drums. Kollman will be with Bach for the rest of his current U.S. run of dates which ends July 14 in Dallas, TX .
“Hey everyone, I’m six dates into the tour with Sebastian Bach and I’m having a blast! Playing all these places around the Midwest is taking me right back to the Edwin Dare days and all the rock’n’roll craziness (Kevin) Chown and I lived through when we were kids. It’s so great to be playing with these guys – Sebastian is a powerhouse and killin’ it every night, Bobby is a machine (only took us about a dozen year to finally play together in a band situation!), and Kevin is like a musical brother. You gotta come out and see this band – it just keeps getting better now that we’re dialed in. Check out the cover of Jimi Hendrix’ ‘Fire’ below:
We did the other night in Sioux Falls , SD ! We’re at this great amphitheatre in Sterling Heights , MI tonight, ready to rock, and then we’ve got another dozens shows between Ohio and Texas . Can’t wait!”
In other Kollman news, the guitarist recently reunited with ASIA feat. John Payne for a one-off show at the Canyon Club in Los Angeles , CA . Footage of the 1982 classic ‘Heat of the Moment’ can be viewed at this location:
Kollman will also be back with Japanese superstar Eikicki Yazawa later this fall. Confirmed tour dates include the ‘Rock In Dome’ show at Tokyo ’s giant Tokyo Dome on September 5.
Finally, Kollman has announced a demo archives compilation of early recordings from his pre-EDWIN DARE days, set to be released sometime in the fall. Tentatively titled ‘Jeff & Tommy Kollman – the Heavy Metal Teenage Years’; the album is set to contain 18 songs from the brothers’ formative years in Toledo, OH before they set out to conquer the world with their first band VXN.

”Hey all, I finally sat down and finished editing some drumming video footage of myself from the recording sessions of Fates Warning’s “Darkness In A Different Light” at The Carriage House in Stamford, CT. DIADL was released in October 2013, and, of course, I’ve have this footage for a while but for various reasons I never got around to editing it until now. Better late than never, I guess. The two songs in this particular video clip are “I Am” and “One Thousand Fires.” Enjoy!”
“Darkness In A Different Light” is FATES WARNING first album to feature Jarzombek on drums who has been part of the band’s touring line-up since 2007. Jarzombek previously recorded 2011’s ARCH/MATHEOS’ “Sympathetic Resonance” album with Fates alumni John Arch, Jim Matheos, Joey Vera and Frank Aresti.

Graspop Metal Meeting has confirmed LIMP BIZKIT as second headliner for Saturday June 28. Read below:

Two years ago LIMP BIZKIT amazed both friend and foe with a hard-hitting headlining show that topped off the second festival day. Their obstinate mix of nu-metal lavishly covered with a hip hop sauce was one of the day’s highlights and the crowd in front of the stage really let their hair down. This GMM-edition Fred Durst and friends will be providing top entertainment as headliner on Mainstage 2 on Saturday June 28. Their new album, ‘Stampede of the Disco Elephants’, is scheduled for an early 2014 release so there’s new material to look forward to as well. Judging by their previous GMM show we’re in for crazy costumes, the occasional striking cover and boundless live energy. These guys know how to whip an arena into a frenzy so come prepared.
Also confirmed: BEHEMOTH, TRIVIUM, MISS MAY I, CIVIL WAR, LYNCH BOB, STEEL PANTHER, SEBASTIAN BACH, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, WALKING PAPERS, PROTEST THE HERO, SEETHER, NILE, POWERMAN 5000
