Two more international drummers have been announced for the upcoming DEMONSTEALER release – Krimh of SEPTICFLESH, ex-DECAPITATED and Romain of BENIGHTED, NECROPHAGIST. This is by far the most ambitious lineup for any release here in the sub-continent. Talking about the new material, Romain said –
“Sahil (aka DEMONSTEALER) sent me his new song without any drums, and first listen, I already had many ideas in my head!! That’s always a good sign, this is inspiring stuff, I’m looking forward to this collaboration!”
Prior to this, two other drummers namely Kevin Paradis and David Diepold were announced who also have the honour of playing with the mighty BENIGHTED. This unique strategy goes hand-in-hand with the ongoing crowdfunding campaign which has now reached 85% of the target. The Pledgemusic link can be found here.
So with four drummers playing on different songs each, expectations are high as to how much of their individual styles will rub off on DEMONSTEALER‘s music, which is predominantly death metal. The new material is said to be much faster and heavier, and the samples that are posted by Sahil on the official page sound very promising indeed.
DEMONSTEALER is the solo project of Sahil Makhija who is the founding member of one of India’s biggest bands, DEMONIC RESURRECTION. He dons multiple roles and the music too is completely in his own vision with ample experimentation and collaborations. The previous DEMONSTEALER album received much praise and saw the release of several official videos in its support. The new album is said to be more death metal and with a number of exemplary musicians slated to be a part of it, it’s highly anticipated around the world.
DEMONSTEALER have also recruited the services of renowned Indian artist Reuben Bhattacharya (Visual Amnesia), who did the breathtaking artwork of the latest DEMONIC RESURRECTION album which you can see below.

After Dusk is a heavy metal band from Athens, Greece founded in 1998. They have released 3 full-length albums and played many concerts in venues and festivals. The band describes their music by a quote, written by the press, for one of their records: “…pure heavy metal can exist…”
Their latest album is entitled “The Character Of Physical Law”. Produced by After Dusk, engineered, mixed and mastered by George Emmanuel and released worldwide on May 23rd, 2017. The goal was to forge their heavy, thrash and black metal alloys into one.
On October 13th, true avant-garde Norwegians ENSLAVED will herald a new era of their career and melds mesmerising prog with jarring extreme metal on their highly anticipated new album “E”. After discussing the seemingly simplistic album title in a previous trailer, the band now unveils a second album trailer. In this clip, singer and lyricist Grutle Kjellson discusses finding their new keyboarder and clean vocalist Håkon Vinje, after the departure of their long-time friend Herbrand Larsen. Norwegian black metallers RAGNAROK will embark on Latin American tour with their new bassist Rammr (Jordskipstyrann,Elvarhøi) on September 6th. Watch the tour trailer below:
Having spent the last year using session bass players for their live appearances, RAGNAROK announced that Rammr has joined the band on a full-time, permanent basis, shortly after the band’s appearance at this year’s Kaltenbach Open Air in Austria.
“Originally it was our intention to use a session bassist going forward,” explains founder and frontman Jontho, who recently switched roles to become the band’s vocalist. “However, during the shows he did with us, Rammr’s dedication to his craft, and to Ragnarok itself, became very evident to everyone. He fits in perfectly with the rest of the band, which includes Bolverk on guitars and drummer Daniel Minge (Dauden), not only on stage, but also on a personal level. Most importantly, he understands our ideology, and what Ragnarok expects of its members, and after yet another incredible performance from him at Kaltenbach Open Air recently, I thought it was right to make him a full member”.
RAGNAROK are set to hit the road in September, for a thirteen-date tour of South America, where the band has a considerable following. The five-piece, Helsinki based heavy metal band BEAST IN BLACK was founded by Anton Kabanen soon after he had parted ways with BATTLE BEAST in 2015. By the end of 2015 the band played their first gig as opening act for NIGHTWISH. The making of “Berserker” was already in progress back then and it was completed in summer 2017. A deal was signed with Nuclear Blast almost immediately after the completion of the album.
“Berserker” continues in the style of Anton‘s previously composed works which include the first three BATTLE BEAST albums. One of the essential themes on this debut album is the Japanese manga and anime “Berserk”.
